        In this paper, we propose a selective pyramid searching algorithm for pedestrian detection in real environments. We generate a pedestrian height map using static camera constraints. Given a pixel location with the pedestrian height map, we can select the pyramid used for searching. With the selective pyramid searching method, the sliding window searching can be done efficiently with a proper scale. In our experiments, It is shown that the proposed algorithm reduces computational time greatly without loss of precision.

        A Collaborative Study to Establish the Second Korean National Reference Standard for Snake Venom

        In 2015, a candidate for the second national reference standard (NRS) of Gloydius snake venom was produced to replace the first NRS of Gloydius snake venom. In the present study, the potencies of the candidate were determined by a collaborative study, and the qualification of the candidate was estimated. The potencies of the candidate were determined by measuring the murine lethal titers and lapine hemorrhagic titers of venom against the regional working reference standard (RWRS) for antivenom using the methods described in the previous report for the first NRS of Gloydius snake venom. Three Korean facilities contributed data from a total of 30 independent assays. Subsequently, two foreign national control research laboratories contributed to this collaborative study. The results were calculated using the Reed-Muench method for lethality and determined using a mixed-effects model for hemorrhage. The general common potencies of the lethal and hemorrhagic titers were obtained from the results of the 30 tests performed at three Korean facilities. The results are expressed in micrograms for 1 test dose (TD) with a 95% confidence interval as follows: a lethal titer of 90.13 ㎍/TD (95% confidence interval = 87.39~92.86 ㎍) and a hemorrhagic titer of 10.80 ㎍/TD (95% confidence interval = 10.46~11.14 ㎍). In addition, the candidate preparation showed good quality evaluation according to the results of the quality estimation of the candidate and is judged to be suitable to serve as the Korean NRS for snake venom. In conclusion, the second NRS of Gloydius snake venom was established in this study and will be used for national quality control, including a national lot release test of Korean antivenom products.

        In this paper we propose a system for multiple object detection and tracking with multiple cameras. The system follows the tracking-by-detection framework and is designed to meet the performance required in actual environment such as smart class. Detection results are obtained by ACF(Aggregated Channel Features) detector and tracklets are generated based on these detection proposals. Tracklets are associated by the proposed online algorithm based on Multiple Hypothesis Tracking (MHT). Experiments show a comparable performance with the state-of-the-art batch algorithms on PETS2009 dataset and validate the applicability to real environment using the Smart-class dataset

        사회적 배제자들에게 쾌락재는 기부를 자극시키는가?

        본 연구는 사회적 배제(배제 vs. 통제)조건에서 제품유형이 준거기준으로 제시되었을 때 기부의도에 미치는 영향을 살펴봄과 동시에 수혜자의 표정(슬픔 vs. 기쁨)에 따라 기부자의 기부설득에 미치는 태도가 어떻게 달라지는지를 파악하였다. 즉 기존 선행연구에 따르면, 쾌락적 제품을 구매한 기부자들의 부의도가 높았으며, 수혜자의 슬픈 표정이 기부자들의 동정심을 자극하여 기부행동을 높여주었다. 하지만 아직까지 사회적 배제상황에서의 제품유형과 수혜자의 표정에 따른 조절효과를 살펴본 연구가 없으며 특히 본 연구에서는 제품유형을 준거기준으로 제시하여 선택맥락효과를 확인하고자 하였다. 하지만 연구결과 사회적 배제 조건에서 제품유형은 기부의도에 영향을 미치지 않았고, 수혜자의 표정 역시 조절변수로서 영향을 미치지 않았다. 이러한 조절상황을 보다 심도 있게 분석하기 위해 제품이 실용적인지 쾌락적인지, 또한 수혜자의 표정이 슬픈 표정인지 기쁜 표정인지에 따라 기부의도가 어떻게 달라지는지를 검증하기 위해 삼원상호작용 효과를 살펴보았다. 그 결과, 흥미롭게도 제품유형과 수혜자의 표정이 동시에 기부의도에 영향을 미치고 있었는데 특히 사회적 배제 집단에게서 그 차이가 뚜렷이 나타났다. 구체적으로, 사회적배제집단의 기부자들이 실용적 제품을 준거기준으로 제시받았을 때는 수혜자가 웃는 표정을 보일 때 기부의도가 높아진 반면, 쾌락적 제품을 먼저 접한 기부자들의 경우는 슬픈 표정의 수혜자에게 높은 기부의도 성향을 보이는 것으로 나타났다. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of product type on the donation intention when the product type is presented on the basis of social exclusion(exclusion vs control) and to examine the attitude toward donor`s donation persuasion according to the recipient`s facial expression(sadness vs happy). According to the previous study, donors who purchased hedonic products had a high degree of donation intention, and the sad facial expression of the recipient stimulated the sympathy of the donors and increased donation. However, there is no study on the effect of product type and recipient"s facial expression on social exclusion. Especially in this study we tried to confirm the effect of selective context by presenting product type as reference. But, in the social exclusion condition, the product type did not affect the donation intention and the recipient"s expression did not affect as a moderating variable either. However, in order to analyze the moderating situation more deeply, we examined the effect of 3-way interaction to test whether the product is utilitarian or hedonic and whether the recipient`s facial expression is sad or happy. As a result, interestingly, the product type and the recipient`s expression influenced donation intention at the same time, especially in the social exclusion group.         보육교사가 경험하는 코로나-19 팬데믹(Pandemic) 상황의 보육현장 탐구

