      • 都市 및 農村의 腸內 寄生蟲 感染에 關한 比較硏究 : 光州市 및 羅州郡 鳳凰面 地域을 中心으로

        From the 1st of March to the 30th of April, 1979, this study on intestinal helminthic infections was carried ont on thc inhabitants, in Gwang-ju City and thc Bong-hwang Myun, Na-ju Gun area. The methods employed were Kato's cellophane thick smear technique in 603 cases (Gwang-ju City : 310, Bong-hwang Myun : 293) for the prevalence rate of various intestinal helminths ; the Scotch tape anal swab techniquu in 459 cases (Gwang-ju City : 223, Bong-hwang Myun : 236) for the prevalence rate of Enterobius vermicularis and Stoll's dilution egg-counting technique in all positive cases for the evaluation of the worm burden of some helminths. The results are as follows : 1. The positive rate of intestinal helminths of any kin was 80.1%(male: 75.0%, female : 85.1%) in Gwang-ju City ahd 92.6% (male : 90.6%, female : 94.5%) in the Bong-hwang Myun area by the cellophane thick smear technique. 2. The prevalence rate of Ascaris lumbricoides was 48.7% (male : 43.4:%, female : 52.9%, in Gwanag-ju City and 52.6%(rnale : 63.3%, female : 42.9%)in the Bong-hwang Myun area. 3. The prevalenec rate of Trichuris trichiura was 66.5%(male : 58.8%, female : 74.1%) in Gwang-ju City and 72.6%(male : 69.8%, female : 75.3%)in the Bong-hwang Myun. The highest prevalence rateamong helminths was in this area. 4. The prevalence rate of hookworm was 5.0%(male : 3.7%, female : 6.3%) in Gwang-ju City and 9.6%(male : 7.2%, female : 11.7%) in the Bong-hwang Myun area. 5. The prevalcncc raLe of Trichostrongylus orientalis was 4.8%(male : 4.4%., female : 5.2%) in Gwang-ju City and 6.2%(male : 7.2%, female : 5.2%) in the Bong-hwang Myun area. 6. The prevalence tate of Clonorchis sinensis was 1.4% (male : 2.2%, female : 0.6%.) in Gwang-ju City and 2.4%(male : 4.3%, female : 0.4%) in the Bong-hwang Myun area. It is higher in males than in femaless in the surveyed areas. 7. Taenia spp. was not foun in Gwang-.ju City and only 2 cases were found in the Bong-hwang Myun area. 8. The prevalence rate of Enterobious vermicularis was 29.1 %(male : 29.3%, female : 28.9%) in Gwang jn City and 31.3% (male : 29.5%, female : 33.1%) in the Bong-hwang Myun area by the Scotch tape anal technique. 9. The mean E.P.G. in Gwang-ju City be Stoll's dilution egg-counting technique was Ascaris lumbricoidis : 6,465 ; Trichuris trichiura : 600 : Hookworm : 392 ; Trichostrongylus orientalis : 256; and Clonorchis sinesis : 741. 10. The mean E.P.G. in the Bonag-hwang Myun area by the Stoll's dilution egg-counting technique wa s Ascaris lumbricoides : 7,231; Trichuris trichiura : 820 ; Hookworm : 592 ; Trichostrongylus orientalis : 341; and Clonorchis sinensis : 10,851.

      • [논문]Operational Characteristics of CO2 Laser Adopted by Superposing-Discharge

        오늘날 현저한 CO2 레이저의 응용 추세에 발맞추어 보다 다양한 형태의 출력 제어 기술이 대두되고 있다. 본연구에서는multi-Pulse Superposing-Discharge 기술을 이용하여 다양한형태의 CO2 레이저의 펄스를 성형 하였다. 펄스 성형을 위한 방법으로 PIC one-chip microprocessor를 이용하여 삼중 PFN 모률의 SCR을 각각 고유의 지연시간을 가지도록 제어하였다. 실험에 사용된 삼중 PFN 모률의 전원 회로는 각각 캐패시터 인덕터,SCR,고압 펄스 트랜스 그리고 고압 트랜스 2차측에 브릿지 정류기로 구성 하였다. 고압 펼스 트랜스의 1차측을 제어하므로서 PFN 모률의 동작을 저 전압에서 수행 할 수 있다. 트랜스의 2차측에 연결된 전파 정류기는 펄스 에너지를 부하에 지속적으로 전달한다. 본 연구에서는 삼중 PFN 모률의 각각의 SCR을 다른 시간 가격을 두고 트리거 하므로서 다양한 Long pulse shaping을 실현하였다. 또한 약 250-1000μs 의 주기를 가지는 다양한 펄스형 레이저 빔을 얻었다.

