Purpose: This study was done to analyze the effect of supervisor-focused impression management behavior of the airline cabin crew on perceived customer empathy. It focused on verifying dual meanings of the crew’s emotional expression divided into surface acting and deep acting. Research design, data and methodology: The survey was conducted on cabin crews of two major Korean airlines. The reliability and validity of each variable used in the questionnaire were verified. Then, each hypothesis was analyzed through multiple regression analysis. Results: Firstly, the crew s supervisor-focused impression management behavior had a significant effect only on surface acting of the crew s emotional labor behavior. Among the crew’s supervisor-focused IM behaviors, verbal IM behavior had a greater influence on surface acting than non-verbal IM behavior. Secondly, there was no relationship between the crew s supervisor-focused IM behavior and the crew s deep acting. Thirdly, the crew s emotional labor behavior (surface acting & deep acting) had a significant effect on perceived customer empathy. Fourth, the crew s deep acting had a greater influence on perceived customer empathy than surface acting. Conclusions: Cabin crews receive double evaluation from their immediate supervisors and customers. As a result, it was confirmed that the crew’s supervisor-focused IM behavior, the crew’s emotional labor behavior, and perceived customer empathy were connected process.

Background: Cellulitis is an acute infection of the dermal and subcutaneous layers of the skin which is commonly seen by dermatologist but there are few recent reports about clinical data of cellulitis in Korean literature. Objectives: This study was conducted to evaluate the clinical characteristics of cellulitis in recent five years and to help diagnosis and treatment of cellulitis. Methods: We reviewed the medical records of 77 patients who were diagnosed and hospitalized as cellulitis or erysipelas in the department of dermatology, Kangbuk Samsung Hospital from March 2008 to February 2013. Results: There was positive correlation between age and hospitalized days (p<0.05). The most commonly involved site was foot (35.1%). Tinea pedis was suspected in 24 cases (31.2%). Elevation of C-reactive protein (CRP) was observed in 55 cases (73.3%) and there were positive correlation not only between CRP and hospitalized days (p<0.05) but also between white blood cell (WBC) count and hospitalized days (p<0.05). First generation cephalosporin was chosen as primary antibiotic in 31 cases (40.3%) and mean duration of antibitotic treatment was 12.4 days. Systemic steroid was added in 21 cases (27.3%). There was no significant difference of hospitalized days between first generation cephalosporin and other antibiotics (p>0.05). Conclusion: Clinical course of cellulitis was inversely correlated to the elevation of patient`s age, WBC count and CRP.
P081 : A clinical study of skin diseases on the anogenital areas
( Heun Joo Lee ),( Jung In Kim ),( Jung Min ),( Hyun Min Seo ),( Sang Hyeon Hwang ),( Yoon Hwan Kim ),( Joon Hong Min ),( Joon Lee ),( Seung Jae Lee ),( Ji Hye Park ),( Ga Young Lee ),( Soo Hong Park 대한피부과학회 2013 대한피부과학회 학술발표대회집 Vol.65 No.2
Background: Skin diseases on the anogenital areas cause sexual and functional problems, and these problems are important to most patients, so awareness of these disease entities is very important. Objectives: This study was performed to investigate the epidemiological aspects of skin diseases on anogenital areas that were confirmed by biopsies, and we wanted to highlight the clinical features of dermatoses of the anogenital areas. Methods: We retrospectively reviewed the data of 132 patients with anogenital lesions and these lesions were confirmed by biopsy at Kangbuk Samsung Hospital between January 2008 and June 2013. Results: The ratio of males to females was 104:28. The most frequent anogenital skin diseases of men were condyloma acuminatum(26%), epidermal cyst(9%), calcinosis cutis(7%), extramammary paget`s disease(7%), and the most frequent anogenital skin diseases of women were condyloma acuminatum(25%), Behcet`s disease(18%), epidermal cyst(11%). Of the 132 cases, 81 had papules or nodules, 32 had patches or plaques, and 19 had vesicles, erosions or ulcers. Conclusion: We retrospectively studied 132 cases of anogenital skin diseases. This study suggests that various conditions, including sexually transmitted infections, neoplasms, ulcerative disorders, and inflammatory dermatoses, can affect the anogenital areas and show different characteristics according to the diagnosis. These diseasespecific characteristics may be helpful to diagnosis before histopathological confirmations.
P223 : Clinical and histologic study of pigmented purpuric dermatoses
( Sang Hyeon Hwang ),( Jung In Kim ),( Jung Min ),( Hyun Min Seo ),( Heun Joo Lee ),( Yoon Hwan Kim ),( Joon Hong Min ),( Joon Lee ),( Seung Jae Lee ),( Ji Hye Park ),( Ga Young Lee ),( Soo Hong Park 대한피부과학회 2013 대한피부과학회 학술발표대회집 Vol.65 No.2
Background: Pigmented purpuric dermatoses (PPD) are chronic and relapsing disorders characterized by asymmetrical rash of petechial and pigmentary macules confined to the lower limbs. Clinical and histopathological study of PPD has not been conducted in Korea. Objectives: The aim of this study was to investigate the clinical and histopathological features of PPD in Koreans. Methods: We reviewed all the medical records, photographs and histopathological slides of 35 patients who had been diagnosed with PPD at Kangbuk Samsung Hospital between January 2008 and June 2013. Results: The mean duration of disease was 26.5 months, and both legs were most frequently involved site (85.7%). Most of the patients were asymptomatic (74.2%). Patients were treated with topical or systemic steroid in 30 cases (85.7%) and 9 patients were added tranexamic acid but there was no difference in the clinical course according to the treatment. The identified etiologic factors were orthostatic pressure (17.1%) and exercise (5.7%). Patients without etiologic factors had more frequent incidence of medical problems (p<0.05). The major microscopic features of the lesions of PPD were perivascular lymphohistiocytic infiltration, extravasated erythrocytes and hemosiderin deposition. Conclusion: The results of this study may help clinicians to diagnose PPD and it should be included in differential diagnosis when cutaneous lesions especially show asymptomatic persisting rash on both lower legs.