        목적 본 연구는 코로나-19 팬데믹(Pandemic) 상황에 있는 보육현장을 보육교사의 경험을 통해 구체적으로 탐구하였다. 이를 통해 포스트코로나 시대에 보육현장에 필요한 정책마련에 기초자료를 제공하고, 궁극적으로는 코로나-19로부터 영·유아들을 안전하게 보호하여 건전한 발달을 이룰 수 있도록 하는 구체적인 방법을 모색하는데 시사점을 제공하고자 한다. 방법 이와 같은 연구목적에 부합하기 위해 코로나-19 상황 속에서 담임교사로 재직하고 있는 경력 6년 이상의 현직 보육교사 6인을 대상으로 심층면담을 통해 자료를 수집하고, Colaizzi(1978)가 제시한 질적 분석방법에 따라 분석하여 코로나-19 상황 속의 보육환경의 본질을 구체적으로 탐색하였다. 결과 그 결과 코로나-19로 인해 보육현장은 많은 변화를 맞이하고 있었다. 첫째, 보육교사들은 영유아의 발달과 보육현장을 고려하지 않은 코로나-19 정책으로 인해 어려움을 격고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 코로나-19로 인해 보육교사들은 증가된 업무와 정서적인 우울, 불안 등과 같은 갈등 속에서 어려움을 겪고 있었다. 결론 코로나-19가 장기화 되는 상황 속에서 변화된 보육환경을 이해하고, 보육교사들이 경험하고 있는 실제적인 어려움을 지원할 수 있는 구체적인 제도와 방안이 필요하다. Objectives This study specifically explored the childcare site in the COVID-19 Pandemic situation through the experience of a childcare teacher. Through this, it aims to provide basic data for preparing policies necessary for childcare sites in the post-COVID-19 era, and ultimately provide implications for finding specific ways to safely protect infants and toddlers from COVID-19 so that sound development can be achieved. Methods In order to meet this research purpose, data were collected through in-depth interviews with six incumbent childcare teachers with more than six years of experience as homeroom teachers in the COVID-19 situation, and analyzed according to the qualitative analysis method suggested by Colaizzi(1978) to explore the nature of the childcare environment in the COVID-19 situation in detail. Results As a result, the childcare site was facing many changes due to COVID-19. First, it was found that childcare teachers are struggling due to the COVID-19 policy that does not take into account the development of infants and toddlers and the childcare site. Second, due to COVID-19, childcare teachers were struggling with increased work, emotional depression, and anxiety. Conclusions Specific systems and measures are needed to understand the changed childcare environment in the prolonged COVID-19 situation and to support the practical difficulties experienced by childcare teachers.

      • Unified optimization framework for localization and tracking of multiple targets with multiple cameras

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>We present a method for three-dimensional (3D) localization and tracking of multiple targets by using images from multiple cameras with overlapping views. Most recent methods make an assumption on a flat ground plane and determine the 3D grounding location of each target based on this assumption. In contrast, we aim to find 3D locations of multiple head trajectories, regardless of their standing or sitting status without the flat ground plane assumption. For this purpose, we suggest a unified optimization formulation, which solves two coupled problems simultaneously: the spatio-temporal data association problem and the 3D trajectory estimation problem. To handle a large solution space, we develop an efficient optimization scheme that alternates the solving procedures between two coupled problems with a reasonable computational load. In the unified optimization formulation, we design a new cost function that describes 3D physical properties of each target.       • 시공간 연관을 기반으로 한 다중 카메라 상에서의 실시간 다중 객체 추적

        In this paper we propose a multiple object tracking system with multiple cameras. We use head detector based on ACF(Aggregated Channel Features) detector. The tracking algorithm follows the tracking-by-detection framework using the obtained head detection results. We combined detections for same person in different views as clique (spatial association) using 3D distance. Then generated cliques are connected (temporal association) by proposed probabilistic model to make trajectories. At each frame, trajectories are updated by bipartite matching with the probability so that the algorithm operates in online manner. Experimental results in PETS2009 and Smart-class datasets show competitive performance to the state-of-the-art batch algorithms with much lower computational load.