        As the science education is increasingly playing a important role for the future, many teaching methods are investigated so that the students can participate in science education with interest and concern. The purpose of this study is to introduce the space and future unit which is underdeveloped in the education process of elementary science. This study was carried out as follows : 1) The contents of science education are composed of the experience which the students can easily acquire in the daily life. 2) The cooperative learning and holistic approach education were taken as teaching methods. This study suggests that the unit, which can give the students faith and confidence about the space and future, and the new teaching methods oriented to students such as the cooperative learning and holistic approach education, should be applied to the open education in practical and effective way.

      • 프롤린 함량 증가 및 내건성 강화 관련 새로운 RING-Type E3 유비퀴틴 리가아제 애기장대 atrzf1 돌연변이체의 생리적 기능 연구

        The covalent attachment of ubiquitin to proteins plays a fundamental role in the regulation of cellular function through biological events involving abiotic of biotic stress responses, immune responses, and apoptosis, Here, we characterize the biological function of the Arabidopsis thaliana RING Zinc Finger 1 (AtRZF1) in dehydration response. AtRZF1 was significantly reduced by drought stress. The atrzf1 mutant was less sensitive to osmotic stress than the wild-type during early seedling development, wheareas transgenic pants overexpressing AtRZF1 were hypersensitive, indicating that AtRZF1 megatively regulates drought-mediated control of early seedling developmeng. Moreover, the ectopic expression of the AtRZF1 gene was very significantly influential in drought sensitiv parameters including proline content, water loss, membrance ion leakage and the expression of dehy-dration stress-relat genes. ARZF1 is a functional E3 ubiquitin ligase, and its conserved C3H2C3-type RING domain is likely important for the biological function of AtRZF1 in drought response. Together, these results suggest that the E3 ligase AtRZF1 is an important regulator of water deficit stress during early seedling development.

      • 렙틴 수용체가 형질 도입된 신경세포에서 ER Stress로 유도된 렙틴저항성에 대한 일산화탄소의 억제작용

        연구 배경 및 목적: 렙틴이 음식의 섭취 양과 체중의 증가를 억제하는 중요한 호르몬 역할을 한다는 사실은 잘 알려졌다. 또한 렙틴에 대한 저항성이 비만의 중요한 원인이라는 연구가 많이 보고되고 있다. 그러나 렙틴 저항성에 대한 구체적인 기전은 아직 밝혀져 있지 않았다. 최근 endoplasmic reticulum (ER) 스트레스에 의한 unfolded protein response (UPR) 가 렙틴에 대한 저항성을 유발한 다는 보고가 있었다. 연구 대상 및 방법: 일산화탄소(carbon monoxide, CO)는 heme oxygenase (HO)-1이 헴(heme)을 산화적 분해로 만들어내는 무색, 무미, 무취의 기체로 항산화, 항염증, 항세포분열 및 항세포고사 작용을 나타내며 조직의 손상에 대한 세포보호작용을 한다. 최근 CO는 ER stress sensor 중의 하나인 protein kinase R-like endoplasmic reticulum kinase (PERK) 를 선택적으로 활성화 시키며 인산화된 PERK 는 HO-1의 전사조절인자인 Nrf2를 인산화로 활성화시켜 결국 HO-1의 유전자 발현을 촉진함이 보고 되였다. 또한 CO로 유도된 PERK의 활성화는 eukaryotic translation initiation factor (eIF) 2a를 인산화로 활성화 시키고 인산화된 eIF2a는 전사인자인 activating transcription factor (ATF)-4의 발현을 유도하지만 CO는 ER stress의 다른 두 개 sensors인 inositol requiring enzyme (IRE) 1a와 하위신호전단물질인 X-box binding protein (xbp)-1이나 ATF6의 활성화에는 영향을 미치지 아니한다. 그러나 ER stress 유발인자들인 thasigargin (TG), tunicamycin (TM), homocysteine 등으로 Xbp-1이나 ATF6가 활성화되는 것을 억제한다. 연구 결과: 본 연구에서는 ER stress 에 의해 활성화되는 UPR에 의해 유발되는 렙틴 저항성이 CO에 의하여 차단될 것이라는 가정을 세우고 다음과 같은 실험결과를 얻었다. TG나 TM에 의해 유도된 ER stress반응 즉 UPR은 렙틴의 신호전달로 야기되는 phospho-signal transducer and activation of transcription (STAT) 3로 인산화되는것을 억제시켰다. 그러나 ER stress를 유도시킬 시 CO를 CO releasing molecule (CORM)으로 처리하였을 때 UPR에 의한 렙틴의 신호전달로 말미암는 STAT3 인산화의 차단이 CO의 양과 노출 시간에 비례하여 제거 되었다. 결론: 이러한 실험결과는 CO에 의한 PERK 인산화는 ER stress 유도체에 의한 IRE1a의 하위 신호전달물질인 Xbp-1 이나 ATF6의 활성화를 억제하여 ER stress 반응인 UPR에 의한 렙틴 저항성을 차단함을 시사한다. 결론적으로 이러한 실험결과는 CO유도체를 이용하여 병인적인 렙틴 저항에 의한 여러 질병을 치료할 수 있음을 시사한다. Background: It is well known that leptin is an important circulating signal for the inhibition of food intake and the gain of body weight. Accumulating data suggest that leptin resistance has been considered to be one of the main causes of obesity. However, the detailed mechanism of leptin resistance is not known yet. Recently, endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress-induced unfolded protein response (UPR) is reported to be responsible for the leptin resistance. Materials & methods: Carbon monoxide (CO), a reaction product of the cytoprotective heme oxygenase (HO)-1, is anti-apoptotic in a variety of models of cellular injury. Exogenous CO activated Nrf2 through the phosphorylation of protein kinase R-like endoplasmic reticulum kinase (PERK), resulting in HO-1 expression. CO-induced activation of PERK was followed by the phosphorylation of eukaryotic translation initiation factor 2a and the expression of activating transcription factor 4. However, CO fails to induce X-box binding protein-1 expression and activating transcription factor 6 cleavage. CO prevented X-box binding protein-1 expression and activating transcription factor 6 cleavage induced by ER-stress inducer such as thasigargin (TG), tunicamycin (TM) and homocysteine. Results: In the present study, we hypothesized that exogenous CO might block the leptin resistance which is induced by UPR during ER stress. Thasigargin or tunicamycin was used to induce ER stress. The activation status of leptin signals were measured by western blotting analysis using a phospho-signal transducer and activation of transcription3 (STAT3) antibody. In this study, ER stress markedly inhibited leptin-induced STAT3 phosphorylation. Conculusion: These results suggest that ER stress induces leptin resistance and exogenous CO-induced phosphorylation of PERK branch reversed ER stress-induced leptin resistance. Moreover, CO releasing molecule (CORM) blocks the inhibition of leptin-induced STAT3 phosphorylation. Together, the pathological mechanism of leptin resistance could be ameliorated by the use of exogenous CO..

