한방의료기관의 지상파 방송국 아나운서 환자군에서 분석한 8체질, 주소증 혹은 질병 분포

Objectives While understanding constitutions of various occupations can be beneficial in recommending alternative health education, disease treatments and prevention, such studies are scarce for announcers. The aim of the present study is to identify the distribution of constitutions among ground radio wave broadcasting announcers, and to describe the relationship between their constitutions and the frequency and prevalence rates of various complaints-diseases in the context of the announcers’ routine business. Methods Medical records in one Korean Medicine Clinic were analyzed. The unique pulse diagnosis of Eight Constitution Medicine (ECM), introduced by Dr. Dowon Kuon in 1965, was used to identify the distribution of constitutions among a convenience sample of ground radio wave broadcasting announcers based on the theory of inherent and organic strengths and weaknesses. Disease types were also recorded based on constitution-acupuncture therapy used to treat them. Descriptive statistics of frequencies and corresponding percentages were computed to summarize both the distribution of constitutions and disease types. Results While more than half of male announcers were Hepatonia (41.4%) and Pancreotonia (17.2%), most common constitutions of female announcers were Colonotonia (28.3%) and Renotonia (21.7%). Commonly identified complaintdisease types for this group of announcers included indigestion, cervicalgia (shoulder pain), xerophthalmia, allergic dermatitis and headache. Conclusions This study summarized the prevalence of disease types among ECM diagnosis in an announcer group. Future studies on a larger sample of announcers are expected to further analyze such relationships in order to provide a more systematic guidance for disease prevention and management.

8체질의학과 질병생태학은 질병의 원인을 병균 이외의 유전적 요인, 환경적 요인, 문화적 요인의 상호관계, 즉 인간과 환경의 관계에서 접근한다는 점에서 상당한 유사성을 공유한다. 본 연구에서는 한의학의 8체질의학과 지리학의 질병생태학 간의 공통성을 실증적으로 검토하는 것을 목표로 두었다. 한의원을 내방하는 환자 647명의 임상 데이터와 전라남도 영광군의 사례를 분석하고 검증한 결과 도출된 내용은 다음과 같이 요약된다: 첫째, 각 시도별로 체질의 지리적 분포는 상이하게 나타나며, 이러한 분포 양상은 크게 해양형과 내륙형으로 분류할 수 있다. 둘째, 체질에 따라 잘 걸릴 수 있는 질환과 태생지의 상호관련성은 비교적 큰 것으로 파악되었다. 그렇지만 특정한 질환이 모든 체질에게 동일하게 발생하는 것이 아니라 지리적 환경의 특성에 영향을 받는 식생활이나 생활습관에 따라 사람들에게 차별적으로 발생하는 것으로 보인다. 셋째, 유전, 자연환경, 문화 등 요인의 상호연관성을 면밀하게 분석하기 위하여 전라남도 영광군의 사례를 실험적으로 분석해 보았다. 그 결과 자신의 체질에 맞는 식습관이나 생활습관을 가지고 있는 경우에는 비교적 건강한 상태를 유지하고 있었지만, 그렇지 않은 경우에는 다양한 질환에 노출되어 있었다. 8체질의학과 질병생태학의 공통성에 관한 연구는 아직 초기 단계에 있으므로 앞으로 이러한 공통성을 규명하는 방법과 노력이 다양하게 개발되고 투여되어야 할 것이다. There is a considerable community between Eight Constitution Medicine and disease ecology in that they examine the relationship between humans and environment in terms of genetic, environmental and cultural factors, in addition to the factor of germs. In this respect, the purpose of this research aims to investigate the community between Eight Constitution Medicine, a branch of Eastern Medicine and disease ecology in geography. The research method is to analyse the clinical results from 647 patients and the data from a field survey on the Yeonggwang-gun County, Jeollanam-do Province. The results are summarized as the following: First, geographical distribution of patients varies depending on the type of physical constitution; it is also divided into two types, an oceanic type and an inland type. Second, it is highly probable that there is a significant relation between a vulnerable disease in association with a type of physical constitution and patient’s native place; there are diseases that are not associated with all the patients who have the same constitution; they might be incurred by the eating or life habits in association with the characteristics of geographical environment. Third, the case study of Yeonggwang-gun County, Jeollanam-do Province, with a focus on the mutual relationship among the three factors. shows that patients, who share in common the eating or life habits that coincide with their own personal types of constitution, maintain a good health condition; if not, they tend to be exposed to a various kinds of disease. Because the study on the community between Eight Constitution Medicine and disease ecology is now at the early stage, diverse types of approaches should be tried to be applied in the future.

베네수엘라 볼리바리안 혁명의 21세기 사회주의 건설 운동

이 글은 베네수엘라의 볼리바리안 혁명이 진정한 21세기 사회주의 건설을 이룰 수 있는 가능성과 한계 및 과제를 고찰하는데, ① 볼리바리안 운동이 급진적 포퓰리즘에서 사회주의적 혁명의 가능성을 보여주는 단계로 급진화되어왔고, 추가적으로 급진화될 가능성을 가지고 있으며, ② 사회적 경제의 중추를 이루고 있는 협동조합은 사회적 통제를 강화시키지 않은 한 사회주의 경제의 일부분이 될 수 없고, ③ 공동체위원회는 중앙정부에 대한 의존에서 벗어날 때에만 지속 가능하고, 국유기업 노동자위원회와 함께 사회주의 코뮌을 형성해야 하며, ④ 볼리바리안 혁명이 진정한 사회주의혁명이 되기 위해서는 광범위한 국유화와 노동자 통제가 결정적으로 중요하다고 주장한다. This article will examine the possibilities, limits and the tasks for Bolivarian revolution to construct ‘the 21st century Socialism’ in Venezuela. It argue as follows: The revolution has been radicalized and evolved from radical populism to one with the potential to socialist revolution, and that it can be radicalized further; Cooperatives which is the core of ‘social economy’ cannot be a part of socialist production as long as it is not controlled by the society; Community councils will not sustainable as far as it continues to depend on the state, thus it must constitute socialist communes along with workers’ committee in state-owned companies; In order that the revolution will be a true socialist one, nationalization and control by labors of factories is crucially important and necessary.
