Hardware Implementation of Pulse Code Modulation Speech Compression Algorithm
Geetam Singh Tomar 사단법인 인문사회과학기술융합학회 2012 예술인문사회융합멀티미디어논문지 Vol.2 No.1
Voice-over Internet Protocol (VoIP) telephony is increasingly becoming a variant telecommunication technology that one day may surpass the old analog and digital telephone systems. The Quality-of-Service (QoS) factor is an important parameter to be considered when measuring the performance of a VoIP system. Many factors may influence the QoS of a given VoIP system. Some of these factors are delay, jitter and packet loss. This paper served to demonstrate that the algorithmic delay (latency) of the Pulse Code Modulation (PCM) speech compression algorithm which has originally been implemented in software can be significantly reduced by implementation in hardware. The PCM speech compression algorithm is first implemented, verified to demonstrate equivalence and then validated by comparing the latency of the hardware-implemented speech compression algorithm with that of an existing software implementation.
Design of Grooved Microstrip Patch Resonator Filters for Mobile Communication
Vivek Singh Kushwah,Geetam Singh Tomar,Sarita Singh Bhadauria 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Future Generation Communi Vol.9 No.5
In advanced communication technology the microstrip filter has an important job in terms of selectivity and elimination of the undesired signals. In microwave and RF frequency applications the design of filter is complex task as lumped components cannot be used in this range of frequency. Microstrip filters are always preferred over the lumped filters at larger frequency for their compact size, lighter weight, lower cost and higher performance. In this paper the design of grooved microstrip patch resonator band-pass filter is presented at mid-band frequency 1.8 GHz for L-Band applications. It also acts as a band-reject filter at center frequency 1.1 GHz, which is innovative concept in microstrip filter design. Band-pass filter has a high attenuation in stop band, small insertion loss of 0.5744 dB and high return loss of 26.52 dB in the pass band whereas Band-reject filter has a low attenuation, high insertion loss of 21.95 dB and low return loss of 0.2432 dB in the stop band. The result is encouraging and fabrication is also very easy.

Secure Linear Feedback Shift Register based IPv6 in VANET
Abhishek singh,Shekhar Verma,Geetam Singh Tomar 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Security and Its Applicat Vol.10 No.2
In this paper, Linear Feedback Shift Register (LFSR) based IPv6 address generation has been proposed for low IP acquisition time during handoff in Vehicular Adhoc Networks (VANET). The mechanism reduces handoff latency and packet loss rate by removing link layer address conflict and duplicate address detection (DAD). VANETs are characteristics by frequent handoffs that need regular address reconfiguration which increases the handoff latency. The latency increases further due to the need for DAD to prevent link layer address conflict. LFSR based IPv6 in VANET decreases the address reconfiguration time and handoff latency by providing a unique seed value in Router Advertisement (RA) which is generated through modified LFSR algorithm and is combined with vehicle’s MAC ID to give a unique host ID. Since the mechanism is able to generate different unique host ID for same MAC ID, it eliminates the need of DAD by minimizing the probability of link layer address conflict to a negligible value. This also increases the IP configuration scalability. The algorithm only modifies the control signal RA and does not require any change in the VANET architecture. Simulation results confirm that this mechanism performs better than Mobile IPv6 (MIPv6) and can be incorporated as a standard IP acquisition technique for high mobility networks like VANET.

Two-Phase Detector for Spectrum Sensing in Cognitive Radio Networks
Jyotshana Kanti,Geetam Singh Tomar 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Signal Processing, Image Vol.9 No.7
Spectrum sensing is one of the key functions of cognitive radio networks (CRN), which senses licensed band for CR users. This paper introduces a two phase detector, carries a weighted-energy detector (W-ED) and a correlated-generalized likelihood ratio test (C-GLRT). In first phase, we identify the energy and then if required, the C-GLRT makes the final decision in second phase. Performance of the proposed two phase detector is compared with the existing energy detector (ED), generalized likelihood ratio test (GLRT), and adaptive spectrum Sensing (ASS) detectors.

Transformation of Image from Color to Gray Scale Using Contrast among DPCM and LMS Method
Ranbeer Tyagi,Geetam Singh Tomar 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Signal Processing, Image Vol.9 No.8
The solitary greatest mounting investigate fields in the pasture of hypermedia technicality is the transformation of color to grayscale. This paper represents the transformation of color to grayscale with small amount of ASD and PMSE. The unexploited bit may be removing by means of the Differential pulse code modulation (DPCM) in the image for image transformation. We contrast the transformation of image for 1 as well as 3, segments average square distortion and estimation error using DPCM with permanent coefficient and DPCM with LMS algorithm. The outcome are presented which show LMS may present less average square distortion (ASD) and prediction mean square error (PMSE) in transformed image contrast to DPCM with good visual quality. The LMS method was replicated by means of Mat-lab among appreciated to the claim of image exchange contrast by means of DPCM through LMS method. Simple to execute and computationally not expensive is LMS Method. It facet makes the LMS gorgeous designed for image transfer contrast to only DPCM. It is found that a supplementary discriminating grayscale image as compared to established methods converges by the wished-for method.
