        Influence of Adhesive and Ni on the Interface between Mg and Fe in the Laser-TIG-Adhesive Hybrid Welding Joint

        The lap joint characteristics of laser-TIG-adhesive hybrid welding of AZ61 magnesium alloy to Q235 steel are examined. The microstructures and elemental distribution of the Mg-steel dissimilar laser-arc-adhesive hybrid welding joint are investigated. A certain concentration of Mg element is found in the Ni-Fe solid solution. The metallurgical combination is attributed to the formation of a 3 μm to 5 μm thick Mg-Ni-Fe diffuse transition layer caused by adhesive addition. A metallurgical combination mode is revealed at the Mg-Ni-Fe interface in the Mg-steel laser-TIG-adhesive welding joint, which demonstrate the combined effect of the polymer and metals. The mechanical property of linear load is 3.50 kN/cm with the adhesive cured.

        Characterization of microbial community composition and pathogens risk assessment in typical Italian-style salami by high-throughput sequencing technology

        The structure of microbial communities in a typical Italian-style salami, including bacterial and fungal diversity, was investigated by high-throughput sequencing technology. A total of 6 phyla, 7 classes, 19 orders, 20 families and 28 genera were obtained from 16S rDNA sequences, and a total of 2 phyla, 4 classes, 4 orders, 5 families, 10 genera and 12 Species were obtained from 18S rDNA sequences. The core microbiota was composed of Staphylococcaceae, representing up to 97.52% of the total 16S rRNA, and Penicillium digitatum, accounting for 99.74% of the total classified 18S rRNA. Lactobacillales and Saccharomycetales were detected with a quite low proportion of 1.71 and 0.007%, respectively. This study contributes to the knowledge of the microbial diversity involved in salami and presents high-throughput sequencing as a useful tool to evaluate microbial diversity and monitor the food-borne pathogens in fermented sausage.

        Research on grid‑connected harmonic current suppression of three‑phase four‑wire energy storage inverters

        When a three-phase four-wire grid-connected energy storage inverter is connected to unbalanced or single-phase loads, a large grid-connected harmonic current is generated due to the existence of a zero-sequence channel. A controller design approach for grid-connected harmonic current suppression is proposed based on proportion–integral–repetitive (PI–repetitive) control for a three-level neutral point clamped (3L-NPC) three-phase four-wire inverter. By designing the variable parameters n (gain coeffi cient of the PI controller) and Qs (gain of the repetitive controller), the eff ect of the PI–repetitive controller gain on current harmonic suppression is analyzed using a three-dimensional amplitude gain curve. A simplifi ed impedance model in the d 0-frame for a three-phase four-wire inverter is proposed. Based on the impedance model in the d0-frame, the system stability is analyzed under diff erent PI–repetitive control gains by the generalized Nyquist criterion. Finally, the optimal controller design is obtained by a gain characteristic and system stability analysis. The controller obtained by this harmonic suppression analysis method can simultaneously ensure the best grid-connected current quality of the three-phase four-wireinverter and the dynamic stability of the system. Simulation and experimental results verify the effectiveness and correctness of the proposed controller design approach for grid-connected harmonic current suppression.

        Human epididymis protein 4 (HE4) protects against cystic pulmonary fibrosis associated‑inflammation through inhibition of NF‑κB and MAPK singnaling

        Background Cystic pulmonary fibrosis (CF) affects mostly the lung of the newborns. Chronic infection and inflammation become the major causes of morbidity and mortality in CF. However, the underlying molecular mechanisms causing CF still remain unclear. Methods ELISA assay was used to examine the expression of HE4 and pro-inflammatory cytokines in W126VA4 cells supernatant fluid. qRT-PCR was applicable to determine the mRNA level of HE4, α-SMA, collagen 1, MMP2, MMP9 and various interleukins. Immunofluorescent assay was used to test the expression of HE4 in WI-26 VA4 cells. Major elements of MAPK and NF-κB signals pathways were examined by western blot. Results We found higher expression of HE4 in CF patients serum and lung biopsy. Interestingly, HE4 expression was positively correlated with fibrosis markers expression. In addition,HE4 overexpression increased inflammatory cytokines secretion and fibrosis markers expression in WI-26 VA4 cells. And NF-κB pathways were responsible for elevated inflammation. In addition, HE4/MAPK/MMPs signaling cascades destroyed the normal extracellular matrix (ECM) and promoted fibrosis. Conclusions Overall, we first identified that HE4 promoted CF-associated inflammation. Additionally, NF-κB and MAPK signalings were further validated to be responsible for CF-associated inflammation and ECM destruction. Characterization of lumacaftor/ivacaftor in CF-associated inflammation may provide a novel insight into clinical CF treatment.

