Huang, Nan-Jing,Zhang, Wen-Bin 한국전산응용수학회 1997 Journal of applied mathematics & informatics Vol.4 No.2
In this paper we introduce and study a new class of completely generalized mildly nonlinear complementarity problems for fuzzy mappings and construct some new iterative algorithms. We also show the existence of solution and the convergence of iterative sequences generated by the algorithm. Our results extend some recent results of Noor, Chang and huang.
Down-regulation of SENP1 Expression Increases Apoptosis of Burkitt Lymphoma Cells
Huang, Bin-Bin,Gao, Qing-Mei,Liang, Wei,Xiu, Bing,Zhang, Wen-Jun,Liang, Ai-Bin Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2012 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.13 No.5
Objective: To investigate the effect of down-regulation of Sentrin/SUMO-specific protease 1 (SENP1) expression on the apoptosis of human Burkitt lymphoma cells (Daudi cells) and potential mechanisms. Methods: Short hairpin RNA (shRNA) targeting SENP1 was designed and synthesized and then cloned into a lentiviral vector. A lentiviral packaging plasmid was used to transfect Daudi cells (sh-SENP1-Daudi group). Daudi cells without transfection (Daudi group) and Daudi cells transfected with blank plasmid (sh-NC-Daudi group) served as control groups. Flow cytometry was performed to screen GFP positive cells and semiquantitative PCR and Western blot assays were employed to detect the inference efficiency. The morphology of cells was observed under a microscope before and after transfection. Fluorescence quantitative PCR and Western blot assays were conducted to measure the mRNA and protein expression of apoptosis related molecules (caspase-3, 8 and 9). After treatment with $COCl_2$ for 24 h, the mRNA and protein expression of hypoxia inducible factor -$1{\alpha}$ (HIF-$1{\alpha}$) was determined. Results: Sequencing showed the expression vectors of shRNA targeting SENP1 to be successfully constructed. Following screening of GFP positive cells by FCM, semiqualitative PCR showed the interference efficiency was $79.2{\pm}0.026%$. At 48 h after transfection, the Daudi cells became shrunken, had irregular edges and presented apoptotic bodies. Western blot assay revealed increase in expression of caspase-3, 8 and 9 with prolongation of transfection (P<0.05). Following hypoxia treatment, mRNA expression of HIF-$1{\alpha}$ remained unchanged in three groups (P>0.05) but the protein expression of HIF-$1{\alpha}$ markedly increased (P<0.05). However, in the sh-SENP1-Daudi group, the protein expression of HIF-$1{\alpha}$ remained unchanged Conclusion: SENP1-shRNA can efficiently inhibit SENP1 expression in Daudi cells. SENP1 inhibition may promote cell apoptosis. These findings suggest that SENP1 may serve as an important target in the gene therapy of Burkitts lymphoma.

