( Imran Ahmed Khan ) 대한결핵 및 호흡기학회 2021 대한결핵 및 호흡기학회 추계학술대회 초록집 Vol.129 No.-

Background Physical environment and host factors are known to be associated with high rates of asthma prevalence in the world. However, societal attitudes have not been seriously considered in most studies. Objective: This paper aims to investigate the level of asthma awareness in community concerning to diagnosis, symptoms, preventions, emergency management and its association with prevalence rates in parts of Karachi city, Pakistan. This study is about asthma awareness, regarding its symptoms, regular / emergency treatment and prevention from triggers. Methods At Community level an awareness index has been used based on data collected through a questionnaire based survey. Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA) guidelines has been used for this asthma index, index categorize for symptoms, regular and emergency treatment and prevention to assess awareness. All subjects were evaluated using the following scores, i.e., lowest (fully unaware) = 1 through highest (fully aware) = 9. Observed data were weighted with these scale values. Results Data were collected from 987 participants from 21 Union councils (UCs) (47 from each UCs). Almost 30 % participant (n=297) found with at least a respiratory disease (either diagnosed or self-reported). In addition, it was found that 12 % of identified respiratory patients (n=37) had chronic disorder while 37% (n=104) seasonally suffered, particularly in winter season. The average value of asthma awareness in study area based on the awareness scale, which were considerably low with 3.56 (9 is max awareness value). Most people can identify better about asthma symptoms but least about other factors including regular and emergency management and prevention. Conclusion The Results suggest overall asthma awareness is low in the studied population especially with prevention point of view. Health scientist, community learning and asthma patients need to draw attention towards proper diagnosing, its symptoms, treatment and emergency management.

      • Named Entity Recognition by Using Maximum Entropy

Imran Ahmed,Sathyaraj R 보안공학연구지원센터 2015 International Journal of Database Theory and Appli Vol.8 No.2

Named Entity Recognition (NER) is responsible for extracting and classifying some designators in the given specified text which can be name, location, organization etc. Since the last decade or so, researchers are greatly involved in this area as far as their interests are concerned. It is important procedure to extract the entities in a specified text based on a language which is termed as Natural Language. This language consists of various entities and the collection of such entities is called entity set. These entity sets are maintained in a uniform database called as gazetteer. In this paper we present a methodology called maximum entropy to retrieve the entity sets from the database. The machine is trained in such a way that it will retrieve the words which has the maximum entropy amongst all and has proved to be fastest method to extract and classify the entity sets from the database. The advantages of proposed method include sequence tagging which means this method has increased the freedom of choosing features to represent observations.

      • Pre and Post Silicon Validation Automation with Graphics Behavior Checker

Imran Ahmed 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Hybrid Information Techno Vol.9 No.6

Pre and Post silicon validation automation is used for testing graphics in the computers, tablets and smart phones. A graphics driver is software that allows operating system and programs to use computer graphics hardware. To test the performance of this display system pre and post silicon automation is used such that end users get the best high definition experience. Pre silicon automation is based on emulation of graphics hardware and testing on it before it is actually build. Post silicon automation is testing of actual graphics hardware after it has been manufacture. Post silicon automation works to detect and fix bugs in graphics hardware of the system after it has been manufacture. Due to complex design of the hardware it is impossible to fix all bugs before it is manufacture. Pre silicon automation is an attempt to rectify any bug that can occur before the manufacture of graphics hardware such that it is way to reduces number of cases of bugs in graphics hardware that can occur after it is produce. Graphic Behavior in which each section is to assigned team of architects and micro-architects whose expertise targets a particular functional area for both hardware and software. It is record of all information that is kept for registers used in any sequences such that all information generated after running from driver is used to cross verify.

Effectiveness of meta-models for multi-objective optimization of centrifugal impeller

Sayed Ahmed Imran Bellary,Afzal Husain,Abdus Samad 대한기계학회 2014 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.28 No.12

The major issue of multiple fidelity based analysis and optimization of fluid machinery system depends upon the proper constructionof low fidelity model or meta-model. A low fidelity model uses responses obtained from a high fidelity model, and the meta-model isthen used to produce population of solutions required for evolutionary algorithm for multi-objective optimization. The Pareto-optimalfront which shows functional relationships among the multiple objectives can produce erroneous results if the low fidelity models are notwell-constructed. In the present research, response surface approximation and Kriging meta-models were evaluated for their effectivenessfor the application in the turbomachinery design and optimization. A high fidelity model such as CFD technique along with the metamodelswas used to obtain Pareto-optimal front via multi-objective genetic algorithm. A centrifugal impeller has been considered as casestudy to find relationship between two conflicting objectives, viz., hydraulic efficiency and head. Design variables from the impellergeometry have been chosen and the responses of the objective functions were evaluated through CFD analysis. The fidelity of each metamodelhas been discussed in context of their predictions in entire design space in general and near optimal region in particular. Exploitationof the multiple meta-models enhances the quality of multi-objective optimization and provides the information pertaining to fidelityof optimization model. It was observed that the Kriging meta-model was better suited for this type of problem as it involved less approximationerror in the Pareto-optimal front.

Centrifugal Impeller Blade Shape Optimization Through Numerical Modeling

Sayed Ahmed Imran Bellary,Abdus Samad 한국유체기계학회 2016 International journal of fluid machinery and syste Vol.9 No.4

Surrogate model based shape optimization methodology to enhance performance of a centrifugal pump has been implemented in this work. Design variables, such as blade number and blade angles defining the pump impeller blade shape were selected and a three-level full factorial design approach was used for efficiency enhancement. A threedimensional simulation using Reynolds-averaged Navier Stokes (RANS) equations for the performance analysis was carried out after designing the geometries of the impellers at the design points. Standard k-ε turbulence model was used for steady incompressible flow simulations. The optimized impeller incurred lower losses by shifting the trailing edge towards the impeller pressure side. It is observed that the surrogates are problem dependent and most accurate surrogate does not deliver the best design always.

Numerical Analysis of Centrifugal Impeller for Different Viscous Liquids

Bellary, Sayed Ahmed Imran,Samad, Abdus Korean Society for Fluid machinery 2015 International journal of fluid machinery and syste Vol.8 No.1

Oil and gas industry pumps viscous fluids and investigation of flow physics is important to understand the machine behavior to deliver such fluids. 3D numerical flow simulation and analysis for different viscous fluids at different rotational speeds of a centrifugal impeller have been reported in this paper. Reynolds-averaged Navier Stokes (RANS) equations were solved and the performance analysis was made. Standard two equation k-${\varepsilon}$ model was used for the turbulence closure of steady incompressible flow. An inlet recirculation and reverse flow in impeller passage was observed at low impeller speeds. It was also found that the higher viscosity fluids have higher recirculation which hinders the impeller performance.
