        오대산국립공원 소금강 계곡부 식물군집구조

        This study was carried out to the structure of plant community, and ecological succession sere of forest ecosystem in Soguemgang Valley, Odaesan National Park. Fifteenth plots(size is 20m×20m) were set up and the results analyzed by DCA which is one of the ordination technique showed that the plant communities were divided into seven groups which area community I(Quercus variabilis-Pinus densiflora community), Ⅱ(Pinus densiflora community), Ⅲ(Pinus densiflora-Quercus variabilis community), Ⅳ(Pinus densiflora-Quercus serrata community), Ⅴ(Quercus serrata community), Ⅵ (Pinus densiflora-Deciduous broad-leaved plant community), Ⅶ(Cornus controversa-Carpinus laxiflora community). Shannon diversity index per 400㎡ was to 0.7777 to 1.1440 and the age of Pinus densiflora 86 years old, Quercus variabilis was ranged from 66 to 87 years old, Quercus serrata was ranged from 51 to 62 years old, Carpinus laxiflora was 94 years old. In 2013, the succession trend was predicted Pinus densiflora→Quercus variabilis, Quercus serrata →Cornus controversa, Carpinus laxiflora. The ecological sucession progress has declined power of the Pinus densiflora and the increased power of the deciduous broad-leaved and Quercus spp. in Soguemgang Valley, Odaesan National Park. Quercus serrata and Quercus variabilis communities that judged Pinus densiflora were progressing by direction of landform. The southern slopes vegetation were progressing for Quercus variabilis, the northern slopes vegetation were progressing for Quercus serrata. In flat Valley, mainly native species of Cornus controversa, Carpinus laxiflora are predicted ecological succession for deciduous broad-leaved tree community.

      • A Note on Collusion and the Form of Wage Schemes

        본 논문은 Park(1997)의 논문에서 사용된 임금구조를 일반적인 임금구조의 경우로 확장하여 부정부패를 방지하기 위한 조직의 최적구조를 살펴보고 있다. 본 논문에서 의하면 일반적인 임금구조와 Park(1997)에서 사용된 단순임금구조의 사이에는 대등결과(equivalence results)가 성립하고 있기 때문에 Park(1997)의 결과가 보다 일반적인 임금구조에서도 성립한다. The result of Park(1997) is extended for more general wage schemes such as fully or partially contingent wage schemes. We show that there exist equivalence results between wage schemes, so that the analysis can be done under simple wage schemes such as constant or bonus wage scheme. This equivalence results between wage schemes guarantees that the qualitative results do not change under more general wage schemes and complications of high dimensionality are not necessary.

      • Energy-Density Enhancement of Carbon-Nanotube-Based Supercapacitors with Redox Couple in Organic Electrolyte

        <P>We demonstrate for the first time that the incorporation of a redox-active molecule in an organic electrolyte can increase the cell voltage of a supercapacitor. The redox molecule also contributes to increasing the cell capacitance by a faradaic redox reaction, and therefore the energy density of the supercapacitor can be significantly increased. More specifically, the addition of redox-active decamethylferrocene in an organic electrolyte results in an approximately 27-fold increase in the energy density of carbon-nanotube-based supercapacitors. The resulting high energy density (36.8 Wh/kg) stems from the increased cell voltage (1.1 V → 2.1 V) and cell capacitance (8.3 F/g → 61.3 F/g) resulting from decamethylferrocene addition. We found that the voltage increase is associated with the potential of the redox species relative to the electrochemical stability window of the supporting electrolyte.       • Structure of Glycine on Ge(100): Ab Initio Study of Its Scanning Tunneling Microscopy Images

        <P>We have performed ab initio calculations to study the atomic and electronic structure of glycine on the Ge(100) surface. Previously, adsorption configurations of glycine on Ge(100) was studied using scanning tunneling microscopy (STM), density functional theory (DFT) calculations, and high-resolution core-level photoemission spectroscopy (HRCLPES), where the most probable structure observed in experiment was assigned to an “intrarow O–H dissociated and N dative bonded structure”. Using DFT calculations with van der Waals corrections, we find that the intrarow structure is less stable by about 0.23 eV than another structure called “interrow O–H dissociated and N dative bonded structure”, different from the previous study. Furthermore, comparing the energetics and theoretical STM images with the experimental images for glycine on Ge(100), we conclude that the structure observed in the STM experiment is clearly identified as the interrow O–H dissociated and N dative bonded structure.       • Embezzlement Disclosure Request and Information Asymmetry between Individual and Institutional Investors

