Determination of indium in liquid crystal displays by flame atomic absorption spectrometry
Jozef Uhrovcík,Juraj Lesný 한국공업화학회 2015 Journal of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry Vol.21 No.1
The determination of In(III) in indium tin oxide (ITO) targets sample by flame atomic absorptionspectrometry is reported. The relevant sample was at first decomposed by means of aqua regia digestiontechnique and then analysed. The conventional air-acetylene flamewas used for direct analysis. Itwas notrequired to use matrix-matched standard or technique of standard additions in the process of calibrationand measurement. The Beer’s law obeyed the concentration range up to 10mg L 1. Limit of detection(3s criterion) reached the value of 0.4mgL 1. Sensitivity of determination expressed as characteristicconcentrationwas equal to 0.36mgL 1. Repeatability of analysis (n = 5) did not exceed 1% for analyticaldetermination of sample in question. The method was successfully applied to In(III) leachable contentmeasurement in the ITO targets sample and the result is in very good agreement with this independentlyobtained by reference method – inductively coupled plasma with atomic emission spectrometry.
