Numerical analysis is performed to find flow and heat transfer characteristics for ring type heat exchanger. 3-D numerical predictions are carried out for the ring type heat exchanger system with Reynolds number varying in the range of 1,000 and 10,000. From the prediction, streamwise velocity, pressure drop, flow rate and heat transfer coefficient are analyzed. It is also found that characteristics of pressure drop and heat transfer generally follow well proportional variations of Re<SUP>m</SUP>for the wide range of Reynolds number considered in this study.
Complete Nucleotide Sequence of Type ⅢPseudogene for Human Cytochrome b5

From a human genomic library, a processed pseudogene for cytochrome b_5 was isolated and its complete nucleotide sequence was determined. Homology between this pseudogene and human cytochrome b_5 mRNA is 76.5%. This pseudogene is also different from the previously reported ones. It turned out to be nonfunctional due to the presence of many mutations such as base substitutions, deletions and insertions. The short stretches of repetitive sequence were identified at both 5` and 3` ends, indicating that this gene originated from reverse transcription of human cytochrome b_5 mRNA by retroviral activity.
MEMS 공정을 이용하지 않는 미세구조물 제작에 관한 연구

본 연구에서는 일반적인 미세구조물 제작공정인 lithography 공정을 이용하지 않고 SLS(Selective Laser Sintering)형 RP(Rapid Prototyping System)을 이용하여 패턴의 깊이가 400 ㎛인 미세구조물을 제작하였다. 제작 공정변수 중 재료의 상태가 new powder 이고 배치각이 0° 일 때 패턴의 깊이, 선폭과 표면조도가 가장 잘 구현되었다.
