Karamzin Island (the Peter the Great Bay, the East Sea) is the only nesting point of streaked shearwaters in Russian Federation. To understand and determine distribution patterns of streaked shearwaters along the Eastern Sea waters during nesting period, the Trackers WT-300 were set to 10 adult birds. Over the observation period (from 5 July 2016 to 7 January 2017), 4812 locations were registered. Analysis of data obtained revealed that main feeding points of colony studied were situated in the Peter the Great Bay along 50 m isobath and, to the less extension, near the eastern coast of Korean Peninsula. It was determined that streaked shearwaters most frequently visited waters with circular flows or zones of junctions of multidirectional flow. It was also shown that these zones had high concentrations of zooplankton.

Eight nestlings of Grey Heron were captured in the Peter the Great Bay, Primorskii Territory, Russia and were deployed with trackers supporting GPS and Mobile Phone in May 2017. In total, 35,166 records on the locations of the birds were obtained over the study period until November 18, 2019. The tracking data were available for seven birds in autumn 2017, three birds from spring to autumn 2018, two birds in spring 2019, and only a single bird in autumn 2019. We could trace the migration routes accurately and locate the places for feeding and resting of the Grey Heron during the post-nesting period and seasonal migrations. The direction of the migration of the Grey Herons in autumn was southwest, and it was northeast in spring without exception. With tracking data, we found that there were two main patterns of migration of the Grey Heron: fast and delayed migration. The Grey Heron has been frequently reported to be affected by highly pathogenic avian influenza, and thus, a possibility that infected Grey Heron delivers avian influenza virus in East Asia had been discussed.

We present experimental and theoretical study of the fiber-matrix composites based on polymethyl methacrylate(PMMA) prosthetic material. Hemp fibers of different lengths and concentrations were added to PMMA. In total, ten groupsof composite samples were prepared. Flexural strength test was performed for each sample. We found that the addition ofhemp fibber significantly change the mechanical properties of pristine PMMA. The nature of the interaction between PMMAand hemp fiber were further investigated with scanning electronic microscopy, infrared spectrometry and density functionaltheory. This interaction were described atomistic level in terms of quantum descriptors of reactivity, such as chemicalpotential, electronegativity, chemical hardness and softness, electrophilicity, electrodonating and electroaccepting powers andelectrons transfer. We observed the formations of strong hydrogen bonds between the matrix and fibers, which explain theobserved improvement of mechanical properties.
