        부영양화 호소에서의 우점종 조류 제거를 위한 DAF 기술

        Major species of Lake Deganuma has varied depending on the season. Namely, there are Micractnium pusillum, chlorella., Scenedesmus sp. shown up in spring season, Microcystis aentginosa, Microcystis wesenbergii, Anabena spiroides in summer and autumn season and Cyclostephanos invisitatus, Diatoma in winter season in the Lake. As the number of plankton increased, the zeta potential on their surface of them decreased. For this reason, they were dispersed in the lake though the population increased. Zeta potential of M. aeruginosa showed -20mV when their outer size got smaller. As for coagulant dosing in DAF, large amount of coagulant was effective to get lots of sludge during water treatment.

        식물플랑크톤주변 표면막의 제타전위와 DAF기술

        The DAF has been studied in a theoretical principle and a practical technology, especially in a purification held of the water quality in fine solid particles as inorganic matter. However, DAF technology has never been developed for the soft particles as phytoplankton in a eutrophicated practical lake, which is utilized for the reservoir in stream source area, because the cell surface is complexly made from/with inarticulate compositions. The research in red cell and article cell as vital cell is only furthered in a field of electrochemical characteristics. In this paper, electrochemical characteristics on the surface of phytoplankton cell is theoretically and experimentally considered for the development of DAF technology as a pre-treatment technology for the water quality improvement of eutrophicated lakes. As results, it became clear that the value of zeta potential is in proportion to the diameter of phytoplankton cell. Blue algae cells and diatoms cells have optimum pH values for the coagulation; namely the optimum value in the blue algae has higher pH than diatoms. The softness parameter Instead of zeta potential on the cell surface is most important parameter for the DAF technology.

      • Gimbals Control with the Camera for Aerial Photography in RC Helicopter

        In this paper, PD parameters tuning method for controlling a Gimbals device is proposed. The controlled object the gimbals device is the hanging device, and it is used to keep the camera to be the horizontal position. For example this technique has been paid to attention in the aerial photography by the RC helicopter.However, it is thought as problem that the camera vibrates and the image shakes in the aerial photography by the RC helicopter. Therefore, the position of the camera is first controlled so that the camera may always move to the horizontal position in the ground. As the control technique, the system parameters are estimated by the least squares method. Next, the PD parameters are computed by the generalized minimum variance control law, and control the gimbals device by the gimbals control using the PD control technique. In this paper, the design scheme of the control system is discussed, and the behavior of the control system is examined in the experimental equipment.

        Fundamental Structure in Simultaneous Removal for Phytoplankton and Nutrient Salt in Lakes

        The water quality in eutrophic lakes is affected by serious problems, such as abnormal increasing of Cyanobacteria. The purpose of this study was to investigate the possibility of a modified flotation system using a hybrid technique formed by chemical compounds and an electrostatic bridge. Therefore, experiments using the hybrid technique were performed to measure the zeta potential value on the phytoplankton surface and the removal efficiencies of phytoplankton, ammonia nitrogen, nitrate nitrogen and phosphoric acid. The results were as follows: Firstly, the zeta potential of M.aeruginosa was observed to approach charge neutralization due to adhesion of magnesium hydroxide precipitate on the phytoplankton surface in the pH range 10.5 to 11. Secondly, the concentration of chlorophyll-a decreased from about 150 to 20 μg/L, with a maximum removal efficiency of 84% due to coagulation with pH values higher than 10. Thirdly, the NH₄-N concentration was observed to decrease from 0.62 to 0.54 mg-N/L (13%), and the PO₄-P concentration, which is a limiting factor to the formation of algae blooms, decreased from 0.27 to 0.02 mg-P/L (92%). These findings suggest that the modified flotation system can be applied for the purification of the raw water of numerous lakes containing high phytoplankton populations and elevated pH.
