        In the design of plate girder web panels, it is required to evaluate accurately the elastic buckling strength under pure shear. Whether or not the post-buckling strength is accounted for. Currently. Elastic shear buckling coefficients of web panels stiffened by transverse intermediate stiffeners are determined by assuming conservatively that web panels are simply supported at the juncture between the flange and the web. Although the notion of the real boundary condition at the juncture of the web and flanges to be somewhere between simple and fixed has been recognized from early days, the boundary condition has been conservatively assumed. Mainly due to lack of means to evaluate it in a rational manner. In this paper. A series of numerical analyses based on a three-dimensional finite element modeling is carried out to investigate the effects of the geometric parameters on the boundary conditions at the juncture between the flange and the web.

      • Adriamycin 백서자궁경부 기질내 교원섬유에 미치는 영향

        Adriamycin은 Streptomyces peucetius var. caesius에서 추출한 항균성 항암제로서 세포내의 핵산과 결합하여 핵산 및 단백질의 합성을 억제하므로 종양세포의 증식을 억제하는 화학요법제이다. 그러나 adriamycin은 암환자에게 투여하면 종양세포 뿐 아니라 정상세포에도 손상을 초래하여 여러가지 부작용을 일으키므로 저자는 adriamycin을 백서에 투여하면 자궁경부내 섬유모세포의 단백질 합성이 억제되어 교원섬유의 양 및 분포에 변화가 야기될 것으로 사료되어 체중 200mg 내외의 Wistar계 자성 백서를 질도말법으로 발정주기를 확인하고 백서 체중 kg당 5mg의 adriamycin을 5일간 복강내에 투여하였으며, 희생시키기 직전 다시 발정주기를 확인한 후 경동맥사혈로 희생하고 개복하여 자궁경부를 적출하였다. 적출한 자궁경부는 두께 6㎛의 연속절편을 만들어 일반적인 자궁경부 조직의 변화를 관찰하기 위하여 hematoxylin 및 eosin 염색을 새행하였고 교원섬유의 관찰을 위하여 van Gieson 염색을 시행하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. Adriamycin 투여군 백서 자궁경부의 상피세포층은 대조군 백서 자궁경부의 상피세포층에 비하여 위축되었다. 2. Adriamycin 투여군 백서 자궁경부 기질내 교원섬유의 van Gieson 염색에 대한 반응은 모든 발정주기에서 감소하였다. 3. Adriamycin 투여군 백서 자궁경부 기질내 교원섬유의 분포는 대조군 백서 자궁경부 기질내 교원섬유 분포의 치밀도에 비하여 감소하였다. 이상의 결과를 종합한 바 백서에 adriamycin을 투여하면 자궁경부의 상피세포 및 섬유모세포에 독성으로 작용하여 상피세포층이 위축되고 교원섬유의 van Gieson 염색반응 정도 및 분포의 치밀도가 감소하는 것으로 사료된다. It is well known that adriamycin, an anthracycline antibiotics isolated from Streptomyces peucetius var. caesius inhibits DNA and RNA synthesis and exhibits a significant antitumor activity against various tumors. Although adriamycin is very effective against tumor cell proliferation, it may also damage the normal cells of the body and develop the toxic effects during treatment of cancer patients. In this experiment, the authors studied the effect of adriamycin on the rat uterine cervix, observing the changes in content and distribution of collagen fibers in the uterine cervix of the rat. Fourty female Wistar strain rats, weighing about 200gm and exhibiting normal estrous cycle, were used as experimental animals. After confirmaiton of estrous cycle by mean of vaginal smear, the animals of experiment and control groups were injected intraperitoneally with 5mg/kg of adriamycin diluted in 0.2ml of distilled water and with 0.2ml of normal saline for 5 days, respectively. On the 5th day after administration of adriamycin and normal saline the expeimental animals were sacrificed by carotid exsanguination. The obtained cervix uteri was fixed in 10%. neutral buffered formalin solation(pH 7.2) and paraffin sections, 6㎛ in thickness, were made. Histological preparations were prepated by way of hematoxylin and eosin stain for the general changes of uterine cervix, and van Gieson's stain for the changes of collagen fibers in rat uterine cervix. The results obtained were as follows : 1. Epithelial cells in the adriamycin treated uterine cervix were atrophied. 2. Reaction of collagen to van Gison's stain in the adriamycin treated uterine cervix was decreased at all stages of estrous cycle. 3. The distribution of collagen in the adriamycin treated uterine cervix was less compact than the control uterine cervix. Consequently, it is suggested that the atrophy of epithelial layer, a decreased reaction to van Gieson's stain, and less compact distribution of collagen fibers may be resulted from cytotoxic effect of adriamycin on the eptihelial cells and fibroblasts in the rat uterine cervix.

