행렬의 고유치를 계산하는 방법을 가르칠 때 역거듭제곱방법을 소개한다. 이 방법의 알고리즘을 이론적인 면에서 이해하기 쉬운 알고리즘과 계산적인 면에서 효과적인 알고리즘을 비교한다. When teaching on the computing of eigenvalues of a matrix, we introduced the inverse power method. We compared the algorithm which is good for theoretical point of view with that is useful for computational point of view.
탄소/폴리이미드(C/PI) 복합방적사의 제조조건에 따른 특성변화

We have investigated the effects of manufacturing conditions on the morphological structure and physical properties of the carbon-core/polyimide-sheath(C/PI) composite yam manufactured by the DREF 2 friction spinning machine. The C/PI composite yam produced can be applied to the various fields of requiring high strength and high heat resistance, such as gloves, bullet-proof jackets and so on. The results obtained in this study are as follows; Breaking stress and initial modulus of the C/PI composite yams have increasing trends, and breaking strain has decreasing trend with the increase of heating temperature and time. The cohesion of drawn sliver in higher than that of carded sliver, the PC/PI composite yams show the trend that the breaking stress and initial modulus are similar to C/PI composite yams. Moreover, as twist level increases, breakage occurs on the core(carbon filament) and th breaking stress significantly decreases. Peeling strength of PC/PIF composite yams increases, as the bonding force of PET, filament increases with increasing the heating time. Slippage resistance on the sheath of C/PI composite yam increases with increasing heating temperature and time, and surface and cross-section structure of C/PI composite yams have increasing cohesion with the increase of heating temperature and time

With a single hole nozzle of the practical small-type diesel engine as a testing one, the authers experimentally investigated the effects of the nozzle aspect ratio and injection pressure on the dispersion and the spray characteristics of the diesel fuel being injected under the ambient pressure. The spray angie in the period of initial injection has the large measurements in case of the low nozzle aspect ratio, which the fully developed spray has the largest spray angle at the aspect ratio 4. An optimum nozzle aspect ratio for a maximum spray angle exists in the case of a fully developed spray. And the smaller the nozzle sapect ratio, the earlier the transition point of the spray. It is found that the nozzle aspect ratio is a parameter of the greatest significance in the designing of injection system because the nozzle aspect ratio is governing the break-up and atomization characteristics of the diesel spray.

The correlations between the spray tip penetration and the spray angle were investigated by the direct photographic method under the various conditions of injection pressure, ambient gas pressure and preheated fuel. With the increase of ambient gas pressure, the spray tip penetration was decreased and the spray angle was increased. The transition point in the spray tip penetration was observed at the higher ambient gas pressures and strongly depended upon the fuel temperature. The spray angles in the case of preheated fuel were larger than those of non-preheated fuel conditions. Particularly, the spray angle at ambient gas pressure of 1.5 and 3MPa was sharply increased due to the result of change of fuel properties, but the spray tip penetration was decreased. The initial stage of fuel spray showed the form of non-disintegrated intact core, but the formation of ligament increasingly was developed with the increase of th fuel temperature.
Lower and Upper Bounds to Frequencies of Rotating Uniform Beams

A new method(EVF method) is applied to get lower bounds to frequencies of rotating uniform beams which are clamped or simply supported at one end and free at the other. For the upper bounds, the Rayleigh-Ritz method is employed. Numerical results are presented.
Design and Performance Test of Rotary-Wing Micro Aerial Vehicle without Tail Rotor

Hover-capable Rotary wing type micro air vehicle(RMAV) is an alternative for surveillance and rescue mission. especially for military purpose. This research is to develop tailless rotary wing micro air vehicle to perform indoor mission. The RMAV system is composed of single rotor with stabilizer, electric motor with speed control system. anti-torque system. video camera and battery. Without tail rotor, RMAV has the advantage of simple shape but it needs some implements for cancelling the torque produced by main rotor rotation. Since the size of anti-torque vane depend on the size of main rotor and speed. we intend to develop two types of anti-torque vane, one is passive type that has no control surface and the other one with control surface for yaw control. For the flight control, here are two ways to adjust the direction of flight: by control surface and tilting the main motor.
