The Effect of a Sympathectomy Using Radiofrequency Thermocoagulation in Patients with Acute Herpes Zoster - A case report - Kyung Joon Lim. M.D., and Sang Yu Wei. M.D. Department of Anesthesiology, College of Medicine, Chosun University, Gwangju, korea Herpes zoster represents the reactivation of latent varicella-zoster virus located in the dorsal root ganglion. The virus multiplies and migrates to the skin surface producing a characteristic, usually painful, pustular eruption. Severe pain during the acute phase of herpes zoster has been associated with a higher risk of developing postherpetic neuralgia. Sympathetic ganglion blocks have been used for patients in the acute phase of herpes zoster to alleviate pain and prevent postherpetic neuralgia. We experienced 2 cases of patients with acute herpes zoster in which one of them presented with pain localized to the dermatomal distribution of L_2-3, the other T_3. The authors report the results achieved in treatment of the herpes zoster patients, using radiofrequency thermocoagulation of the sympathetic ganglion. (Korean J Anesthesiol 2001; 41: 260~264)

In this paper, firstly, we look into the current states of domestic logistics related systems including packaging, loading/unloading, transportation, pallet, container, storage equipments and information systems. From the analyzed results, we present individual standardization issues and schemes for each part of logistics relaxed system.

The purpose of this article is to establish some principles in helping students study in order to enhance the ability of solving problems reasonably by using fundamental mathematical skills, and to bring forth the improvement of mathematics education by using the above mentioned principles. In this work we investigate the following subjects ; (1) Fundamental concepts and strategies of teaching students for mathematics problem solving achieved in nineteen eighties in and out of Korea. (2) Current status of problem solving ability of middle and highschool students and teachers. (3) We first made 「motivation-advice cards」 about the problem solving strategy according to the classification of problem solving thought format, and then we used them in highschool classes. We test the result. We obtained the following conclusions ; (1) The style of test problems has to be changed from multiple choice form which is widely used in various evaluation examinations to writing style. (2) Studies of teaching method to help students extend their creativity, and making good problems and invention of instructive devices are required. (3) After making the students aware of the importance of problem solving strategy and of the way how to use it, we have to lead the students to acquire the habit of using them.

In this paper, an integrated-automated manufacturing system called direct-input-output manufacturing system(DIOMS) is described. We only consider the operational aspect for DIOMS. Once DIOMS is designed appropriately, the system efficiency depends on the method of operation applied These operation problems include dispatching rules of storage/retrieval(S/R) machine, input sequence control methods and storage policies. In this paper, these control method are researched and under the given system conditions, DIOMS is modeled and simulated as to developed operational policies. For the performance characteristics, mean flow time and throughput are adopted. For each performance measure, an optimal operating policy and condition are determined.
능동 궤환을 이용한 0.5 ~ 3 GHz 광대역 구동 증폭기 설계 및 제작

A wideband SiGe HBT driver amplifier has been developed for multimode mobile terminal applications. The amplifier has been designed with an active feedback scheme to have good VSWRs and gain flatness in 0.5 ~ 3 GHz band. The active feedback circuit acts as a shunt feedback circuit, which uses the collector-emitter conductance controlled by the base-emitter voltage. The amplifier has been fabricated on FR-4 board with multichip components. At an optimal tuning condition, the amplifier exhibits a power gain of 13 dB, 10-dB input/output return loss, and 10-dBm 1-dB compression output power in 0.5 ~ 3 GHz band. The ACPR characteristics of the amplifier are -52.1 dBc at cellular band (@ 1.98 MHz offset bands) and -48.3 dBc at IMT-2000 band (@ 5 MHz offset bands).
