        대학 연구실 관리 안전등급 기준 설정 방법 연구

        Over the past three years, the average number of accidents in the university labs was 178/year. In particular, in 2016, this number was 210. This high number of incidents is because university laboratories contain a range of complex equipment, chemicals, and gas facilities. On close review, it was found that the difficulty in assigning safety ratings to laboratories is because there are many risk factors. In particular, the current rating system focuses on the assessment of the university rather than the potential risk. Thus, there can be large variations in the safety rating each year, which may result in accidents in the same laboratory. The aim of this paper is to propose new evaluation methods for laboratory safety ratings. First, we surveyed ten provincial universities to understand the current situation. Based on these results, two safety rating techniques are proposed. One is a risk assessment technique that deals with the relationship between the severity of the accident, the exposure time, and the probability of the accident. The other is a risk assessment method that considers the risk levels and quantities of equipment and material involved. As a result, laboratory safety ratings can be graded according to the risk level. 최근 3년간 대학 연구실에서의 사고 발생 현황은 연평균 178건으로 특히 2016년 210건의 사고사 발생하였다. 이것은 대학의 연구실은 종합적 관리가 이루어져야 할 만큼 기자재, 약품, 가스, 전기시설 등이 이 한 공간에 복잡하게 설치되어 있어 위험등급 지정이 난해하기 때문이다. 현재의 등급제도는 기관 평가의 측면에 치중하여 잠재적 위험성을 간과하는 측면이 있다. 따라서, 매년 등급이 큰 편차가 발생하기도 하여 동일 실험실의 안전사고를 유발하는 요인이 될 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 지역별 4년제 10개 대학을 조사하여 현황을 파악하고, 각 대학의 실증 자료를 조사하여 정리하였다. 이를 바탕으로 본 논문은 위험등급의 설정을 위해 피해에 따른 사고의 크기와 종사자의 노출 시간과 사고 발생 확률의 관계에서 등급이 정해지는 위험성 평가기법과 현재 사용되는 기자재와 수량을 고려한 위험성 평가기법을 소개한다. 이를 사용하여 효과적으로 연구실의 위험 순위를 결정할 수 있었다.

        Generally, the small businesses are the representative form of the enterprises which have developed within the context of regional economy. And the small businesses cooperate with the Local habitant for the construction of good community and play roles as a corporate citizenship. So, small businesses in chonnam area are of great importance for the development of the district. This paper attempts to analyse the present situations of the small businesses in Chonnam and to formulate the strategic models of growth for them. Small businesses in Chonnam are under-developed than those in other areas in Korea. They are smaller in size. Employees per firm are the smallest in numbers through the whole country. More worse, they are in poor technology and old equipments. Thus the products per firm are the lesser than any other area. Top managers are greatly interested in cutting down the product cost, but not in manpower, technology development and design development. Difficulties in managing the enterprise are shortage of funds and rising of the prices of raw materials. And about 21% of the small businesses do not implement quality controls. Debt ratio is overly high. Furthermore, current debt ratio is very high and profitability is very low. These mean that the small businesses in Chonnam are in great difficulties. Because of the poor financial positions and the smallness in size, without exceptional aids of the authorities concerned, it is very difficult to formulate good strategic models for growth. But the small business will possibly grow by doing the followings. Firstly, they should have in mind that the ultimate customer is the consumer. If not recognized as a reliable business, the business can't survived in the future. Managers should keep in mind that small business can exist under consumer's love, and manage the business with the thought of serving the consumers. Secondly, small businesses should cooperate among them. Cooperation system is an effective system which enables the difficult tasks to be solved easily. By using the power of the system, it can be possible to minimize the needed cost and to maximize the benefit. Thirdly, they should continuously invest in research and development(R&D) in their own categories of business. For existence, small businesses should enforce competitive power by producing better products or effecting new process of manufacture. Almost all the venture businesses are small. But they will be more profitable than the large. In the future, R & D investment will decide the success of the business.

