<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>The chemical-diffusion and surface-exchange coefficients of a proton-conducting oxide, i.e., Ba(Zr<SUB>0.84</SUB>Y<SUB>0.15</SUB>Cu<SUB>0.01</SUB>)O<SUB>3−δ</SUB> upon a sudden change of water-vapor pressure at a fixed oxygen partial pressure are investigated via a conductivity relaxation technique. Conductivity relaxation during the hydration/dehydration process follows typical two-fold non-monotonic behavior that can be explained by decoupled chemical diffusion of H and O. However, the temperature dependence of the measured chemical-diffusion and surface-exchange coefficients is significantly different depending on the direction of the temperature change. In this study, we attempt to identify the origin of these unusual behaviors during the conductivity relaxation experiment via thorough microstructural and compositional analyses on sample surface.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> Hydration kinetics of BZYCu was determined by conductivity relaxation method. </LI> <LI> Time-dependent degradation of the kinetics occurs during the hydration process. </LI> <LI> Elapsed time variable should be considered during conductivity relaxation experiment. </LI> </UL> </P>

An arc welding machine using single switched PFC converter is presented in this paper. First the basic operation and principle is reviewed. Controller design is intended to force voltage ripple to minimize, and dynamis response to enhance Feed-forward strategy for arc welding machine is developed, and that is verified by simulation. The improved power factor characteristics of arc welding machine known as low power factor system with nonlinear property, are shown and evaluated compared to conventional one.

반응성 천공성 교원증은 경미한 외상에 반응하여 발생하고 재발을 잘 하는 피부 질환으로, 중심부가 함몰된 각화성 구진을 특징으로 하며 조직학적으로 변형된 교원섬유가 표피를 통해 제거되는 현상을 나타낸다.후천적으로 당뇨병이나 신부전과 동반되어 나타나기도 한다. 환자는 48세 여자로 5개월전부터 발생된 전신의 소양감을 주소로 내원하였으며, 과거력상 10여년전부터당뇨병과 신부전이 있었으나 특별한 치료없이 지냈다. 피부소견은 전신에 중심부가 함몰된 다수의 소양성구진을 보였고, 조직학적으로 표피는 컵모양의 함몰과 변형된 교원섬유가 표피를 통하여 제거되는 소견을보였다. 치료로는 국소 부신피질 호르몬제와 항히스타민제 경구복용으로 호전을 보였으나 1개월 후 재발되었고 자외선 B를 2회 투사하였다.
Cultural characteristics and phylogenetic relationships based on RFLP analysis in Pleurotus species

Pleurotus has increased rapidly production and consumption because of highly nutritional value, natural healthy food and so on. The basic studies for Pleurotus need for development of mushroom industry. This study was to investigate the cultural characteristics among 15 strains of 6 species and to analyze their phylogenetic relationships. The cultural characteristics were investigated by mycelial growth activity at different media, temperature and pH. The optimum media for mycelial growth were YM and MCM in most species. The optimum temperature for mycelial growth were $25^{\circ}C$ and $30^{\circ}C$. The optimum pH for mycelial growth were widly range from pH 5.1 to 7.4. Through the RFLP (restriction fragment length polymorphism) of IGS (intergenic spacer) I region in ribosomal DNA, it was analyzed phylogeny of interspecies and intraspecies. Each species was discriminated well as isolates within each species formed clade to be distinguished other species. P. florida was highly similar to P. floridanus, and P. flabellatus was P. cornucopiae. P. fuscus var. ferulae was highly similar to P. eryngii but discriminated different species in analysis of RFLP of IGS I region and showed different characteristics in mycelial culture. RFLP of IGS I region was useful of studying phylogenetic relationships of species and population.
Phylogenetic relationships of Pleurotus species based on RAPD analysis

Oyster mushrooms including of P. ostreatus, P. eryngii, P. pulmonarius and P. cornucopiae are one of the famous mushrooms for foods in Korea. RAPD were carried out using 14 of oligoprimers to analyze the phylogenetic relationship among 57 strains of 32 Pleurotus species. Most of species formed the minimum clade with strains within species and was divided respectively species. Therefore clade was separated well in accordance species. Pleurotus species formed again clade to be added in close related to other species, and were discriminated by sixteen clades with each representative species including high similarity groups. Sixteen clades were composed representative species according to each clade. There were clade I of P. pulmonarius(P. sajor-caju, P. opuntiae, P. sapidus), clade II of P. eryngii(P. fuscus var. ferulae, P. fossulatus), clade III of P. ostreatus(P. ostreatus var. columbinus, P. spodoleucus, P. floridanus), clade IV of P. florida, clade V of P. djamor(P. flabellatus, P. incarnates, P. salmoneo-stramineus), clade VII of P. populinus(P. subareolatus), clade VIII of P. cystidiosus(P. cystidiosus var. formosensis), clade X of P. dryinus(P. dryinus var. pometi), clade XIV of P. cornucopiae(P. citrinopilieatus, P. euosmus), and clade XV of P. australis. These species were representative species each clades. Five species, P. ulmarius(clade VI), P. griseus(clade IX), P. calyptratus(clade XI), P. lampas(clade XII), P. smithii(clade XIII)and P. serotinus (clade XVI) were used each one strain in analysis, so they were clustered other groups.
A case of hair foreign body in the sole of a pediatric patient

Patients occasionally present with a hair strand penetrating into a body part after they fail to remove the vertically or obliquely imbedded short hair. However, a long hair strand invading into the skin in a curved shape, parallel to the epidermis, is much more uncommon. The stratum corneum (SC), the outermost skin layer, is stacked up with corneocytes, which act as a physical barrier. Palms and soles have thicker stratum granulosum and SC. However, infant skin has thinner epidermis, and the SC with smaller corneocytes up to the second year of life may be susceptible to foreign body invasion. We report a case in which a 2-year-old boy presented to us with an unusually shaped long hair that had penetrated into the epidermis of the sole. This case provided an opportunity to consider the skin structure and skin development in an infant, whose skin is more vulnerable to foreign body intrusion.