        한우 치은의 Collagen 함량에 관한 연구

        This investigation was performed to estimate the proteins, chiefly collagen, obtained from 2 year old bovine gingival tissues. Proteins in samples were extracted by salt or pepsin digestion. Extracted collagens were treated with 0.1% SDS and 0.1% β-mercaptoethanol in 0.01M phosphate buffer, pH 7.0, and fractionated by SDS-agarose gel column chromatography and/or SDS-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. The hydroxyproline content of salt-soluble and pepsin-soluble collagen was also determined. The results were as follows : 1. The content of hydroxyproline in gingival tissues was 54㎍/mg dry weight. The content of hydroxyproline in salt-soluble collagen was high than that in pepsin-soluble. 2. From both of salt-soluble and pepsin-soluble collagen, the bands of α_1-, α_2-chain, and the unknown band corresponding to molecular weight 68,000 were separated by SDS-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. The another band of β-chain was also separated from the salt-soluble collagen. 3. The recollected fractions under the peaks of SDS-agarose gel column chromatography were separated by SDS-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis into the bands of α_1-and α_2-chain around the area corresponding to the molecular weight of collagen.

      • 링크보의 탄성 및 비탄성 거동

        The eccentrically braced frame provides an efficient structural system for resisting lateral loads caused by wind of earthquake. Correctly designed eccentrically braced frames possess greater ductility and more versatile than concentrically braced frames. Moreover, they offer significant larger stiffness, which can result in better economic efficiency in comparison with moment resisting frames. The most important factor of the behavior of eccentrically braced frames is the link length. This paper illustrates elastic and inelastic behaviours of eccentrically braced frames. Structural analysis in this research shows that the lateral deflection of eccentrically braced frame is larger than concentrically braced frame because of bending deformation of link beam. But properly designed eccentrically braced frame(e 〈0.2) provides an efficient lateral stiffness because of the relatively small length of the link beam. Test results show that the shear yielding of shout links are preferred to the flexural yielding of long links because of shear force is constant along the length of the link, and inelastic shear strain are uniformly distributed over the length of the link.

      • 이온주입이 금속의 일함수에 미치는 영향(Ⅰ)

        이온 주입이 일함수 차이에 미치는 영향을 연구하기 위하여 낮은 에너지 이온 가속기, 전자총과 기타 일함수 차이를 측정하기 위한 장치를 설계, 제작하였다. 제작된 이온 가속기의 집속 특성은 이론적인 값과 일치하였다. 즉, 집속 렌즈의 확대율이 이론값은 2.0인데 비하여 1.2로 상당히 작은 값이었다. 또한 집속 렌즈의 전압 V_L과 추출 전압 V_e에 의한 집속 특성 역시 이론값과 매우 잘 일치하였다 . 제작된 장치를 사용하여 다결정 Cu와 Ni의 일함수 차이를 측정한 결과 0.45eV임을 알았다. 그리고 전자선을 이용하여 억제 전위차로 일함수를 측정할때 입사 전자의 반사율을 고려해야 함을 알았다. Low energy ion accelerator, electron gun, and apparatus for measuring work function difference are designed and constructed in order to study the effect of ion implantation on the work function. The focusing properties of accelerator is coincided with theoretical results; the magnification of Einzel lens is found to be 1.2, while theoretical value is 2.0, and the focal properties as a function of V_L/V_e are in good agreement with theory. Using these systems, the work function difference between polycrystalline Cu and Ni is found to be 0.45eV, and the experimental retarding potential plots indicate close agreement with the theoretical values modified by electron reflection.

      • α₂-아드레날린 효능약인 UK 14,304의 신장기능에 미치는 영향

        The effects of UK 14,304, an α₂-adrenergic agonist, on renal function were investigated in dogs. UK 14,304, when given intravenousely(15.0 μg/kg, 50μg/kg), produced the increase of urine flow accompanied with the marked augmentation of free water clearance(C_(H₂O)) and reabsorption rates of sodium in renal tubules (R_(Na)), and the remarkable decrease of osmolar clearnance (C_(osm)) and amounts of sodium excreted in urine (E_(Na)). UK 14,304 given into a renal artery(1.5 μg/kg, 5.0μg/kg) elicited the increase of urine flow with the augmentation of C_(H₂O) in both kidney. UK 14,304. when administered into carotid artery(3.0μg/kg. 10.0μg/kg). exhibited the same aspect as shown in intravenous UK 14,304 at smaller dose than the intravenous dose. Diuretic action of intravenous UK 14,304 were produced together with increase of C_(H₂O) in situation of water diuresis too. changes of renal function in this state were the increase of C_(osm), E_(Na), and E_(K) (excreted amounts of potassium in urine), and the decrease of R_(Na) and R_(K), these were different appearances from situation of saline diuresis. Diuretic action of intravenous UK 14,304 were blocked completely by post or pretreatment of yohim-bine. α-adrenergic block agent. And inhibited by pretreatment of vasopressin. antidiuretic hormone. Above results suggest that UK 14,304 produces the diuretic action by the inhibition of vasopressin secretion and suppression of electrolytes reabsorption of electrolytes in renal tubules mediated with central α₂-adrenoceptor in dog.
