• Structural Components Of The Digital Competence Of The Master Of Production Training Of The Agricultural Profile

Kovalchuk, Vasyl,Zaika, Artem,Hriadushcha, Vira,Kucherak, Iryna International Journal of Computer ScienceNetwork S 2022 International journal of computer science and netw Vol.22 No.7

With the rapid development and introduction of digital technologies, both everyday human life and technological processes of any production are changing, which stimulates the transformation of the economy and education. Digital technologies are not only a tool, but also a living environment of modern human, which opens up new opportunities: learning at any convenient time, continuing education, the ability to form individual educational learning trajectories and more. However, the digital environment requires teachers to take a modern approach to the organization of the educational process, the formation of new skills and abilities to work in the digital educational environment. As a result of the study, it was found that the system of vocational education should provide training for masters of industrial training who have a high level of digital competence. The purpose of the article is to single out, theoretically substantiate and determine the level of formation of structural components of digital competence of future masters of agricultural training. The structure of digital competence of agricultural master was analyzed on the basis of domestic and foreign scientists researches. Systematized research results indicate that digital competence consists of four components: motivational-value (combination of internal and external motives for the use of digital technologies in future professional activities), cognitive (a set of theoretical knowledge, skills and abilities of future master of industrial training to effectively build educational process with the use of digital technologies), activity-professional (expansion and deepening of knowledge, skills, necessary skills for effective implementation of digital technologies in the educational process) and evaluative-reflexive (ability to analyze and self-analyze own activities and its results taking into account professional characteristics, self-realization in professional activities through the use of digital technologies). These components are comparable with the indicators that describe the knowledge, skills and abilities needed by the future master of industrial training to organize the modern educational process. A questionnaire was conducted to determine the levels of this competence formation, which allows us to conclude that it is necessary to increase the level of formation of all components of digital competence of future masters of industrial training in agriculture. The results of the study can be used as a basis for the development of disciplines that form the special competencies of masters of industrial training in agriculture and programs of advanced training of teachers.

      • Neural Networks-Based Method for Electrocardiogram Classification

Maksym Kovalchuk,Viktoriia Kharchenko,Andrii Yavorskyi,Igor Bieda,Taras Panchenko International Journal of Computer ScienceNetwork S 2023 International journal of computer science and netw Vol.23 No.9

Neural Networks are widely used for huge variety of tasks solution. Machine Learning methods are used also for signal and time series analysis, including electrocardiograms. Contemporary wearable devices, both medical and non-medical type like smart watch, allow to gather the data in real time uninterruptedly. This allows us to transfer these data for analysis or make an analysis on the device, and thus provide preliminary diagnosis, or at least fix some serious deviations. Different methods are being used for this kind of analysis, ranging from medical-oriented using distinctive features of the signal to machine learning and deep learning approaches. Here we will demonstrate a neural network-based approach to this task by building an ensemble of 1D CNN classifiers and a final classifier of selection using logistic regression, random forest or support vector machine, and make the conclusions of the comparison with other approaches.

Combination of ammonium nitrate, cerium chloride and potassium chloride salts improves Agrobacterium tumefaciens-mediated transformation of Nicotiana tabacum

Igor Kovalchuk,Priti Maheshwari 한국식물생명공학회 2013 Plant biotechnology reports Vol.7 No.2

The frequency of plant transformation can beimproved by addition of various chemical into transformationmedia. In the past, we showed that exposure oftobacco, wheat and triticale explants to ammonium nitrate, cerium and lantanium chloride and potassium chlorideresulted in an increase in the frequency of transformation. Here, we tested whether a combination of increased concentrationsof the aforementioned salts yielded a highertransformation frequency. We found that exposure to61.8 mM ammonium nitrate caused a 5.0-fold increase intransformation frequency, whereas exposure to 1.0 lMcerium chloride or 47.0 mM potassium chloride resulted in1.2- and 2-fold increases, respectively. Exposure to61.8 mM ammonium nitrate and 1.0 lM cerium chlorideled to a 4.8-fold increase in transformation frequency, whereas exposure to 61.8 mM ammonium nitrate and47.0 mM potassium chloride let to a 5.2-fold increase. Finally, exposure to 61.8 mM ammonium nitrate, 1.0 lMcerium chloride and 47.0 mM potassium chloride produceda 5.1-fold increase. The analysis of the intactness ofT-DNA borders showed that plants exposed to ammoniumnitrate and a combination of ammonium nitrate with othersalts had the more intact right borders and the less intactleft borders. The best results were observed when all threesalts (ammonium nitrate, potassium chloride and ceriumchloride) were used. Thus, we concluded that the additionof cerium chloride and potassium chloride does not substantiallyimprove the transformation rate beyond theimprovement observed upon treatment with 61.8 mMammonium nitrate, but may slightly improve the intactnessof T-DNA borders.

      • Improvement of inspection system for common crossings by track side monitoring and prognostics

        Sysyn, Mykola,Nabochenko, Olga,Kovalchuk, Vitalii,Gruen, Dimitri,Pentsak, Andriy Techno-Press 2019 Structural monitoring and maintenance Vol.6 No.3

Scheduled inspections of common crossings are one of the main cost drivers of railway maintenance. Prognostics and health management (PHM) approach and modern monitoring means offer many possibilities in the optimization of inspections and maintenance. The present paper deals with data driven prognosis of the common crossing remaining useful life (RUL) that is based on an inertial monitoring system. The problem of scheduled inspections system for common crossings is outlined and analysed. The proposed analysis of inertial signals with the maximal overlap discrete wavelet packet transform (MODWPT) and Shannon entropy (SE) estimates enable to extract the spectral features. The relevant features for the acceleration components are selected with application of Lasso (Least absolute shrinkage and selection operator) regularization. The features are fused with time domain information about the longitudinal position of wheels impact and train velocities by multivariate regression. The fused structural health (SH) indicator has a significant correlation to the lifetime of crossing. The RUL prognosis is performed on the linear degradation stochastic model with recursive Bayesian update. Prognosis testing metrics show the promising results for common crossing inspection scheduling improvement.

Simulation of immiscible liquid–liquid flows in complex microchannel geometries using a front-tracking scheme

        Kahouadji, Lyes,Nowak, Emilia,Kovalchuk, Nina,Chergui, Jalel,Juric, Damir,Shin, Seungwon,Simmons, Mark J. H.,Craster, Richard V.,Matar, Omar K. Springer Berlin Heidelberg 2018 MICROFLUIDICS AND NANOFLUIDICS Vol.22 No.11

The three-dimensional two-phase flow dynamics inside a microfluidic device of complex geometry is simulated using a parallel, hybrid front-tracking/level-set solver. The numerical framework employed circumvents numerous meshing issues normally associated with constructing complex geometries within typical computational fluid dynamics packages. The device considered in the present work is constructed via a module that defines solid objects by means of a static distance function. The construction combines primitive objects, such as a cylinder, a plane, and a torus, for instance, using simple geometrical operations. The numerical solutions predicted encompass dripping and jetting, and transitions in flow patterns are observed featuring the formation of drops, ‘pancakes’, plugs, and jets, over a wide range of flow rate ratios. We demonstrate the fact that vortex formation accompanies the development of certain flow patterns, and elucidate its role in their underlying mechanisms. Experimental visualisation with a high-speed imaging are also carried out. The numerical predictions are in excellent agreement with the experimental data.

Electronic supplementary material

The online version of this article (doi:10.1007/s10404-018-2149-y) contains supplementary material, which is available to authorized users.
