강원남부 폐광지역 개발기금 사업의 경제적 효과 : 2001~2021년간의 기금사업을 중심으로

본 논문은 2001년부터 2021년 기간의 강원남부 폐광지역 4개 시군을 대상으로 전개된 폐광지역개발기금 투자의 경제적 파급효과를 실증적으로 분석함을 목적으로 한다. 이 기간 동안 연차별 투자 건수 1,220개로 구성된 691개의 재원 사업이 이행되었다. 분석대상 기간 동안 연차별로 투자된 재원의 합계는 총 1조 6,180.5억원이며, 지역산업연관분석을 통해 실증적으로 경제적 파급효과를 도출하는 것이 본고의 목적이다. 폐광지역개발기금의 투자금액의 면에서 보면, 대체로 생산유발효과가 상대적으로 낮은 3차산업 부문에 대한 재원의 비중이 큰 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 다른 한편으로 고려해야 할 점은 3차산업 부문의 취업유발효과가 이 지역에서 타 산업에 비해 높다는 점이다. 이러한 산업구조적 특성을 토대로 향후 폐광지역개발기금 사업의 경제적 효과를 최적화시키기 위해서는 유발계수 값의 분포를 고려한 재원의 배분 계획을 마련할 필요가 있다. 본고의 추정결과는 향후 폐광지역 개발기금의 합리적인 배분을 위한 실증적 기초 자료로서의 역할을 할 것으로 기대된다. This study aimed to analyze the economic effects of the closed mine area development fund on the southern part of the Gangwon provinces during the period 2001~2021. In this time frame, 691 financial projects comprising 1,220 items in the annual base were carried out and the total amount of investment was 1,618.05 billion Won. The main goal of this study was to derive empirical evidence about the economic effect of this fund through the regional industrial input-output tables. An analysis of the distribution of financial resources available to the specific fields revealed that the portion of funds invested in the tertiary industry sector has a low production inducement effect, which was not comparable with other industries. However, the movement of the employment inducement coefficient of tertiary industries led by the services sector in this area is comparatively high. Based on the regional character of the industrial structure, it is necessary to make a deliberate funds distribution plan taking the movement of the above inducement coefficients into consideration, to optimize the economic effect of the closed mine area development fund. The empirical output derived from this study would assist policymakers in establishing an effective distribution strategy for the closed mine area development fund in the future.

<P>Porcine circovirus type 2 (PCV2) is the main aetiological agent of postweaning multisystemic wasting syndrome. The mechanism of pathogenicity associated with PCV2 infection is still not fully understood. Nevertheless, the fact that large amounts of proinflammatory cytokines within lymphoid tissues are released during the early stage of PCV2 infection may induce chronic inflammatory responses followed by the destruction of lymphoid tissues. However, how PCV2 infection causes an excessive inflammatory response in the host immune system during the early stage of PCV2 infection has still not been elucidated. In this study, we show that direct interaction between the PCV2 ORF3 and regulator of G protein signalling 16 (RGS16) within the cytoplasm of host cells leads to ubiquitin-mediated proteasomal degradation of RGS16. Facilitated degradation of the RGS16 by PCV2 ORF3 further enhances NFκB translocation into the nucleus through the ERK1/2 signalling pathway and increased IL-6 and IL-8 mRNA transcripts. Consequently, more severe inflammatory responses and leukocyte infiltration occur around host cells. This evidence may be the first clue explaining the molecular basis of how excessive amounts of proinflammatory cytokines within lymphoid tissues are released during the early stage of PCV2 infection.</P>

Laparoscopic live donor nephrectomy (DN) has been established as a useful alternative to the traditional open methods of procuring kidneys. To maximize the advantages of the laparoendoscopic single-site (LESS) method, we applied natural orifice specimen extraction to LESS-DN. A 46-year-old woman with no previous abdominal surgery history volunteered to donate her left kidney to her husband and underwent single-port laparoscopic DN with transvaginal extraction. The procedure was completed without intraoperative complications. The kidney functioned well immediately after transplantation, and the donor and recipient were respectively discharged 2 days and 2 weeks postoperatively. Single-port laparoscopic DN and transvaginal graft extraction is feasible and safe.
PELI1 Selectively Targets Kinase-Active RIP3 for Ubiquitylation-Dependent Proteasomal Degradation

<P><B>Summary</B></P> <P>Receptor-interacting protein kinase-3 (RIP3 or RIPK3) is a central protein in necroptosis, but posttranslational processes that regulate RIP3 activity and stability remain poorly understood. Here, we identify pellino E3 ubiquitin protein ligase 1 (PELI1) as an E3 ligase that targets RIP3 for proteasome-dependent degradation. Phosphorylation of RIP3 on T182 leads to interaction with the forkhead-associated (FHA) domain of PELI1 and PELI1-mediated K48-linked polyubiquitylation of RIP3 on K363. This same phosphorylation event is also important for RIP3 kinase activity; thus, PELI1 preferentially targets kinase-active RIP3 for degradation. PELI1-mediated RIP3 degradation effectively prevents cell death triggered by RIP3 hyperactivation. Importantly, upregulated RIP3 expression in keratinocytes from toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN) patients is correlated with low expression of PELI1, suggesting that loss of PELI1 may play a role in the pathogenesis of TEN. This study aims to understand characteristics of consumers using smartphone services by examining factors affecting the intention to use of smartphone banking service targeting consumers using smartphones and to consider the mechanism of consumer behavior related with the use of smartphone banking service. To achieve these, this study investigates factors affecting the intention to use of smartphone banking service focusing on TAM and a trust model which explains the degree of consumers’ information and technology acceptance and which have drawn a constant attention of academic and professionals as the representative model of business management and information since 1990. Summaries of this research are as follows. First, perceived security, self-efficacy, diversity of service offering have a significant effect on trust. Second, the higher the trust is, the higher the perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, and intention to use. Lastly, the higher the perceived ease of use, the higher the perceived usefulness and intention to use. And the higher perceived usefulness, the higher the intention to use. This study suggests marketing strategies to boost the use of smartphone banking service.
Selection of Entomopathogenic Fungi to Control green peach aphid, Myzus persicae (Sulzer)

The green peach aphid, Myzus persicae Sulzer, is one of the most important pests affecting protected and open-grown crops, because they cause direct damage by feeding on crops and indirect damage as virus vectors. It has recently become a serious problem because of the continuous use of insecticide resulting in resistance among green peach aphid population. Thus, the development of entomopathogenic fungi as aphid biocontrol agents has received increasing interest as part of integrated control strategies. In this study, we report the screening result of pathogenic fungi for the control of green peach aphid. Initial screenings were performed using 347 isolates of putative pathogenic fungi from Korea soils. As results, 20 isolates of entomopathogenic fungi were isolated from cadavers of green peach aphid supporting fungal conidiation. These isolates were identified as three strains of Lecanicillium attenuatum, nine strains of Beauveria bassiana, one strain of Metarhizium anisopliae, one strain of Metarhizium flavoviride, five strains of Paecilomyces lilacinus, one strain of Aspergillus sp. by microscopic examination, genetic sequencing of the ITS region and Universally Primed PCR (UP-PCR). Based on the screening results, twenty isolates were tested for their pathogenicity against adult green peach aphid. All fungal isolates were pathogenic to green peach aphid but mortality varied with isolates. These entomopathogenic fungi may be useful to develop eco-friendly insecticide to control green peach aphid.