        Modelling of effective irradiation swelling for inert matrix fuels

        The results of effective irradiation swelling in a wide range of burnup levels are numerically obtained for an inert matrix fuel, which are verified with DART model. The fission gas swelling of fuel particles is calculated with a mechanistic model, which depends on the external hydrostatic pressure. Additionally, irradiation and thermal creep effects are included in the inert matrix. The effects of matrix creep strains, external hydrostatic pressure and temperature on the effective irradiation swelling are investigated. The research results indicate that (1) the above effects are coupled with each other; (2) the matrix creep effects at high temperatures should be involved; and (3) ranged from 0 to 300 MPa, a remarkable dependence of external hydrostatic pressure can be found. Furthermore, an explicit multi-variable mathematic model is established for the effective irradiation swelling, as a function of particle volume fraction, temperature, external hydrostatic pressure and fuel particle fission density, which can well reproduce the finite element results. The mathematic model for the current volume fraction of fuel particles can help establish other effective performance models.

        The Analysis on the Formation of Porosity During Pulsed Laser–Induced TIG Hybrid Welding of 6061 Aluminium Alloy at High Welding Speed

        Reducing welding defects and improving welding manufacturing speed are important for the development of automated welding technology. Low-power pulsed laser–induced TIG hybrid welding method was used to join 6061-T6 aluminium alloy. The formation mechanism of porosity during the high speed welding process was investigated in different parameters, such as pulse frequency, pulse duration, pulse energy and arc current. The results showed that the pulse duration made influence on the energy fluctuations in the welding process, and there was an interaction between laser frequency and welding speed. The energy state of the pulsed laser became a key factor affecting the welding defect and appropriate arc current can effectively decrease the porosity generation.

        Relationships among bedding materials, bedding bacterial composition and lameness in dairy cows

        Objective: Bedding materials directly contact hooves of dairy cows and they may serve as environmental sources of lameness-associated pathogen. However, the specific composition of bacteria hidden in bedding materials is still not clear. The aim of this study was to determine the effect bedding material and its bacterial composition has on lameness of Holstein heifers. Methods: Forty-eight Holstein heifers with similar body weights were randomly assigned into three groups including sand bedding (SB), concrete floor (CF), and compost bedding (CB). Hock injuries severity and gait performance of dairy cows were scored individually once a week. Blood samples were collected at the end of the experiment and bedding material samples were collected once a week for Illumina sequencing. Results: The CF increased visible hock injuries severity and serum biomarkers of joint damage in comparison to SB and CB groups. Besides, Illumina sequencing and analysis showed that the bacterial community of CB samples had higher similarity to that of SB samples than CF samples. Bacteria in three bedding materials were dominated by gastrointestinal bacteria and organic matter-degrading bacteria, such as Actinobacteria, Firmicutes, and norank JG30-KF-cM45. Lameness-associated Spirochaetaceae and Treponeme were only detected in SB and CB samples with a very low relative abundance (0% to 0.08%). Conclusion: The bacterial communities differed among bedding materials. However, the treponemes pathogens involved in the pathogenesis of lameness may not be a part of microbiota in bedding materials of dairy cows.

        Analysis on Temperature Distribution and Current-Carrying Capacity of GIL Filled with Fluoronitriles-CO<sub>2</sub> Gas Mixture

        Fluoronitriles-$CO_2$ gas mixtures are promising alternatives to $SF_6$ in environmentally-friendly gas-insulated transmission lines (GILs). Insulating gas heat transfer characteristics are of major significance for the current-carrying capacity design and operational state monitoring of GILs. In this paper, a three-dimensional calculation model was established for a GIL using the thermal-fluid coupled finite element method. The calculated results showed close agreement with experimentally measured data. The temperature distribution of a GIL filled with the Fluoronitriles-$CO_2$ mixture was obtained and compared with those of GILs filled with $CO_2$ and $SF_6$. Furthermore, the effects of the mixture ratio of the component gases and the gas pressure on the temperature rise and current-carrying capacity of the GIL were analyzed. Results indicated that the heat transfer performance of the Fluoronitriles-$CO_2$ gas mixture was better than that of $CO_2$ but worse than that of $SF_6$. When compared with $SF_6$, use of the Fluoronitriles-$CO_2$ gas mixture caused a reduction in the GIL's current-carrying capacity. In addition, increasing the Fluoronitriles gas component ratio or increasing the pressure of the insulating gas mixture could improve the heat dissipation and current-carrying capacity of the GIL. These research results can be used to design environmentally-friendly GILs containing Fluoronitriles-$CO_2$ gas mixtures.

        Association between Histone Deacetylase 9 Gene Polymorphism and Stroke in Chinese Han Population

        Objective : To explore the correlation between the polymorphism of histone deacetylase 9 gene (rs1060499865, rs723296, rs957960) and ischemic stroke (IS) in Chinese Han population in Dali region. Methods : This study included 155 IS patients and 128 healthy physical examinees. TaqMan-polymerase chain reaction technology and multivariate logistic regression were performed. Results : In the case group, there was no polymorphism of rs1060499865 observed in the two groups; whereas on the rs723296 locus the frequencies of C allele and TC genotype were significantly higher than that in the control group, alleles C and T were associated with a 2.158-fold increase in IS risk, and genotypes TC and TT were associated with a 2.269-fold increase in IS risk. The locus rs957960 exhibited no significant difference between the two groups. Conclusion : An association between rs723296 and the risk of IS was found in the Chinese Han population in Dali region. No significant association was found between rs1060499865, rs957960 and IS in the Chinese Han population in Dali region.
