본 논문은 GPS(Global Positioning System) 수신기로부터 전달받은 위치 데이터를 이용하여 동의대학교 캠퍼스 음성안내시스템을 설계하고 구축하였다. 위치정보는 GPS에서 사용 되는 WGS-84 (World Geodetic System, 1984) 좌표계를 좌표번환 없이 이용하여 지도를 제작하고 위치를 나타내고 있다. 여기서 이용된 GPS 수신기모델은 BU-303이고, 작성된 프로그램은 위성으로부터 수신한 신호의 좌표 값, 이동경로 표시 등의 정보를 사용자에게 전달하고, 건물의 특정범위에 진입하게 되면 음성안내를 시작한다. 본 안내시스템의 개발 결과는 동의대학교 가야캠퍼스에 적용해 보았으며, 그 실효성을 검증하였다.

Dispersible tablets disintegrate either to form a stabilized suspension rapidly in water, or to disperse instantaneously in the rice field without the aid of water. In this study, the newly formulated dispersible tablet form of herbicidal combination, pyriminobac-methyl and azimsulfuron, was evaluated the safety for human and animals in the toxicological viewpoints. The LD_(50) value of dispersible tablet form for pyriminobac-methyl and azimsulfuron was above 2,500 mg/kg for the oral route and above 2,000 mg/kg for the dermal route. It is considered to have low acute oral and dermal toxicity based on the findings of the present studies. In addition, the combination of pyriminobac-methyl and azimsulfuron showed mild skin irritant under the conditions of this study and conjunctival redness and slight opacity on cornea appeared from 1 hour after application.
신규개발된 제초제 metamifop 현탁농축액제에 대한 급성독성평가

Metamifop, (R)-2-[4-[(6-chloro-2-benzoxazolyloxyphenoxy]-N-(2-fluorophenyl)-N-methyl propanamide, was newly developed by Dongbu Hannong Chemicals in Korea. In the present study we conducted acute oral toxicity and acute dermal toxicity test. The values of LD_(50) of metamifop was found to be over 5,000 mg/kg for ICR mice. On the other hand, metamifop showed no acute dermal toxicity to SD rats.

Many studies have been published on the human health effects of carbosulfan toxicity. Carbosulfan used as an insecticide can produce an irritating and allergenic effect when acting on the skin. In this study, a sensitization test on albino guinea pigs and intradermal reactivity and occular irritation test on albino rabbits were carried out with carbosulfan. Signs of acute skin inflammation appeared along with the clinical symptom of chronic dermatosis caused by the solution irritating characteristics. Moreover, carbosulfan showed severe eye irritation with conjuctival redness and severe opacity on cornea. Preventive measures should involve workers' obligatory instructions on the noxious impact on human skin and strict observance of industrial safety rules.

<P> We have experimentally analyzed the leakage mechanism and device degradations caused by the Fowler–Nordheim (F–N) and hot carrier stresses for the recently developed dynamic random-access memory cell transistors with deeply recessed channels. We have identified the important differences in the leakage mechanism between saddle fin (S-Fin) and recess channel array transistor (RCAT). These devices have their own respective structural benefits with regard to leakage current. Therefore, we suggest guidelines with respect to the optimal device structures such that they have the advantages of both S-Fin and RCAT structures. With these guidelines, we propose a new recess-FinFET structure that can be realized by feasible manufacturing process steps. The structure has the side-gate form only in the bottom channel region. This enhances the characteristics of the threshold voltage (<TEX>$V_{\rm TH}$</TEX>), <SMALL>ON</SMALL>/<SMALL>OFF</SMALL> currents, and the retention time distributions compared with the S-Fin structure introduced recently. </P>

A gene flow has been tested from transgenic herbicide-resistant Chinese cabbage to major crops in Cruciferae. Hybridizations were made between transgenic Basta-resistant Chinese cabbage and non-transgenic Chinese cabbage, B. napus, B. juncea and Brassicoraphanus(B. campestris × Raphanus sativus, 2n=4x=38) with honey-bee mediated fertilization. Progeny populations were selected by Basta herbicide. The F1 hybrids with pat gene were again self-pollinated or cross-pollinated with nontransgenic Chinese cabbage and rape naturally or artificially. Pod setting ratio were compared as a tentative parameter for potential gene flow. Key agronomic characters were compared among the F1 hybrid populations obtained. In the days to flowering after cold treatment, the F1 hybrids of Brassicoraphanus x B. campestris and B. napus x B. campestris(GM) were the shortest (75 days), and the GM Chinese cabbage and the F1 hybrid of B. juncea x B. campestris(GM) were 87 and 93 days, respectively. In the stem length, the F1 hybrid of Brassicoraphanus x B. campestris was the longest(175 cm), and followed by the F1 hybrid of B. napus x B. campestris(GM), the F1 hybrid of B. juncea x B. campestris(GM) in order. The naturally occurring pod setting ratios were fluctuated seriously among individual and segregation lines. Natural pod setting of the transgenic Chinese cabbage was 10 to 19 %. The F1 hybrid of B. napus x B. campestris(GM) showed the ratio of 4-11%. However, the F1 hybrids of B. juncea x B. campestris and Brassicoraphanus x B. campestris(GM) did not produced seeds. The F1 hybrids with pat gene were hybridized with nontransgenic Chinese cabbage and rape by artificial bud pollination to test potential gene flow. All cross combinations except Brassicoraphanus produced seeds and the pod setting ratios ranged from 35 to 100 percentages. Thus, the potentials of the gene flow from Chinese cabbage with pat gene to the order specise in the same gene interspecies or intergeneric species and from the F1 hybrids with pat gene to nontransgenic Chinese cabbage and rape were detected. Herbicide resistant test to the acquired seeds by natural and artificial pollinations including honey-bee mediated fertilization using the same materials is going on.

Background: The clinical implications of myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein autoantibodies (MOG-Abs) are increasing. Establishing MOG-Ab assays is essential for effectively treating patients with MOG-Abs. We established an in-house cell-based assay (CBA) to detect MOG-Abs to identify correlations with patients’ clinical characteristics. Methods: We established the CBA using HEK 293 cells transiently overexpressing full-length human MOG, tested it against 166 samples from a multicenter registry of central nervous system (CNS) inflammatory disorders, and compared the results with those of the Oxford MOG-Ab-based CBA and a commercial MOG-Ab CBA kit. We recruited additional patients with MOG-Abs and compared the clinical characteristics of MOG-Ab-associated disease (MOGAD) with those of neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD). Results: Of 166 samples tested, 10 tested positive for MOG-Abs, with optic neuritis (ON) being the most common manifestation (4/15, 26.7%). The in-house and Oxford MOG-Ab CBAs agreed for 164/166 (98.8%) samples (κ=0.883, P<0.001); two patients (2/166, 1.2%) were only positive in our in-house CBA, and the CBA scores of the two laboratories correlated well (r=0.663, P<0.001). The commercial MOG-Ab CBA kit showed one false-negative and three false-positive results. The clinical presentation at disease onset differed between MOGAD and NMOSD; ON was the most frequent manifestation in MOGAD, and transverse myelitis was most frequent in NMOSD. Conclusions: The in-house CBA for MOG-Abs demonstrated reliable results and can potentially be used to evaluate CNS inflammatory disorders. A comprehensive, long-term study with a large patient population would clarify the clinical significance of MOG-Abs.
