Discriminative phenomenological features of scale invariant models for electroweak symmetry breaking
Hashino, K.,Kanemura, S.,Orikasa, Y. North-Holland Pub. Co 2016 Physics letters. Section B Vol.752 No.-

Classical scale invariance (CSI) may be one of the solutions for the hierarchy problem. Realistic models for electroweak symmetry breaking based on CSI require extended scalar sectors without mass terms, and the electroweak symmetry is broken dynamically at the quantum level by the Coleman-Weinberg mechanism. We discuss discriminative features of these models. First, using the experimental value of the mass of the discovered Higgs boson h(125), we obtain an upper bound on the mass of the lightest additional scalar boson (similar or equal to 543 GeV), which does not depend on its isospin and hypercharge. Second, a discriminative prediction on the Higgs-photon-photon coupling is given as a function of the number of charged scalar bosons, by which we can narrow down possible models using current and future data for the di-photon decay of h(125). Finally, for the triple Higgs boson coupling a large deviation (similar to+70%) from the SM prediction is universally predicted, which is independent of masses, quantum numbers and even the number of additional scalars. These models based on CSI can be well tested at LHC Run II and at future lepton colliders. (C) 2015 The Authors. Published by Elsevier B.V.

We calculate the spectrum of gravitational waves originated from strongly first order electroweak phase transition in the extended Higgs model with a real singlet scalar field. In order to calculate the bubble nucleation rate, we perform a two-field analysis and evaluate bounce solutions connecting the true and the false vacua using the one-loop effective potential at finite temperatures. Imposing the Sakharov condition of the departure from thermal equilibrium for baryogenesis, we survey allowed regions of parameters of the model. We then investigate the gravitational waves produced at electroweak bubble collisions in the early Universe, such as the sound wave, the bubble wall collision and the plasma turbulence. We find that the strength at the peak frequency can be large enough to be detected at future space-based gravitational interferometers such as eLISA, DECIGO and BBO. Predicted deviations in the various Higgs boson couplings are also evaluated at the zero temperature, and are shown to be large enough too. Therefore, in this model strongly first order electroweak phase transition can be tested by the combination of the precision study of various Higgs boson couplings at the LHC, the measurement of the triple Higgs boson coupling at future lepton colliders and the shape of the spectrum of gravitational wave detectable at future gravitational interferometers.

The purpose of this paper is to investigate the origin of immigrants introduced the rice paddy-field agriculture to the Japanese Archipelago, their cultural formation process and the diffusion mechanism of rice paddy-field agriculture. According to genealogical researches on Songguk-ri-style pit house, stone reaping knives, red burnished jars and dolmens, the Nam River and the downstream area of Nakdong River is the origin of immigrants. And the culture introduced by immigrants was formed by both of the influence form the Songguk-ri-style culture originated in the Midwest part of the Korean peninsula and the previous cultural tradition in these areas. Further, the author discussed about the diffusion mechanism of rice paddy-field agriculture from the point of view of the climate change and natural disasters shown by carbon-14 dating calibration curve, the information network between the Japanese archipelago and the Korean peninsula.
A case of follicular B-cell lymphoma treated using clarithromycin
Masashi Ohe,Satoshi Hashino 대한혈액학회 2011 Blood Research Vol.46 No.3
We report a case of follicular B-cell lymphoma (FL) treated successfully using clarithromycin (CAM). A 44-year-old man who presented with lymphadenopathy was diagnosed with FL after a histological examination of his biopsy specimens. He was administered chemotherapy with R-CHOP (rituximab, cyclophosphamide, adriamycin, vincristine, and prednisolone) following which stable disease was achieved. However, the subsequent clinical course showed partial remission of FL and stable disease with tumor regrowth, each of which was treated with chemotherapeutic regimens. Since the patient was diagnosed with leukocytopenia, he could not undergo chemotherapy for the third regrowth; hence, he was administered CAM. His lymphadenopathy regressed and the levels of soluble interleukin 2-receptor decreased. This case shows that treatment using CAM may be effective in some cases of FL.
Successful treatment of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma with clarithromycin and prednisolone
Masashi Ohe,Satoshi Hashino,Atsuo Hattori 대한혈액학회 2012 Blood Research Vol.47 No.4
We report a case of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) treated successfully with clarithromycin (CAM) and prednisolone (PSL). A 71-year-old woman presented with fever and cervical pain. DLBCL was diagnosed based on histological results from lymph node biopsy. Cervical pain was thought to be caused by the invasion of lymphoma cells into the cervical vertebrae. She initially received radiotherapy for the cervical lesion. She did not receive conventional chemotherapy because of the risk of recurrent non-tuberculous mycobacteria infection; therefore, she was treated with 20 mg/day PSL and 800 mg/day CAM to induce apoptosis in lymphoma cells. Complete remission was achieved after 6 months. The present findings suggest that CAM and PSL may be effective in some cases of DLBCL.
