        Preparation of Nano-Fe3O4/Nylon Composite Fabric with Magnetic Properties by Post Finishing Method

        In this paper, the functional nano-Fe3O4 composite fabrics with good magnetic properties were fabricated througha combined chemical co-precipitation and finishing method. The particle size and magnetic properties of Fe3O4 weremeasured using Malvern Laser Particle Size Analyzer and vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM), respectivily. Thestructure, magnetic flux and mechanical property of the composite fabric were characterized by Fourier infrared spectrometry(FT-IR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), Tesla meter and Instron electronic tensile machine. The particle-size of prepared Fe3O4 isnano-scale and has excellent magnetic properties. The nano-Fe3O4/nylon composite fabrics have good magnetism,mechanical property and water repellency. The maximum magnetic flux of nano-Fe3O4 composite fabric is 2.4 mT.

        Prevalence, Risk Factors, and Psychological Effects of Primary Nocturnal Enuresis in Chinese Young Adults

        Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the prevalence, risk factors, and effects of primary nocturnal enuresis (PNE) on physical and mental health in young adults in mainland China. Methods: An anonymous questionnaire was used to collect information including the sociodemographic characteristics, history of PNE, family history, daytime voiding symptoms, Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) scores, Self-Esteem Scale (SES), and Self-Rating Depression Scale (SDS). A total of 22,500 university students from 23 provinces and 368 cities in mainland China were included. Results: In total, 21,082 questionnaires were collected, and 20,345 of them qualified for statistical analysis. The PNE prevalence was 1.17%, and the distribution of monosymptomatic nocturnal enuresis (MNE) and nonmonosymptomatic nocturnal enuresis (NMNE) was 66.1% and 33.9%, respectively. In total, 28% of respondents with PNE reported bedwetting daily, 31.6% between 1 and 7 times weekly, and 40.4% between 1 and 4 times monthly; 80% of PNE cases had no history of treatment. The prevalence of PNE in patients with a family history, frequency, urgency, urinary incontinence, and recurrent urinary tract infections was significantly higher than in those without these conditions (P<0.001). PNE was significantly correlated with the PSQI total score (sleep quality) (P=0.011). The SES score was lower and the SDS was higher (P<0.001) in the PNE group than in those without PNE. Conclusions: In mainland China, the PNE prevalence among young adults was found to be high, and PNE had significant effects on physical and mental health. Risk factors included a family history, daytime voiding symptoms, and lack of treatment.

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Field-flow fractionation (FFF), a gentle tool for separation and characterization of macromolecules and particles, has attracted increasing interest in recent years due to its broad dynamic size range and the utilization of an “open channel” void of packing materials or stationary phase. In this review, the theoretical principle of FFF separation (such as retention ratio and external force) is described. The FFF sub-techniques based on the type of the external force employed are presented. Sample physical properties directly measured by FFF sub-techniques are summarized. This paper will critically review the applications of FFF in the field of biomedicine, especially those reported in the last five years.</P>

        Residual current fault type recognition based on S3VM and KNN cooperative training

        It is difficult to detect the residual current of specific fault types in low-voltage distribution networks, which results in few labeled residual current samples. Thus, it is difficult to recognize the fault types of residual current. To solve this problem, a cooperative training classification model based on an improved squirrel search algorithm (ISSA) for a semi-supervised support vector machine (S3VM) and the k-nearest neighbor (KNN) is proposed (ISSA-S3VM-KNN). First, the residual current is decomposed into k intrinsic mode functions (IMFs) by variational mode decomposition (VMD), and the characteristic parameters of the IMFs are extracted to obtain a characteristic dataset for establishing a classification model. Second, to solve the problem where it is difficult to the select parameters (such as the penalty factors, slack variables and kernel function) of a S3VM, an ISSA parameter optimization method is proposed to self-adaptively select the optimal combination of parameters for the S3VM. Finally, the KNN is used to verify the classification results of an ISSA-S3VM through cooperative training, which further improves the classification accuracy of the S3VM for unlabeled residual current samples. Classification results of measured and simulation data show that the classification accuracy of the ISSA-S3VM-KNN is higher than that of the SVM-BPNN, WE-AE-BPNN, and PSO-SVM. The ISSA-S3VM-KNN provides a certain theoretical basis for achieving fast and accurate residual current fault type recognition.