        수종의 치과용 수복재료 및 시멘트의 radiopacity

        The radiopacity of six composite resins, three resin luting cements and ten filling materials were studied. The purpose was to obtain an indication of radiopacity value of different brands within each of these groups of materials and to show differences in radiopacities of filling materials and natural tooth structures. On radiographs, the optimal densities of standardized samples were determined by computer imaging system and radiopacity values of the materials were expressed in millimeter equivalent aluminum. Within the groups of materials studied, there was considerable variation in radiopacity. The composite resins of P-50, Z100 and Prisma AP.H displayed much higher radiopacities than aluminum. Panavia resin cement was shown to be similarly radiopaque to aluminum. Generally, the radiopacity of base and filling materials appeared to be higher than that of the enamel and dentin. If materials with substantial difference in radiopacity are used in combined applications for restorative treatment of teeth, lower radiopacity can interfere with the diagnosis and detection of gaps near the restoration.

        Some allylamine compounds which are benzothiazole substituants in stead of naphthylring in naftifine, antifungal agents, were sythesized as potential antimycotics. The intermediate Schiff bases that were obtained by condensation of 2-aminobenzothiazole and trans-cinnamaldehyde, were reduced to imine compounds to give allylamines(5a-5d) after mrthylation. These compounds which were tested in vitro against five fungal cell lines containing Trichophyton mentagrophytes. showed no activity in 0.1∼100 μg/ml range.

      • 치주조직 상태에 따른 타액세균의 e-PTFE 막 부착에 관한 연구

        The purpose of this study was to evaluate the bacterial adherence on e-PTFE membrane immersed in whole saliva from subjects with different periodontal status. Experiment involved 3 subjects groups : 5 persons with healthy periodontium(probing depth below 3mm and no signs of gingival inflammation including bleeding on probing), 10 patients with gingivitis(probing depth below 3mm and apparent signs of gingival inflammation), and 10 patients with advanced periodontitis(probing depth over 7mm and apparent signs of gingival inflammation). Each disease group was included before and after scaling and root planing treatment. After obtaining whole saliva from each subject, e-PTFE membrane(Gore-Tex periodontal membrane : GTPM??, W.L. Gore & Associates, Flagstaff, USA) specimens were immersed at room temperature in the saliva aliqouts for 1, 3, 7 days. The weight between pre-and post-immersion in saliva was measured with the analytical balance and the difference was recorded. The specimens were processed for SEM observation. The bacterial adherence on the membrane specimens was evaluated using the scanning electron microscope images. The obtained results were as follows : 1. There was no difference in the weight of bacteria adherent to e-PTFE membrane specimens according to the periodontal status and the immersion periods. 2. As the exposure time to saliva increased, the bacterial adherence to the membrane specimen significantly increased in all groups(P<0.005). 3. As the severity of periodontal disease increased, the bacterial adherence to the membrane specimens significantly increased(P<0.001). 4. After scaling and root planing, the bacterial adherence to the membrane specimens significantly decreased in gingivitis and periodontitis patient group(P<0.001). These results suggest that bacterial contamination on exposed barrier membrane surface be reduced through improvement of periodontal status and oral health environment before and after GTR procedure for the successful outcome.