Purpose - The increase in organizational citizenship behavior is important in that it creates a cooperative atmosphere within the organization. Proving how OCB toward coworkers changes in negative leadership situations such as abusive supervision is a new research stream. Therefore, this study examines the main effects of the supervisor s abusive supervision on OCB of subordinates for coworkers, and then attempts to clarify that the perceived LMX differentiation of team members play a moderating role. Research design, data, and methodology - First, we examine the effects of the supervisor s abusive supervision on OCB of subordinates in the team toward colleagues. Second, the degree of perceived LMX differentiation is measured to verify the moderating effect of abusive supervision on OCB toward coworkers. Result - Hypothesis 1 is that abusive supervision has a negative effect on coworkers’ OCB. Hypotheses 2-1, 2-2, and 2-3 test the moderating effect of perceived LMX differentiation, and the relationship between abusive supervision and coworkers’ OCB will change according to the perceived degree of LMX differentiation. Conclusion - It is significant in that the scope of abusive supervision research has been expanded through the team level moderator of perceived LMX differentiation, away from the research on abusive supervision that was mainly discussed at the level of dyadic relationship (between the supervisor and the one subordinate).

A female patient (64 years of age; body mass index, 26) had a markedly and relatively low low-density lipoprotein-cholesterol (LDL-C) level (97 mg/dl) despite high serum total cholesterol (TC) (331 mg/dl) and triacylglyceride levels (307 mg/dl). Since the expected LDL-C was 222 mg/dl, there was a significant difference between the calculation and measurement based on direct enzyme assay. Only 30% of serum cholesterol was associated with LDL-C in this patient. To determine the basis for the markedly low LDL-C/TC ratio, we isolated and analyzed lipoproteins from the patient as well as age- and gender-matched controls. The patient had lowered serum CETP activity and elevated paraoxonase activity with GOT and GPT values in the normal range. The very low-density lipoprotein particles from the patient were larger than those of the controls and enriched with lipid and protein, while the LDL from the patient (LDL-P) had a lower particle number and protein content than the controls. The LDL-P was more resistant to cupric ion-mediated oxidation. HDL2 from the patient (HDL2-P) had highly enhanced paraoxonase activity and antioxidant ability. The patient had a 1.5-fold higher level of apolipoprotein (apo) A-I expression in HDL2. ApoA-I in HDL2 and HDL3 from the patient showed no fragmentation, while the control had fragmented bands (17 and 21 kDa) in the HDL. The HDL2-P also had a larger particle size and greater protein content with less lipid content. HDL3-associated cholesteryl ester transfer protein was reduced in the patient, although the particle size was similar to the controls. In conclusion, a patient who had a markedly lower LDL-C/TC ratio despite hyperlipidemia associated with higher paraoxonase activity, higher apoA-I level and lower CETP activity without fragmentation of apoA-I in the HDL fraction is presented. The enhanced antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity of HDL might contribute to the low LDL-C/TC ratio in this patient.
