This paper presents an architecture for driving multiple paralleled cold cathode fluorescent lamps (CCFLs) for back lighting applications The key architecture is a proposed capacitive coupling approach for lamp ignition and paralleled multiple CCFL operation This system is consist of a flyback converter a single inverter to drive multiple lamps and conductive floating reflector The topology is capable of driving a number of parallel lamps with independent accurate lamp Leakage inductance and stray capacitance is used for the capacitive coupling So some advantages are achieved such as improved current regulation cost effectiveness and significant size and weight reduction compared to typical high frequency ac ballast The successful ignition and stable operation is verified from experimental results with ten parallelled CCFLs And this paper proposed a high power factor correction with the passive and active PFC that was satisfied with the IEC rules

LLC resonant converter basically consists of three resonant elements such as gate driver, square wave generator, and second rectifier. And also this can contribute to reduce the input voltage's current stress and to increase the efficiency at switching operation The three resonant parameters are leakage inductance, magnetizing inductance and resonant capacitance. Depending on load variation, Q point is moved and operating range is wide. The operation of Q point is confirmed and verified through experimental of series connected LEDs in this study.

A impedance model simulating the electrical characteristics of the External Electrode fluorescent lamp operated at high frequency is proposed. The model is constructed from a two parameter equation which is derived based on a set of two measurements. This is a readily constructed and computer simulator oriented model which is suitable for a preliminary design of electronic ballasts. Simulated and experimental results are used to verify the analytical discussions, and moreover, an electronic ballast design example using the proposed model is presented to further demonstrate its application.

This paper presents a impedance model for the simulation of both static and dynamic characteristics of the electrodeless fulorescent lamp. A behavioral, PSpice compatible, model has been developed for the electrodeless fluorescent lamp. The model was tested at steady-state for different power levels, with an LCC modulated drive. and this model is established from some equations and measured electrical characteristics of EEFL. The validity of porposed lamp model is verified from the simulation and experimental results.
