The genus Dilar Rambur, 1838 (Neuroptera, Dilaridae) is the most species-rich genus of the family Dilaridae and is diverse in China, previously with 32 described species. Here we report two new species of Dilar from the southern part of the Hengduan Mountains, Sichuan, southwestern China, namely Dilar muliensis sp. nov. and Dilar punctulosus sp. nov. A revised key to species of Dilar from China is provided.

A growing body of evidence has been supporting the existence of so-called "dark molecular gas" (DMG), which is invisible in the most common tracer of molecular gas, i.e., CO rotational emission. DMG is believed to be the main gas component of the intermediate extinction region from Av~0.05-2, roughly corresponding to the self-shielding threshold of $H_2$ and $^{13}CO$. To quantify DMG relative to $H{\small{I}}$ and CO, we are pursuing three observational techniques; $H{\small{I}}$ self-absorption, OH absorption, and THz $C^+$ emission. In this paper, we focus on preliminary results from a CO and OH absorption survey of DMG candidates. Our analysis shows that the OH excitation temperature is close to that of the Galactic continuum background and that OH is a good DMG tracer co-existing with molecular hydrogen in regions without CO. Through systematic "absorption mapping" by the Square Kilometer Array (SKA) and ALMA, we will have unprecedented, comprehensive knowledge of the ISM components including DMG in terms of their temperature and density, which will impact our understanding of galaxy evolution and star formation profoundly.
Giant Ganglioneuroma of Thoracic Spine : A Case Report and Review of Literature
Huang, Yong,Liu, Lidi,Li, Qiao,Zhang, Shaokun The Korean Neurosurgical Society 2017 Journal of Korean neurosurgical society Vol.60 No.3
Ganglioneuroma (GN) is a rare benign tumor of neural crest origin usually found in the abdomen, but may occasionally present at uncommon sites including the cervical, lumbar, or sacral spine. However, GNs of thoracic spine are extremely rare. In this report, we describe a 12-year-old girl with giant GN in the thoracic spine, who underwent successful resection (T1-4 level) of the tumor. Histopathological examination confirmed the diagnosis. GN should be considered in the differential diagnosis of any paraspinal mass. A high index of suspicion and correlation of clinico-radiological findings is necessary in differentiating a large benign tumor from a malignant growth. Complete surgical excision is the treatment of choice; however tumor size and location need to be considered for the surgical approach (one-step or multiple surgeries). Close follow-up after surgery is mandatory.
Corn Hybrid Variety Identification Based on Computer Vision
( Yang Tao ),( Wang Lidi ),( Li Qingji ) 한국농공학회 2008 한국농공학회 학술대회초록집 Vol.2008 No.-
Variety purity is the most important quality index of corn hybrid seed, corn variety purity has a great influence on corn production and quality, but variety identification is very difficult. Electrophoretic method wasa new variety identification method developed in recent years. It was rapid, simple, accurate and reproducible. Because the electrophoretogram recognition relied on human completely, this demanded users having high technique level. In this paper, a computer vision system was developed for corn hybrid variety identification by corn seed electrophoretogram processing and analysis. The method of qasi-wavelet edge multi-scale detection based on Gaussian filter and vector differential operator was used to extract feature of characteristic bands successfully. A BP neural network classifier was designed for classification of corn hybrid electrophoretogram, the test results demonstrated that classification accuracy is 96%. Based on the proposed theories and methods, a set of applied software was developed for corn hybrid variety identification. It was tested with 30 kinds of corn hybrid, the results demonstrated that the system provided an accuracy of 95% compared to experts inspection.

Purpose: To investigate the distribution of CD44+/CD24- cells in breast cancers in relation to tumor size before and after the administration of neoadjuvant chemotherapy. Methods: CD44+/CD24- tumor cells obtained from breast cancer specimens were characterized in vivo and in vitro using tumor formation assays and mammosphere generation assays, respectively. The distribution of CD44+/CD24- tumor cells in 78 breast cancer specimens following administration of neoadjuvant chemotherapy was also evaluated using immunofluorescence assays, and this distribution was compared with the extent of tumor invasion predicted by Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumours (RECIST). Results: In 27/78 cases, complete remission (CR) was identified using RECIST. However, 18 of these CR cases were associated with a scattered distribution of tumor stem cells in the outline of the original tumor prior to neoadjuvant chemotherapy. After neoadjuvant chemotherapy, 24 cases involved cancer cells that were confined to the tumor outline, and 21 cases had tumor cells or tumor stem cells overlapping the tumor outline. In addition, there were 6 patients who were insensitive to chemotherapy, and in these cases, both cancer cells and stem cells were detected outside the contours of the tumor volume imaged prior to chemotherapy. Conclusion:CD44+/CD24- tumor cells may be an additional parameter to evaluate when determining the extent of breast cancer invasion.
