Synthesis and properties of sol-gel derived transparent ZnO thin films: Effect of indium doping

High quality and transparent indium doped ZnO (IZO) thin films were deposited on glass substrates by sol-gel spin coatingmethod. Zinc acetate and indium (III) chloride were used as precursor solution materials. Structural, morphological, andoptical properties of the films were investigated as a function of indium doping ranging from 0.5% to 2.0 at % by X-raydiffraction, scanning electron microscopy, transmission and energy dispersive X-ray techniques. The films had polycrystallinenature and exhibited a hexagonal wurtzite structure with preferred c-axis orientation. The film surfaces exhibited uniformparticle-like and granular morphologies. The optical transmittance spectra of the undoped ZnO and IZO films were taken inthe wavelength ranging from 350-1000 nm. The transmittance IZO films compared to undoped ZnO has increased withincreasing indium content. The chemical composition of the films indicated the presence of indium element in the ZnO films. These results make IZO thin films an attractive candidate for transparent material applications such as solar cells.
Double-imprinted potentiometric sensors based on ligand exchange for the determination of dimethoate

This paper describes a dimethoate imprinted polymeric potentiometric sensor for the determination of dimethoate that was designed by dispersing the dimethoate-imprinted polymer in dibutyl phthalate plasticizer and then embedded in polyvinyl chloride matrix. The method is based on molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP), which can be synthesized by using dimethoate as a template molecule, chitosan-Cd(II), and 3-mercaptopropyl-trimethoxysilane as a functional monomer and TEOS, and ephychlorohydrin as a cross-linking agent. We have studied a method for the selective binding behavior of dimethoate compounds on the surface of imprinted polymers which is prepared using ligand-exchange (LE) (chitosan-Cd(II)) monomer. The MIP-LE-1 and MIP-LE-2 based membranes have shown a detection limit of 4.3×10−6mmolL−1 and 3.5.10−5 mmolL−1, respectively. The sensor has exhibited a response time of 35min for MIP-LE-1 and 120min for MIP-LE-2. They are stable for more than three months.
Ultrafine Portland Cement Grouting Performance with or without Additives

The aim of this experimental study was to investigate the penetrability of ultrafine Portland cement suspensions with or without additives into sand specimens and the strength and permeability of grouted sand samples. It was shown that ultrafine Portland cement grouts with dispersive agent could be used to treat not only medium to fine sand but also 100% fine sand where chemical grouts can only penetrate The basic rheological properties of ultrafine Portland cement suspensions with or without additives were studied. The penetration performance of suspensions into various graded medium to fine sand specimens prepared at different relative densities was examined. The unconfined compressive strength and the permeability characteristics of sand specimens permeated with ultrafine Portland cement suspensions with or without additives were searched at different time intervals.
뇌졸중 후 강직(spasticity) 평가를 위한 Tone Assessment Scale의 신뢰도

The purpose of this study was to establish reliability of the Tone Assessment Scale (TAS) translated into Korean in patients with stroke. The TAS consists of resting posture, response to passive movement, and associated reaction to active effort. Fifteen patients (14 males, 1 female) were examined by two raters. Surface electromyography (EMG) data at elbow flexor muscle and joint excursion were collected from 6 patients. To identify the correlation between muscle activity and angular changes of elbow muscle, Pearson product moment correlation was used. The inter-rater and intra-rater reliability of the TAS ranged from very good to good (K/Kw=.61∼1.00 for intra-rater and K/Kw=.73∼1.00 for intra-rater comparisons) in the sections of resting posture and associated reaction. However, in the section of response to passive movement, the reliability coefficients ranged from very good to fair (Kw=.29~1.00). In the 11th item, correlation between EMG ratio of elbow flexor and angular changes of elbow joint showed statistically strong positive relationship(r=.94, p<.05). These results indicate that the TAS is selectively reliable in the sections of resting posture and associated reaction.
Optimization of hybrid composite plates using Tsai-Wu Criteria

In this study, previously developed algorithm is used for Optimization of hybrid composite plates using Tsai-Wu criteria. For the stress-based Design Optimization problems, Von-Mises stress uses as design variable for isotropic materials. Maximum stress, maximum strain, Tsai Hill, and Tsai-Wu criteria are generally used to determine failure of composite materials. In this study, failure index value is used as design variable in the optimization algorithm and Tsai-Wu criteria is utilized to calculate this value. In the analyses, commonly used design domains according to different hybrid orientations are optimized and results are presented. When the optimization algorithm was applied, 50% material reduction was obtained without exceeding allowable failure index value.

symptoms of PG [3-5]. Patients presenting with PG should be carefully examined for an underlying hematological malignancy with detailed anamnesis, a physical examination, and laboratory testing. HCL can be easily diagnosed in patients with pancytopenia, splenomegaly, and typical hairy cells, and skin ulcers can be related to PG, as in our patient. Although the histopathological changes are not specific to PG, biopsies of the lesions must be performed, as these lesions can also be related to infiltration of leukemic cells. Once HCL and PG are diagnosed, the main treatment target should be HCL, as PG will completely recover in a few months with the successful treatment of HCL using cladribine, as in our patient.