      • The Improvement of the Design Standard of Overloaded Highway

        With the development of the transportation industry, the trend of overload is obviously, design load of highway bridges needs to be improved. Based on the field investigation and data analysis, this study modifies the design standers of highway. The regularities on characteristics of models, vehicle weight and the distribution of axle load and spacing were studied. Using the Matlab programming language and the Monte Carlo numerical simulation method to simulate a random traffic model, then loaded on simple bridges and continuous bridges with different span in order to calculate bending effect. The data were compared with the first level in highway load code and proposed the load increase parameters: when the span is less than 20 m, then use 1.2 times the standard specification in bridge design; in other situation, use 1.3 times the standard factor. Analyzing the characteristic of the vehicle load, can not only give technical parameters for the quantitative analysis of overloading traffic effects on the fatigue damage of bridge, but also provide a reference for bridge design units and the operation management department. So it has great realistic significance and research value.

        UHV/CVD i-Si epitaxy and ion implantation doping for sub-micrometer N−Collector of SiGeHBT

        A method for sub-micrometer N−collector layer fabricated by Ultra-High Vacuum Chemical Vapor Deposition i-Si epitaxy and ion implantation doping is presented in this paper. The characteristics of this sub-micrometer N−collector layer are investigated. The Spreading Resistance Probe figures show that the transition region of the N−collector dopant profile is steep and the measure by an Atomic Force Microscope shows that the surface roughness is strongly related to the growth condition of the i-Si. The rocking curve by X-Ray Diffraction and the performance of SiGe Heterojunction Bipolar Transistor device demonstrate the good quality of the SiGe layer grown on this kind of N−collector layer. The BVcbo of the SiGeHBT with this sub-micrometer N−collector is 23.5V high, and the fT is 11 GHz.         Meta-Analysis of the SLCO1B1 c.521T>C Variant Reveals Slight Influence on the Lipid-Lowering Efficacy of Statins

        Background: Several studies have focused on the association between the lipid-lowering efficacy of statins and the SLCO1B1 c.521T>C polymorphism; however, the results are conflicting. The effects of statins show significant variability between individuals. This meta-analysis aimed to investigate the effects of the SLCO1B1 c.521T>C polymorphism on the lipid-lowering effects of statins. Methods: We systematically searched PubMed and Web of Science to screen relevant studies. Meta-analysis was performed to identify the association between SLCO1B1 c.521 polymorphisms and the lipid-lowering effects of statinson the basis of the standard mean difference (SMD) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs). Additionally, we checked for heterogeneity (I2) among studies and evidence of publication bias. We obtained eight studies including 2,012 wild genotype (T/T) and 526 variant genotype (T/C and C/C) cases. Results: No significant difference was observed in the lipid-lowering efficacy of statins between the wildand variant genotypes of SLCO1B1, with a pooled SMD of 0.03 (95% CI: -0.07-0.13). Furthermore, there was no significant effect in the meta-analyses of the variant heterozygote, homozygote, and Chinese populations. Subgroup meta-analysis indicated that the timerequired for the statin to take effectdid notsignificantly affect the association between lipid-lowering efficacy of statins and SLCO1B1 c.521T>C polymorphism. However, thewild genotype improved the lipid-lowering efficacy of simvastatin with a pooled SMD of -0.26 (95% CI: -0.47- -0.05). Conclusions: No significant association was detected between the lipid-lowering efficacy of statins and the SLCO1B1 c.521T>C polymorphism, with the exception of simvastatin.

      • Implementation of DSTFCs in MIMO MB-IR-UWB System

        This paper implements differential space-time-frequency codes (DSTFCS) to multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO), multi-band impulse radio ultra-wideband (MB-IR-UWB) system. Four scenarios of the system operating mode have been put forward and combination of DSTFCs and the system has been studied in this paper. Through simulation, a comparison of BER performance among different scenarios and channel statements is analyzed. In addition, considered inter-symbol interference (ISI), the simulation on system with ISI and without ISI is given. Finally the conclusion that scenario 3 is more suitable to the proposed MIMO MB-IR-UWB system for it being less sensitive to ISI has been drawn.

        Synthesis of Uniform Polyaniline Nanosheets and Nanotubes: Dependence of Morphology on the pH

        Polyaniline (PANI) nanomaterials were synthesized by simplified template-free method with ammonium persulfate (APS) as an oxidant. The strong dependence of morphology of polyaniline on the initial pH of the reaction solution has been found. PANI morphology transformed from nanosheets to nanotubes with the decreasing initial pH from 6.70~6.50 to 5.30~5.00, and nanotubes changed further to irregular granules with the decreasing pH lower than 2.26. Polyaniline nanosheets were highly crystalline (2θ=6.2°) but poor in conductivity (5.7×10-5 S/cm) and electroactivity due to low doping level. Though polyaniline nanotubes were poorly crystalline, it had a relative high conductivity (3.4×10-2 S/cm) and maintained the electroactivity in acidic and neutral media which had potential applications in biomedical fields such as tissue engineering and biosensor.
