Divergences in the Theory of Cyclotron Resonance Lineshape

불순물이나 포논과 상호작용하는 전자계에 대한 전기전도도템서와 사이클로트론 공명 선모양 함수를 도출하였다. 전기전도도텐서를 얻는 과정에서 Kubo공식을 이용하는데 타이론에서 무시한 보정항인 충돌항을 고려하고 이 항을 열적이완시간과 관련시켜 일반적인 형태를 얻었다. 섭동향을 계산하는데 Argyres와 Sigel의 사영연산자방법과 본 논문에서 정의한 사영연산자를 토대로 한 운동방정식방법을 다루었는데 이들은 서로 동일한 결과로 나타남을 알 수 있었다. 또한 최저차수에서 구한 선모양 함수를 타이론의 결과와 비교했고 고차항에서는 타이론에서 발산하는 것과는 달리 열적이완시간이 포함됨으로써 발산항이 존재하지 않음을 알 수 있다. A new theory of cyclotron resonance lineshape for the system of electrons in interaction with impurities of phonons is introduced. The collision term appearing in the Kubo formalism is dealt with in the relaxation tine approximation. The many body conductivity tensor is reduced to two different forms in the single particle formalism. But the two conductivity formulas give the same lineshape function, implying that the two techniques are identical. The thermal relaxation time included in the lineshape function is finite , resulting in the disappearance of any danger of divergence in some higher order terms usually excluded in the formula.
Magnetophonon resonances of quantum wires in tilted magnetic fields

The magnetoconductivity of parabolic quantum wires in strong tilted magnetic fields, associated with the magnetophonon resonance effect, is obtained analytically for optical-phonon scattering, by taking the linear-response limit of the results of the nonlinear-response theory developed previously. Neglecting the coupling Hamiltonian term ~B??B??xz, since its contribution to the total electron energy is minor, the results for the magnetophonon resonance effect display two different periods of oscillation as a function of the strength and direction of the magnetic field and the confinement frequencies. In particular, it is shown that the direction of the magnetic field plays a significant role in determining the relaxation rates and the magnetoconductvity related to the magnetophonon resonances.

Kubo의 선형 응답이론을 토대로 전자-불순물계에 대한 자기 광전이 이론을 Faraday 조건에서 제시하였다. 계의 진동수 의존 전기전도도는 Mori형태의 사영연산자 방법을 사용하여 계산하였고, 포물선 밴드 모델에서 전자와 불순물 사이에 약한 상호작용하는 경우와 강한 상호작용하는 경우에 적용할 수 있는 일반적인 형태의 선모양함수를 각각 두가지 다른 방법으로 제시하였다. 직접 대간 전이 및 대내 전이에 대한 선모양 함수가 온도, 자기장, 불순물 농도 및 입사광 진동수의 함수로 나타남을 볼 수 있고 그 결과를 타이론과 비교하였다. On the basis of the Kubo formalism for linear response, a theory of magneto-optical transitions in the electron-impurity system is presented for the Faraday configuration. The frequency-dependent conductivity of the system is evaluated by using the Mori-type projection technique. In the parabolic band model, the general lineshape functions which are applicable to both a weak and an arbitrary and/or strong electron-impurity coupling are introduced in two different ways. Explicit expressions for direct interband and intraband transition are given as functions of temperature, magnetic field, impurity concentration, and the incident photon frequency. The results are compared with those of some other authors.
공초점 광학현미경에서의 side-lobe 감소방안에 대한 연구

공초점 현미경에서 광축 방향의 상을 얻을 때 잡음으로 작용하는 side-lobe의 영향을 조사하였다. 이러한 side-lobe는 Herschel 조건을 만족시킴으로써 최소화시킬 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 side-lobe에 대한 영향을 전산 시늉하였고, 이 결과를 실험에 적용하여 Herschel 조건에 의해 위상 보정을 함으로써 side-lobe가 최소화됨을 확인하였다. The effect of side-lobe on axial image is investigated. We show, using computer simulation and experimentally, that an optimized axial response can be achieved by minimized side-lobe according to the Herschel condition and that the appearance of sidelobes is decreased by balancing phase error.
Quantum-statistical theory of high-field transport phenomena

On the basis of Tani's formalism for nonlinear response, a closed-form expression of the field-dependent dc conductivity is introduced. The field-dependent dc conductivity of electron-background (impurity and phonon) systems is evaluated by using the Mori-type projection technique. We also obtain the field-dependent self-energy operators, which show that the collisional broadening appears in both weak and high fields, while the intracollisional field effect is observed only in high field, as predicted by Barker. The results are compared with the work of some other authors.

Quantum Limit Cyclotron Resonance for Deformation Potential Scattering

A theory of cyclotron transitions in electron-phonon systems is presented with the help of the projection method. The calculated linewidth in the moderate temperature quantum limit for acoustic deformation potential scattering is proportional to the temperature and the square root of the magnetic field for "nonadiabatic" processes, which is in qualitative agreement with the experiment of Kobori et al. and with Meyer's theoretical value. The width for "adiabatic" processes is proportional to the square root of the temperature and the magnetic field, which agrees well with the work of Arora et al. and suzuki et al. The results in the low temperature regions are in good agrement with those of Meyer, Larsen, Choi et al., and Ohyama et al.

Based on the Kubo formalism and Mori's projection technique, the Cyclotron resonance line width for optical polaron scattering is derived. Considering the lowest intra-Landau level transition and the zero temperature limit condition, the magnetic field-dependent and temperature-dependent line widths are obtained and compared with those of some other authors.

Starting with Tani's theory of nonlinear response and using the operator method introduced by Argyres and Sigel, the field-dependent self-energy for weak electron-impurity coupling is derived. The result in the lowest order approximation is identical with that of Suzuki.
