        □By far the most efficient technique of fractal based algorithms for artificial terrain generation is recursive midpoint subdivision. Existing polyhedral data structures implementing the technique are inadequate for maintenance of consistency as polygons are subdivided. A new data structure is presented which provides for the efficient use and consistent storage of spatial data. The data structure is applicable to polygons of any order and allows neighboring polygons of different order to be stored and subdivided.

      • Organoclay/TLCP nanocomposites의 제조 및 특성

        The organoclay/TLCP(Thermotropic Liquid Crystal Polymer) nanocomposites were prepared by in-situ polymerization. To discuss the effect of the organoclay contents on the polymer properties, we prepared organoclay/TLCP nanocomposites of 2, 5, 10wt% in organoclay contents. The organoclay/TLCP nanocomposites were characterized by scanning electron microscopy(SEM), X-ray diffractometer(XRD), dynamic mechanical thermal analysis (DMTA), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), and thermogravimetric analyzer(TGA). The bending moduli of organoclay/TLCP nanocomposites were improved with increasing organoclay contents. The TLCPs and organoclay/TLCP nanocomposites showed the nematic phase above those melting ternperature(T_(m)). The TLCPs and organo clay/TLCP nanocomposite seem to act as plasticizers and nucleating agents in the matrix polymers.

        구강 악안면 연조직 결손 재건을 위한 진피 지방 이식의 이용 : 증례보고

        Soft tissue defects in oral & maxillofacial region caused by tumor resection, trauma, congenital deformities have been treated in autogenous soft tissue flap, allogenic material, free dermal graft, fascia graft. Of these methods, autogenous dermis graft had initially been applied in hernia treatment at the beginning of nineteenth century and have been applied in soft tissue augmentation coverage of vital structure, dead space removal and reconstruction of fascia. A fat graft is used in reconstruction of orbit at the enucleation, restoration of facial contours, etc. In this case, patient with chin soft tissue defect in traffic accident was treated in autogenous dermis-fat graft from patient's abdominal and gluteal region. Chin defect was recons ructed favorably. There was no severe atrophy of grafted area 12 months postoperatively. We will report the result that is favorable esthetically with literature review.

      • EVA Nanocomposites 제조 및 특성연구

        Ethylene vinyl acetate random copolymer(EVA)/layered-silicate nanocomposites were prepared by melt or solution blending. The TGA thermograms of EVA/ layered-silicate nanocomposites showed an improved thermal stability as the layered-silicate contents increased. The decomposition temperature of nanocomposite was increased around 10℃ compared with pure EVA at 50% weight loss under N_2 atmosphere And in an air atmosphere, temperature difference in 50% wt loss between the nanocomposlte and the virgin EVA was around 100℃ The moduli in their thermomechanical module of nanocomposite are higher than pure EVA. Interlayered spacings of nanosilicates were slightly increased when prepared by melt blending. On the other hand, they were remarkably increased when prepared by solution blending. It may be explained that EVA moiety of the copolymer showed partial adsorption behavior on the surface layer of the silicate. It also revealed that the adsorption is more effective in the solution blending than in the melt blending.

      • WIPI 플랫폼에서 모바일 인터넷 컨텐츠 프로그램 구현

        본 논문은 각 이동통신사의 독자적인 플랫폼에 종속적인 컨텐츠 개발을 탈피하여 단말기와 컨텐츠 개발에 독립적이고 개방된 한국형 모바일 표준 플랫폼인 WIPI를 이용하여 모바일과 PC간의 전자 메일 및 채팅 프로그램을 구현하였다. 기존의 전자 메일 및 채팅 프로그램은 주로 PC와 PC 간에 이루어졌어나 본 논문에서는 이동성을 특징으로 하는 모바일을 통해 PC, 모바일과 모바일 간의 전자 메일 및 채팅이 가능하도록 구현하였으므로 향후 다양한 모바일 컨텐츠 개발에 기여되리라 본다. In this paper, I implemented an e-mail and chat program (client) for communication between mobile devices and PCs based on WIPI, a South Korea's open wireless platform form developing device and content independent software to break from the way of developing contents that is dependent on different wireless platforms to each mobile communications company. While traditional e-mail and chat programs are written for PC-to-PC communication, I develop them for mobile-to-PC and mobile-to-mobile communications, and I expect to see various mobile contents in the future.

