As the integrated circuit device shrinks to the smaller dimension, the chemical mechanical polishing (CMP) process was required for the global planarization of inter-metal dielectric (IMD) layer with free-defect. However, as the IMD layer gets thinner, micro-scratches are becoming as major defects. Micro-scratches are generated by agglomerated slurry, solidified and attached slurry in pipe line of slurry supply system. It is well known that the presence of hard and larger size particles in the CMP slurries increases the defect density and surface roughness of the polished wafers. In this paper, we have studied aging effect the of CMP slurry as a function of particle size. We prepared and compared the self-developed silica slurry by adding of abrasives before and after annealing. As our preliminary experiment results, we could be obtained the relatively stable slurry characteristics comparable to original silica slurry in the slurry aging effect.

Chemical mechanical polishing (CMP) process has been widely used to planarize dielectric layers, which can be applied to the integrated circuits for sub-micron technology. Despite the increased use of CMP process, it is difficult to accomplish the global planarization of in the defect-free inter-level dielectrics (ILD). We investigated the performance of WO₃ CMP used silica slurry, ceria slurry, tungsten slurry. In this paper, the effects of addition oxidizer on the WO₃ CMP characteristics were investigated to obtain the higher removal rate and lower non-uniformity.

In this study, endophytic fungi were isolated from the leaves of evergreen woody plants in Hansando Island in South Korea. The fungal isolates were identified based on morphological characteristics and phylogenetic analysis of the DNA sequences of the internal transcribed spacer and the large subunit regions of rDNA. It was confirmed that two endophytic fungal species, Muyocopron lithocarpi and Didymocyrtis cladoniicola, isolated in this study have not previously been reported in South Korea.
Mycorrhizal Formation of Korean Truffle Species, Tuber koreanum with Oak Trees
Ju-Hui Gwon,Ahn-Heum Eom 한국균학회 2023 韓國菌學會誌 Vol.51 No.2
In this study, we examined the ectomycorrhiza (ECM) formed by a species of the genus Tuber , T. koreanum , with two indigenous Korean oak species, Quercus acutissima and Q. dentata . T. koreanum showed a high colonization rate for both oak species, with a higher mean colonization rate observed for Q. acutissima . The mycorrhizal characteristics of T. koreanum were described, revealing distinct morphological and anatomical differences between the ECM formed with the two host plants. This study is significant because it is the first to elucidate ECM formations of T. koreanum in indigenous oak trees. However, further studies are required to differentiate the ECM associations formed by T. koreanum from those of other Tuber species.
Effect of Temperature, pH, and Media on the Mycelial Growth of Tuber koreanum
Ju-Hui Gwon,박혁,Ahn-Heum Eom 한국균학회 2022 Mycobiology Vol.50 No.4
Members of the genus Tuber are ectomycorrhizal fungi; this genus includes more than 180 species worldwide. In the present study, the optimal pH, temperature, and medium suitable for the mycelial growth of the Korean truffle, Tuber koreanum, were determined. Mycelium of T. koreanum, isolated from fruiting bodies collected in Korea, was used to investigate the effects of these environmental factors. The results showed that malt extract agar and potato dextrose agar were the most suitable for the mycelial growth of T. koreanum when cultured at a pH of 6.0 at 25 C for 30 days.

The water extract of the aerial parts of Orostachys japonicus A. Berger showed the inhibitory activity against HIV-1 protease. From the same parts of O. japonicus, 4-hydroxybenzoic acid, 3,4-dihydroxybenzoic acid, gallic acid and methyl gallate, together with flavonoids, kaempferol, quercetin, kaempferol 3-O-β-D-glucoside, kaempferol 3-O-β-D-galactoside and quercetin 3-O-β-D-glucoside were isolated and characterized by spectral data.
Mycorrhization of Quercus spp. with Tuber huidongense and T. himalayense Collected in Korea
Gwon Ju-Hui,Park Hyeok,Eom Ahn-Heum 한국균학회 2022 Mycobiology Vol.50 No.2
Fungi of the genus Tuber are ectomycorrhizal fungi that form a symbiotic relationship mainly with oak and hazel trees. Tuber spp. exhibit a highly selective host plant preference; thus, for cultivation purposes it is important to select an appropriate host plant for successful mycorrhization. In addition, as mycorrhizal characteristics differ according to Tuber spp., it is necessary to understand the differences in mycorrhizae according to the fungal species. Tuber huidongense and Tuber himalayense were recently discovered in Korea; therefore, we used spore suspensions from these two species to inoculate two species of oak trees, Quercus acutissima and Quercus dentata, to compare colonization rates and morphologies of the mycorrhizae. The colonization rates demonstrated that the different Tuber spp. favored different host plant species. In addition, unique morphological and anatomical characteristics were observed for T. huidongense and T. himalayense depending on the host species. These findings can lead to new economically important agricultural activities related to truffle cultivation in Korea.
미야자키 하야오(宮崎駿)의 『이웃의 도토로』(となりのトトロ)에 나타난 생태의식
권해주 ( Gwon Hae-ju ) 한국일본어교육학회 2021 日本語敎育 Vol.- No.96
This study deals with Hayao Miyazaki‘s ecological consciousness that is indicated in the film “My Neighbour TOTORO(1988)”. The background of this movie is the middle golden days of the 1950s in terms of times and it is the rural district of Tokurozawa of Tokyo's suburbs in the spatial situation. So far the movie director usually has made stateless movies, but this movie is the first that reflects the character of “Japanese movie”. His message transfers from the concept of “human beings and nature” to that of “nature and ecology”. Firstly, Totoro, the Japanese shrine of Inari, Ksitigarbha monk and folk faiths are placed in the whole film. Secondly, the human being of Mei, the inanimate being of Susuwatari and the camphor tree could not co-exist at first. Nonetheless, man gives the umbrella to nature and gami(gods), In return man receives tree fruits and then they can co-exist together. Thirdly, the film shows the animistic view of ecology that all things have spirits. Fourthy, it has the ecological consciousness of the symbiotic community. Fifthly, it indicates that human beings, nature and gami(gods) have ecological consciousness in the forest of Scamory,
