In this paper, we present a fixed point method to prove the Hyers-Ulam stability of the system of Euler-Lagrange quadratic-quartic functional equations {f(ax(1) + bx(2), y) + f(bx(1) + ax(2), y) + ab f(x(1) - x(2), y) = (a(2) + b(2))[f(x(1), y) + f(x(2), y)] + 4ab f(x(1)+x(2)/2, y), f(x, ay(1) + by(2)) + f(x, by(1) + ay(2)) + 1/2ab(a - b)(2) f(x, y(1) - y(2)) = (a(2) -b(2))(2)[f(x, y(1)) + f(x, y(2))] + 8ab f(x, y(1)+y(2)/2) for all numbers a and b with a + b is not an element of {0, +/- 1}, ab + 2 not equal 2(a + b)(2) and ab(a - b)(2) + 4 not equal 4(a + b)(4) in Archimedean and non-Archimedean Banach spaces and we show that the approximation in non-Archimedean Banach spaces is better than the approximation in (Archimedean) Banach spaces.

Experimental investigation of CO2 capture using sodium hydroxide particles in a fluidized bed
Ahad Ghaemi,Sareh Naeem,Shahrokh Shahhosseini 한국화학공학회 2016 Korean Journal of Chemical Engineering Vol.33 No.4
CO2 capture from air using sodium hydroxide solid sorbent in a laboratory scale fluidized bed reactor was investigated experimentally. The influence of three parameters of temperature, inlet CO2 volume percentage and inlet air flow rate on the CO2 removal rate was studied. Experimental results showed that the optimum rate was at 25 oC when the inlet CO2 volume percentage was 1%. The results also showed that the adsorption process was reactive, and the reaction mechanism depended on the reaction temperature. In addition, empirical observation revealed only one adsorption cycle happened at low temperatures (25-30 oC). As the temperature increased, the second adsorption cycle occurred and, finally, CO2 desorption cycle took place in the range of 90-115 oC.
A Hierarchical Fuzzy System for Modeling Driver’s Behavior
Sehraneh Ghaemi,Sohrab Khanmohammadi,Mohammad Ali Tinati,Mohammad Ali Badamchizadeh 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2012 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.10 No.3
The study of human behavior during driving is of primary importance for improving the driver’s security. In this study, we propose a hierarchical driver_vehicle_environment fuzzy system to analyze driver’s behavior under stress conditions on a road. We include climate, road and car conditions in fuzzy modeling. For obtaining fuzzy rules, experts’ opinions are benefited by means of questionnaires on effects of parameters such as climate, road and car conditions on driving capabilities. The number of fuzzy rules is optimized by Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm. Also the frequency of pressing on brake and gas pedals and the number of car’s direction changes are used to determine the driver’s behavior under different conditions. Three different positions are considered for driving and decision making; one position in driving lane and two positions in opposite lane. A fuzzy model called Model 1 is presented for modeling the change of steering angle and speed control by considering time distances with existing cars in these three positions, the information about the speed and direction of car, and the steering angle of car. The behaviors of different drivers under two stress conditions are investigated. Also we obtained two other models based on fuzzy rules called Model 2 and Model 3 by using Sugeno fuzzy inference. Model 2 has two linguistic terms and Model 3 has four linguistic terms for estimating the time distances with other cars. The results of three models are compared. The com-parative studies have shown that simulation results are in good agreement with the real world situa-tions.
Enhancement in copper ion removal by PPy@Al2O3 polymeric nanocomposite membrane
Negin Ghaemi,Parisa Daraei 한국공업화학회 2016 Journal of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry Vol.40 No.-
g-Al2O3 nanoparticles were coated with PPy via an in situ polymerization reaction. 0.01, 0.1 and 1.0 wt.%of PPy@Al2O3 nanoparticles were introduced into polyethersulfone (PES) flat sheet membrane to seekthe adsorptive capability of nanocomposite membrane in removing copper ion from water. Nanocomposite membranes were prepared using phase inversion method. It was revealed thatPPy@Al2O3 could significantly promote copper removal superiorly in membrane mixed with 1.0 wt.%PPycoated alumina nanoparticles. Showing higher water flux in comparison with pristine PES, acceptablepermeation was achieved with a partial decrease compared to the neat alumina mixed membrane.

Dolomite, a natural adsorbent, was used for removal of Ag(I), Cu(II) and Co(II) from aqueous solutions. Adsorption parameters including pH, temperature and contact time have been investigated to obtain adsorption mechanism. The results of experiments showed that adsorption of the metal ions increased by increasing pH values up to 5.5. The adsorption process was initially fast. Equilibrium isotherm data were analyzed using Langmuir, Freundlich and Dubinin-Radushkevich isotherm models. Maximum adsorption capacity of Ag(I), Cu(II) and Co(II) was 1.34, 1.63and 2.84 mg/g at 20 oC, respectively. Kinetic models including Lagergren first-order and pseudo-second-order were used to test kinetic data. The results showed that pseudo-second-order has good agreement with experimental data. Thermodynamic parameters of the process were also investigated at different temperatures. The negative values of Gibbs free energy and enthalpy changes for Ag(I), Cu(II) and Co(II) indicated the spontaneous and exothermic nature of the adsorption process.

A series of novel polyamides (PAs) bearing substituted carbazole and imidazole rings in the main-chain were successfully synthesized via direct phosphorylation polycondensation between a new diamine, 5,5'-(9-octyl-carbazole-3,6-diyl)bis[4-phenyl-2-(4-amino-phenyl)-1H-imidazole], and various commercially available dicarboxylic acids. All intermediates and polymers were fully characterized by FTIR, NMR, and elemental analysis. These polymers were obtained in good yields with inherent viscosities of 0.42-0.55 dL/g and number average molecular weights (Mn)in the range of 24,875-31,720 g/mol molecular weight distribution (MWD=1.57-2.5). They exhibited excellent solubility in common polar aprotic organic solvents. These polymers had high glass transition temperatures (Tg)s (204-309 oC) and their temperatures at 10% weight loss (T10%) were found to be in the range of 404-511 oC in nitrogen. They exhibited strong UV absorption with maxima at 320-335 nm, and their photoluminescence (PL) efficiency was affected by their chemical structure; PL quantum yields were in the range of 4%-34%. The aliphatic PAs emitted blue light at λe.max=465 nm, while the aromatic PAs emitted green light at λe.max=490-510 nm in NMP solution.
