A Way of Candidate Set Selection for Epidemic Routing in Delay Tolerate Networks
Fuquan Zhang,Kaiqi Chen,Inwhee Joe,Demin Gao,Yunfei Liu 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Future Generation Communi Vol.9 No.10
The radio propagation effect of fading or shadowing between mobile nodes has not been well considered in contact rate. One way to incorporate interference into contact rate is multiplied by probability that the infected node copies the message to the susceptible node during a contact in epidemic routing. In this paper, we develop a model to incorporate the wireless link reliability into contact rate. For application, we proposed a scheme for epidemical delay tolerate network with considering the effects based on the model. Simulation shows that proposed scheme has better performance.

With the wide application of hyperspectral images, it becomes more and more important to compress hyperspectral images. Conventional recursive least squares (CRLS) algorithm has great potentiality in lossless compression for hyperspectral images. The prediction accuracy of CRLS is closely related to the correlations between the reference bands and the current band, and the similarity between pixels in prediction context. According to this characteristic, we present an improved CRLS with adaptive band selection and adaptive predictor selection (CRLS-ABS-APS). Firstly, a spectral vector correlation coefficient-based k-means clustering algorithm is employed to generate clustering map. Afterwards, an adaptive band selection strategy based on inter-spectral correlation coefficient is adopted to select the reference bands for each band. Then, an adaptive predictor selection strategy based on clustering map is adopted to select the optimal CRLS predictor for each pixel. In addition, a double snake scan mode is used to further improve the similarity of prediction context, and a recursive average estimation method is used to accelerate the local average calculation. Finally, the prediction residuals are entropy encoded by arithmetic encoder. Experiments on the Airborne Visible Infrared Imaging Spectrometer (AVIRIS) 2006 data set show that the CRLS-ABS-APS achieves average bit rates of 3.28 bpp, 5.55 bpp and 2.39 bpp on the three subsets, respectively. The results indicate that the CRLS-ABS-APS effectively improves the compression effect with lower computation complexity, and outperforms to the current state-of-the-art methods.

PRoPHET (probability routing protocol using history of encounters and transitivity) reduces the invalid copy of message, so that effectively reduce the network overhead and the traffic load in the network. However, the calculation of probability in Prophet does not consider the network conditions. In this paper, we improve the performance of PRoPHET protocol by taking into account connection status to calculate nodes’ encountering probability. The performance of the proposed protocol was analyzed in terms of delivery probability, average delay, and overhead ratio. Numerical results show that the proposed protocol can improve the performance to some extend.
A Tier-Based Duty-Cycling Scheme for Forest Monitoring
Fuquan Zhang,Deming Gao,조인휘 한국정보처리학회 2017 Journal of information processing systems Vol.13 No.5
Wireless sensor networks for forest monitoring are typically deployed in fields in which manual interventioncannot be easily accessed. An interesting approach to extending the lifetime of sensor nodes is the use ofenergy harvested from the environment. Design constraints are application-dependent and based on themonitored environment in which the energy harvesting takes place. To reduce energy consumption, wedesigned a power management scheme that combines dynamic duty cycle scheduling at the network layer toplan node duty time. The dynamic duty cycle scheduling is realized based on a tier structure in which thenetwork is concentrically organized around the sink node. In addition, the multi-paths preserved in the tierstructure can be used to deliver residual packets when a path failure occurs. Experimental results show thatthe proposed method has a better performance.
Measurement and Application of Link Reliability for Wireless Mobile Networks
Fuquan Zhang,Inwhee Joe,Demin Gao,Yunfei Liu 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Multimedia and Ubiquitous Vol.11 No.6
Radio channel characteristics of mobile nodes are quite different compared with the traditional stationary base station to mobile radio channel. Wireless link reliability estimation is necessary for self-organization of wireless mobile multihop networks. In this paper, we measure narrowband path loss measurements in a typical mobile-to-mobile radio environment. For application, we proposed a method to incorporate link reliability into path reliability evaluation and selection for multipath routing in wireless mobile networks. Simulations show that the proposed method has better performance.

We have identified three Microbacterium strains, A18JL200T, NY27T, and WY121T, that produce C50 carotenoids. Taxonomy shows they represent three novel species. These strains shared < 98.5% 16S rRNA gene sequence identity with each other and were closely related to Microbacterium aquimaris JCM 15625T, Microbacterium yannicii JCM 18959T, Microbacterium ureisolvens CFH S00084T, and Microbacterium hibisci CCTCC AB 2016180T. Digital DNA-DNA hybridization (dDDH) values and average nucleotide identity (ANI) showed differences among the three strains and from their closest relatives, with values ranging from 20.4% to 34.6% and 75.5% to 87.6%, respectively. These values are below the threshold for species discrimination. Both morphology and physiology also differed from those of phylogenetically related Microbacterium species, supporting that they are indeed novel species. These strains produce C50 carotenoids (mainly decaprenoxanthin). Among the three novel species, A18JL200T had the highest total yield in carotenoids (6.1 mg/L or 1.2 mg/g dry cell weight). Unusual dual isoprenoid biosynthetic pathways (methylerythritol phosphate and mevalonate pathways) were annotated for strain A18JL200T. In summary, we found strains of the genus Microbacterium that are potential producers of C50 carotenoids, but their genome has to be investigated further.

In order to study the effect of front and rear anti-roll bar’s stiffness on vehicle’s handling stability, the structure and force of the anti-roll bar are analysed, and the vehicle’s rolling model, simplified car motion model and multi-body dynamics model of a car are established. The influence of stiffness change of the anti-roll bar on understeer of the vehicle is studied by constant radius cornering simulation. In swept-sine steering input simulation, the influence of stiffness change of the anti-roll bar on the response indexes of swept-sine steering input simulation are studied, the rule of these indexes changing with stiffness of anti-roll bar is obtained. It is found at high frequencies, due to the damping effect of the system, the influence of stiffness change on yaw rate gain is opposite to that of low frequency. In step steer input simulation, the influence of stiffness change of anti-roll bar on lateral acceleration and transition time are studied. Finally, this paper matches the stiffness of front and rear anti-roll bars of the vehicle based on swept sine steering input simulation. The results show that the handling stability of the vehicle becomes relatively better after the stiffness of the anti-roll bars is matched.

Wireless sensor network has a rapid growth in both science research and commercial development as well as been widely used in a variety of realms. Facing different kinds of challenging issues of WSNs, the deployment of nodes stands out for it has a critical influence on area or target coverage, network connectivity, network lifetime, etc. This paper explores classifications of node and deployment strategies from different angles, weighing their pros and cons and analyzing its impacts on the performance of a WSN.