Aim: To study any correlation of LKB1 expression with prognosis in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) cases. Methods: A total of 70 HCC patients and 20 primary intrahepatic stone patients in the first affiliated hospital of Wenzhou Medical College were enrolled in this study. LKB1 expression was detected by immunohistochemistry. Patients were followed-up and prognostic factors were evaluated. Result: LKB1 expression was decreased in the HCC samples. Loss of LKB1 expression in HCC was significantly related to histologic grade (P=0.010), vascular invasion (P=0.025) and TMN stage (P=0.011). Patients showing negative LKB1 expression had a significantly shorter disease-free and overall survival than those with positive expression (P = 0.001, P=0.000, respectively). Multivariate Cox regression analysis indicated that LKB1 expression level was an independent factor of survival (P = 0.033). Conclusion: HCC patients with decreased expression LKB1 have a poor prognosis. The loss of LKB1 expression is correlated with a lower survival rate.
Numerical and experimental analysis of a counter-rotating type horizontal-axis tidal turbine
Bin Huang,Yuji Nakanishi,Toshiaki Kanemoto 대한기계학회 2016 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.30 No.2
In order to exploit renewable energies form tidal currents, a unique counter-rotating type horizontal-axis tidal turbine was proposed in this paper. Although a counter-rotating type horizontal-axis wind turbine can be taken as a reference in designing the proposed counterrotating tidal turbine, there are some different characteristics such as the effects of the free surface and the occurrence of cavitation. The unique tidal turbine in this paper was preliminarily designed on the basis of the in-house wind turbine, and then CFD analysis and experimental test were carried out to evaluate its performance. For the extreme conditions where severe flow separation and vortex exist, the comparison of the power coefficients generated by the turbine between the CFD predictions and the experimental data shows not so good. However, good agreement has been obtained for the comfortable blade pitch setting angles and over a range of tip speed ratios, which provides an evidence of validation of CFD analysis. Such results give sufficient confidence that the CFD model set up here is suitable for the further works.
Primary-Side Control for Flyback Converter with Wide Range Operation
Bin-Kun Huang,Tsorng-Juu Liang,Wei-Jing Tseng,Kai-Hui Chen,Qing-Mu Chen 전력전자학회 2019 ICPE(ISPE)논문집 Vol.2019 No.5
Most of current primary side regulation (PSR) control methods are implemented in either discontinuous conduction mode (DCM) or continuous conduction mode (CCM). Because of the difficulty in sensing the output voltage, no algorithm is suitable for both DCM and CCM, and the power range of the system is limited. The proposed controller is suitable for both DCM and CCM with wide power range operation. The “TSMC 0.25 μm CMOS high voltage mixed signal process” is adopted to implement the proposed IC. A flyback converter with 400 V input and 20 V/150 W output is built to verify the feasibility of proposed control IC.
Comparative Study and Electrochemical Properties of LiFePO4F Synthesized by Different Routes
Bin Huang,Suqin Liu,Hongliang Li,Shuxin Zhuang,Dong Fang 대한화학회 2012 Bulletin of the Korean Chemical Society Vol.33 No.7
To improve the performance of LiFePO4F, a novel sol-gel process is developed. For comparison, ceramic process is also implemented. From X-ray diffraction results we know that each sample adopts a triclinic P1 space group, and they are isostructural with amblygonite and tavorite. The scanning electron microscope images show that the homogeneous grains with the dimension of 300-500 nm is obtained by the sol-gel process; meanwhile the sample particles obtained by ceramic process are as big as 1000-3000 nm. By galvanostatic tests and at electrochemical impedance spectroscopy method, the sample obtained by sol-gel process presents better electrochemical properties than the one obtained by ceramic process.

<P>We directly measure the spatially and spectrally resolved gain of erbium doped multicore and few mode fiber amplifiers using a coherent swept wavelength interferometer operated in the reflection mode. It greatly simplifies the characterization of multispatial mode amplifiers because it enables characterization of the mode-dependent gain with only a single mode-selective multiplexer at the input. The gains for both multicore fiber amplifier and three spatial modes (LP01 and <TEX>${\rm{LP}}_{{11}}$</TEX>) amplifier are measured. Measurements for multicore fiber amplifier are conducted using two pump schemes, core pump and cladding pump. Also, the comparison with the cutback experiments shows the validity of this technique.</P>

Huang, Bin,Fontaine, Nicolas K.,Ryf, Roland,Guan, Binbin,Leon-Saval, Sergio G.,Shubochkin, R.,Sun, Y.,Lingle, R.,Li, Guifang The Optical Society 2015 Optics express Vol.23 No.1
<P>We demonstrate the first all-fiber mode-group-selective photonic lantern using multimode graded-index fibers. Mode selectivity for mode groups LP(01), LP(11) and LP(21)+LP(02) is 20-dB, 10-dB and 7-dB respectively. The insertion loss when butt coupled to multimode graded-index fiber is below 0.6-dB. The use of the multimode graded-index fibers in the taper can significantly reduce the adiabaticity requirement.</P>
Reduction of Free Edge Peeling Stress of Laminated Composites Using Active Piezoelectric Layers
Huang, Bin,Kim, Heung Soo Hindawi Publishing Corporation 2014 The Scientific World Journal Vol.2014 No.-
<P>An analytical approach is proposed in the reduction of free edge peeling stresses of laminated composites using active piezoelectric layers. The approach is the extended Kantorovich method which is an iterative method. Multiterms of trial function are employed and governing equations are derived by taking the principle of complementary virtual work. The solutions are obtained by solving a generalized eigenvalue problem. By this approach, the stresses automatically satisfy not only the traction-free boundary conditions, but also the free edge boundary conditions. Through the iteration processes, the free edge stresses converge very quickly. It is found that the peeling stresses generated by mechanical loadings are significantly reduced by applying a proper electric field to the piezoelectric actuators.</P>