      • 위피(WIPI) 플랫폼에 의한 모바일 컨텐츠 (DQQ) 개발

        본 논문에서는 무선 인터넷 플랫폼에 관해 고찰하고 한국형 무선 인터넷 플랫폼 표준인 WIPI를 이용하여 DQQ(Daegu University Quiz Quiz)라는 모바일 게임 컨텐츠를 제작하였다. 이 DQQ는 Java 언어 기반의 플랫폼에서 Jlet을 사용하여 제작 되었고, 학교 실제 지도와 실제 건물 사진을 제공하여 사실성을 높였다. 또한 네트워크 게임 기능을 구현하여 커뮤니케이션을 하면서 서로간 게임을 할 수 있다. 한편 이 DQQ는 신입생, 재학생 및 편입생을 대상으로 학교 소개 및 학사 시스템 사용법을 퀴즈라는 형태로 제작하여 누구라도 쉽게 접근할 수 있도록 하였고 다소 까다로운 학사 시스템 사용법을 쉽게 습득하도록 제작되었다. This paper presents the review of mobile internet platform and a mobile game contents named DQQ using WIPI. I present this DQQ system that used Jlet in the platform of Java language foundation. The school actual map and actual building pictures came to make the real scene provide. This DQQ used the form of quizes to show a school introduction and an university graduate system usage. So the students, freshmen and enrolled students can use this DQQ more easily.

      • 다중신경회로망과 HCNN를 결합한 한국어 숫자음 인식

        In thia paper , we have approached to the recognition system from assuming that two systems, time-frequency and nonlinear-dynamic pattem have different recognition range respectively. We showed that the performance of the Model connected MLP and HCNN is better than that of HMM itself. We examined HMM and HCNN under the similar conditions. The results turn out that MLP and HMM itself only show us a little change. So, we can conclude that the sysytem connected MLP and HCNN is more suit-able for speaker independent speech recognition tasks.

      • 韓國의 氣象災害 地域區分 : 實態分析과 地理的 分布를 中心으로

        In this paper the author investigated the actual conditions and geographical distribution of meteorological disasters which were occured during the past from 1904 to 1970 in Korea. The results are summarized as follows: (1) The degree of meteorological disasters in Korea ranks high level in the world. Also it seems that national development was impeding remarkably by these disasters. (2) It was found that the depth of demage, the frequeucy of occurence, the contents of various kinds of meteorological disasters vary in different localities. (see Table and Figure) (3) As a result, Korea is divided into six meteorological disaster regions according to the frequency of occurence by various kinds of meteorological disasters. 1) North-West Coast Disaster Region. (Seoul, Incheon) 2) North-East Coast Disaster Region. (Daegu, Jeonju, Gwangju, Chupungryeong) 4) Southern Coast Disaster Region. (Busan, Yeosu, Mogpo, Jeju) 5) South-East Coast Disaster Region. (Pohang, Ulsan) 6) Ulreungdo Disaster Region. (Ulreungdo)

      • 大邱市 冬秀氣溫의 分布에 關한 硏究

        This is a succession to the study on the distribution of summer air temperature, as referred to in the introduction. And this study equals the former one in the methodology, but is concerned with the case in winter season the horizontal distribution of winter air temperature in Daegu city. The results of this study can be summarized as follows; 1. The horizontal distribution of winter air temperature says that (1) In the early morning, the air temperature as a whole has larger (-)deviation with the distance from the urban center, excepting the northern industrial complex and the southern denser residantial area. Their air temperature is highest, particularily in the coldest month, January. This may result from the artificial heat radiation. (2) In afternoon, the average temperature both in every month and all three months (winter season) is marked by being still higher in route R 3. In addition, it has more dominant (-)deviation as the distance from the urban center increases. This also results from the increase of artificial heat radiation, which is caused by that increase of the density of human activities and of traffic in the study area through this period. (3) In the distribution of air temperature by night is found that the (-)deviation showes the greatest this time through the whole day. (4) Overall, average daily air temperature demonstrates the typical phenomenon of the distribution of urban air temperature. 2. In the cases of daily air temperature (1) The temperature range in horizontal dimention by every measurement time is greatest during the night. and that of early morning time and afternoon time is about the same eath other. (2) Daily range of air temperature increases as the distance does from urban center to suburbs, which supports the increasing mildness phenomenon in urban air temperature.
