Background The retinal vascular endothelial cells can be damaged by oxidative stress even in the early stage of diabetic retinopathy (DR). This study aimed to investigate the protective effect of curcumin on the rat retinal vascular endothelial cells (RRVECs) in high glucose circumstance. Objective The cultured RRVECs were identified and characterized by both of vWF and CD31 immunofluorescence expression. The activation of ROS/NF-κB signal pathway was examined by electrophoretic Mobility Shift Assay (EMSA), immunohistochemistry and Western blot; the apoptosis of RRVECs was tested by flow cytometry. Results We found that curcumin reduced the reactive oxygen species (ROS) and relieved the apoptosis in RRVECs exposed to the high glucose by flow cytometry. It was revealed that the increased activity of NF-κB and phosphorylated NF-κB in RRVECs induced by high glucose concentration was significantly suppressed by curcumin. Conclusion We concluded that curcumin could suppress the oxidative stress via regulation of NF-κB signal to protect the RRVECs in DR. Analysis of Half Halbach Array Configurations in Linear Permanent-Magnet Vernier Machine
Fangfang Bian,Wenxiang Zhao,Jinghua Ji,Liang Xu 한국자기학회 2017 Journal of Magnetics Vol.22 No.3
Due to the high efficiency, high force capability and low cost, the linear permanent-magnet (PM) vernier (LPMV) machine is very suitable for long stroke applications such as urban rail transits. This paper proposes the LPMV machines with various topologies of half Halbach PM array, and investigates their electromagnetic performances, such as back electromotive force, force capability, PM eddy current loss and iron loss. Firstly, the configuration and operation principle of the LPMV machines are presented. By using the finite element method, it can be known that the LPMV machine with half Halbach PM array in the armature core exhibits high thrust and low detent force. Then, the demagnetizations of half PM array are analyzed to guarantee the security and credibility of the machine in operation. Finally, the effectiveness of the theoretical analysis is validated by the experiments on a prototype of the LPMV machine.

In the paper, the chaos least squares support vector machine algorithm (Chaos-LS-SVM) is applied. To conduct uncertainty analysis of wind power forecasting, two forecasting algorithms of the probabilistic uncertainty analysis based on the Monte Carlo method and the quantile regression analysis based on Chaos-LS-SVM are discussed. The effectiveness and superiority of the two uncertainty analysis methods in the confidence level of 95%, 90%, and 85% are discussed by simulation analysis, and the confidence interval is given in the corresponding confidence level. The prediction interval coverage probability (PICP) and the prediction interval normalized average width (PINAW) of the two uncertainty methods are compared. In the time scale of 1h-ahead, 4h-ahead, and 6h-ahead, the probabilistic uncertainty analysis based on the Monte Carlo method is suitable. In the time scale of 24h-ahead, the quantile regression analysis based on Chaos-LS-SVM is superior.
Sharing and Privacy in PHRs: Efficient Policy Hiding and Update Attribute-based Encryption
( Zhenhua Liu ),( Jiaqi Ji ),( Fangfang Yin ),( Baocang Wang ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2021 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.15 No.1
Personal health records (PHRs) is an electronic medical system that enables patients to acquire, manage and share their health data. Nevertheless, data confidentiality and user privacy in PHRs have not been handled completely. As a fine-grained access control over health data, ciphertext-policy attribute-based encryption (CP-ABE) has an ability to guarantee data confidentiality. However, existing CP-ABE solutions for PHRs are facing some new challenges in access control, such as policy privacy disclosure and dynamic policy update. In terms of addressing these problems, we propose a privacy protection and dynamic share system (PPADS) based on CP-ABE for PHRs, which supports full policy hiding and flexible access control. In the system, attribute information of access policy is fully hidden by attribute bloom filter. Moreover, data user produces a transforming key for the PHRs Cloud to change access policy dynamically. Furthermore, relied on security analysis, PPADS is selectively secure under standard model. Finally, the performance comparisons and simulation results demonstrate that PPADS is suitable for PHRs.