        This paper investigates the effect of embezzlement disclosure requests as well as the information asymmetry among investors for the firms listed on the Korea Exchange. Firms that receive an embezzlement disclosure request exhibit an abnormal return of -8.41% on the request day, an abnormal return of -2.16% on the following day, and a cumulative abnormal return of about -20% leading to the disclosure request. This result confirms that embezzlement is materially bad news, causing substantial loss to the investors. Furthermore, individual investors show net purchases on firms prior to embezzlement disclosure requests while institutional investors show net sales, suggesting that the information asymmetry exists between individual and institutional investors prior to embezzlement disclosure requests causing individual investors trade with institutional investors at an informational disadvantage.

        도심대기오염추정을 위한 도로명주소좌표와 지번주소좌표의 비교 - 서울 영등포 지역의 사례연구 -

        2014년 한국의 주소체계는 지번기반에서 도로명기반으로 변화하였다. 그러나 주소좌표는 지번주소체계의 주소좌표를 그대로 사용하고 있다. 지번주소 좌표는 필지의 중심에 위치하는 반면, 도로명 주소 좌표는 도로로부터 일정한 거리에 위치한다. 따라서 도로명주소와 지번주소의 차이는 작지만 미시적 모델링에서는 결정적일수 있다. 두 좌표 그룹의 차이를 살펴보기 위해, 본 연구는 도시지역에서 대기오염 배출량을 추정하는 사례연구를 수행하였다. 도시에서는 필지의 크기가 작기 때문에 두 그룹의 자표간 거리도 작다. 따라서 미시적 대기오염 확산 모델인 CALINE4가 각 좌표에서의 대기오염 추정량의 차이를 살펴보기 위해 선정되었다. 입력자료로 서울시 영등포구의 도로들에 인접한 252개의 건물들을 대상으로 두 그룹의 좌표들이 수집되었다. 각 건물에 대해 두 개의 서로 다른 주소 좌표에 대해 대기오염량이 추정되었고, t 검증과 F 검증을 사용하여 그 값들의 통계적 차이를 검증하였다. 통계적 검증 결과 각 건물의 두 주소에 대해 추정된 대기오염량이 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있음을 보였다. 따라서 지번주소기반 좌표를 도로명주소의 좌표로 사용하면 미시적 분석에 있어서 상당한 오류를 야기할 수 있다. The address system in Korea was changed to the road-based system in 2014, but the current address coordinates are still largely based on the old, parcel-based system. Compared to the parcel-based address system that defines the center of a parcel as its coordinates, the road-based system locates the coordinates at a certain distance away from the road on which the parcel fronts. The difference in coordinates between these two systems is small, but it can be crucial for micro-level modelling. In order to assess the impact of the discrepancy between the two address systems, this study measured the degree of air pollution exposure at two different locations, the road-based address coordinates and the parcel-based address coordinates, for each of 252 buildings in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul. The air pollution values were estimated using a microscopic air pollution dispersion model, CALINE4, and t-tests and F-tests were conducted to evaluate statistical significance on the observed difference. The results showed a considerable difference in the level of air pollution exposure between the two address systems, suggesting that the on-going use of the parcel-based address coordinates could cause potentially significant errors in micro-level analysis.

        A Post-stratified Estimation in Multivariate Stratified Sampling Surveys

        In multivariate stratified sampling surveys it is general to use a few stratification variables which are highly correlated with the important variables at design stage. But there might be some secondary study variables which are not so highly correlated with those stratification variables. In that case it is not efficient to use the same type of estimator due to the secondary variables as the one base on the important variables. A post-stratified estimation is proposed to increase the efficiency of the estimator with existence of secondary variables. The proposed method is illustrated with a set of fishery household population survey data.

        A Note on Statistical Reports on the Korean Anthropometric Survey

        Most of national-wide surveys are summarized by some statistical tables and graphs. In spite of high costs to get statistical results from surveys, we often find some statistical problems in the statistical reports. In this paper, we point out some statistical problems for the Korean Anthropometric Survey report. Also, we suggest some alternatives which may avoid the illustrated problems.

        A Sampling Design of the Agricultural Machine Estimated Sales Survey

        The agricultural machine estimated sales survey is a survey to estimate annual sales quantities of eight major agricultural machines such as tracter, combine, etc. The purpose of this study is to design a multipurpose sample for the agricultural machine estimated sales survey. Main achievements of this study are to present an efficient stratification criterion and to suggest a reasonable estimation method by using the concept of post-stratification.