        Prospective Clinical Trial of Corneal Reconstruction With Biomaterial-Free Cultured Oral Mucosal Epithelial Cell Sheets

        PURPOSE:: To investigate the efficacy and safety of transplantation with biomaterial-free cultured oral mucosal epithelial cell sheets (COMECs) for ocular reconstruction in subjects with total limbal stem cell deficiency. METHODS:: A prospective clinical trial (NCT02149732) was conducted in 8 subjects with total limbal stem cell deficiency after approval from the institutional review board of Seoul National University Hospital (H-0707-043-213) and the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety of Korea. COMECs were prepared in a culture system without the use of any temperature-sensitive polymers or carriers. The COMECs were transplanted without suture fixation. Four subjects underwent penetrating keratoplasty after stabilization of the COMEC transplant. Stable epithelialization, changes in visual acuity, and postoperative complications were evaluated for 6 months. Corneal cytokeratins (K) of 4 subjects who underwent penetrating keratoplasty were stained with an immunofluorescent agent. RESULTS:: The ocular surface was successfully reconstructed in 6 eyes. Complete stable epithelialization was achieved within a mean of 53.6 days. Visual improvement (≥2 lines) was achieved in 62.5% of the eyes. K12 (corneal phenotype), K4, and K13 (mucosal phenotype) were well expressed in grafts after keratoplasty, whereas K1, K8, and K19 were barely expressed. No ocular infections, local tumor formation, or remarkable systemic complications were observed. Ocular reconstruction using COMECs failed in 2 eyes, which had full symblepharon in 4 quadrants. CONCLUSIONS:: Transplanting biomaterial-free COMECs seems to be an efficient and safe procedure to reconstruct the ocular surface in patients who are completely limbal stem cell deficient without a full symblepharon.

        In Vitro Activities of Antimicrobials Against Brucella abortus Isolates from Cattle in Korea During 1998-2006

        In vitro activities of 13 antibiotics were assessed against 85 Brucella abortus isolates from naturally infected cattle in the Republic of Korea during 1998-2006, using broth microdilution test. Tetracyclines showed the most excellent activity against B. abortus, displaying MIC values of 0.5 μg/ml or below. In particular, minocycline showed the lowest MIC 50/90 values (0.125/0.125 μg/ml) in this study. Among four fluoroquinolones tested, ciprofloxacin (MIC 50/90 , 0.5/1 μg/ml) and norfloxacin (MIC 50/90 , 8/8 μg/ml) had the most and the least activities, respectively. Gentamicin (MIC 50/90 , 1/1 μg/ml) was more effective than streptomycin, erythromycin, rifampin, and chloramphenicol (MIC 50/90 , 2/2 μg/ml).

        General Laws of the Iterated Logarithm for Levy Processes

        Let ${X(t) : 0 \leq t < \infty}$ be a real-valued process with stationary independent increments. In this paper, we obtain necesary and sufficint condition for there to exist a positive, nondecreasing function $\beta(t)$ so that $0 < lim sup $\mid$X(t)$\mid$/\beta(t) < \infty$ a.s. both as t tends to zero and infinity. When no such $\beta(t)$ exists we give a simple integral test for whether $lim sup $\mid$X(t)$\mid$/\beta(t)$ is zero or infinity for a given $\beta(t)$.

        APPROXIMATIONS OF OPTION PRICES FOR A JUMP-DIFFUSION MODEL

        We consider a geometric Levy process for an underlying asset. We prove first that the option price is the unique solution of certain integro-differential equation without assuming differentiability and boundedness of derivatives of the payoff function. Second result is to provide convergence rate for option prices when the small jumps are removed from the Levy process.

        ERROR ESTIMATES FOR OPTION PRICES IN JUMP-DIFFUSION MODELS

        We consider a jump-diffusion model generated by a Levy process for an asset price. We present an error estimate for the option prices between the jump-diffusion model and the Black-scholes model when the former converges weakly to the latter.
