        비비안 웨스트우드 해체주의 패션에 나타난 메이크업 디자인 연구

        As modern society respects individuality, opens and is getting verified, people became to pursue the things that are more stimulating and individual. In such a stream of times, women’s desire to express one’s individuality and beauty continued to the development beauty-related industry as well as fashion industry, which enabled women to depart from the standard pattern of the time during the time when women’s advancement in society was oppressed. As recent fashion industry is also sensitive to diversity and pluralism, and is active in such a tendency, deconstructive mode is forming a mainstream. Thus, this study analyzed a make-up technique expressed as pluralistic deconstructionism through the works shown in the collection of Vivienne Westwood, a representative English fashion designer and leader of deconstructionism avant-garde fashion. As a result, this study found that difference-applied make-up has the harmony of the east and the west, harmony of the future and the past, oriental feeling etc. Intertextuality-applied make-up was expressed as a type of mixing mode through texture and color, female masculinities or make-up that both genders are mixed up. In uncertainty-applied make-up, irregular ambiguity, disharmony of intended blurredness or the feeling of intentional incompleteness was expressed as a type of make-up. Deviation-applied make-up expressed make-up through deconstruction of centrism by breaking unity using a line, denying mathematical completeness through transformation of the shape of eyes of lips or expressing eye make-up asymmetrically. To sum up, Vivienne Westwood fashion show was attempting a diverse, daring and deconstructive make-up, which shows another communication that inosculates the past, the present and the future, not simple transformation or destruction.

This device has a memory that lasts for months, a sufficiently high on current and on/off ratio to permit ordinary sense amplifiers to measure “1” or “0”, and is fully compatible with complementary metal‐oxide semiconductor processing. </P>

        An Ionic Liquid Containing L-Proline Moiety as Highly Efficient and Recyclable Chiral Organocatalyst for Michael Addition

        A novel chiral ionic liquid containing proline moiety was synthesized. It can be used as a highly efficient and recyclable chiral organocatalyst for Michael addition of cyclohexanone with (E)-β-nitroalkenes in methanol at room temperature. The Michael addition affords the corresponding products in satisfactory yields of isolated products (78–98%) with high diastereoselectivities and excellent enantioselectivities (up to 98% dr and up to 99% ee). The catalyst can be recycled up to five times without any decrease in yields and stereoselectivities.

        Capabilities of stochastic response surface method and response surface method in reliability analysis

        The stochastic response surface method (SRSM) and the response surface method (RSM) are often used for structural reliability analysis, especially for reliability problems with implicit performance functions. This paper aims to compare these two methods in terms of fitting the performance function, accuracy and efficiency in estimating probability of failure as well as statistical moments of system output response. The computational procedures of two response surface methods are briefly introduced first. Then their capabilities are demonstrated and compared in detail through two examples. The results indicate that the probability of failure mainly reflects the accuracy of the response surface function (RSF) fitting the performance function in the vicinity of the design point, while the statistical moments of system output response reflect the accuracy of the RSF fitting the performance function in the entire space. In addition, the performance function can be well fitted by the SRSM with an optimal order polynomial chaos expansion both in the entire physical and in the independent standard normal spaces. However, it can be only well fitted by the RSM in the vicinity of the design point. For reliability problems involving random variables with approximate normal distributions, such as normal, lognormal, and Gumbel Max distributions, both the probability of failure and statistical moments of system output response can be accurately estimated by the SRSM, whereas the RSM can only produce the probability of failure with a reasonable accuracy.

        Effect of Argon Gas Pressure on Residual Stress, Microstructure Evolution and Electrical Resistivity of Beryllium Films

        The residual stress in beryllium films fabricated on K9 substrates by using magnetron sputtering deposition is measured by using a curvature method and is theoretically estimated by using the Nix and Clemens (NC) model. The experimental results indicate that the 1.3-μm-thick film is always in a tensile state for pressure variations in the range from 0.4 to 1.2 Pa. When the sputtering gas pressure is increased, the average stress increases at first, after which it decreases by a remarkable amount. The observed descending trend of the tensile stress when the sputtering gas pressure is beyond 0.6 Pa is mainly attributed to the grain size in the film being larger than that in the film when the pressure is below 0.6 Pa. The maximal residual stress of 552 MPa at a sputtering gas pressure of 0.6 Pa is close to the tensile strength (550 MPa) of the corresponding beryllium bulk material and is about 8 times smaller than that calculated by using the N-C model. In addition, the surface morphologies of the as-fabricated films reveal fibrous grains while the cross-sectional morphologies are characterized by a coarsening of columnar grains. The measured electric resistivity of each film strongly depends on its porosity and the sizes of its grains.

        MicroRNA Let-7c inhibits Bcl-xl expression and regulates ox-LDL-induced endothelial apoptosis

        Endothelial cells (ECs) apoptosis induced by oxidized low-density lipoprotein (ox-LDL) is thought to play a critical role in atherosclerosis. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are a class of noncoding RNAs that posttranscriptionally regulate the expression of genes involved in diverse cell functions, including differentiation, growth, proliferation, and apoptosis. MiRNA let-7 family is known to be involved in the regulation of cell apoptosis. However, the function of let-7 in ox-LDL induced ECs apoptosis and atherosclerosis is still unknown. Here, we show that let-7c expression was markedly up-regulated in ox-LDL induced apoptotic human umbilical cord vein endothelial cells (HUVECs). Let-7c over-expression enhanced apoptosis in ECs whereas inhibition of let-7c could partly alleviate apoptotic cell death mediated by ox-LDL. Searching for how let-7c affected apoptosis, we discovered that antiapoptotic protein Bcl-xl was a direct target of let-7c in ECs. Our data suggest that let-7c contributes to endothelial apoptosis through suppression of Bcl-xl. [BMB Reports 2012; 45(8): 464-469]

        Identification and Heterologous Expression of a Δ4-Fatty Acid Desaturase Gene from Isochrysis sphaerica

        The marine microalga Isochrysis sphaerica is rich in the very-long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids, including eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA, C20:5ω-3) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA, C22:6ω-3) that are important to human health. Here, we report a functional characterization of a Δ4-fatty acid desaturase gene (FAD4) from I. sphaerica. IsFAD4 contains a 1,284 bp open reading frame encoding a 427 amino acid polypeptide. The deduced amino sequence comprises three conserved histidine motifs and a cytochrome b5 domain at its N-terminus. Phylogenetic analysis indicated that IsFad4 formed a unique Isochrysis clade distinct from the counterparts of other eukaryotes. Heterologous expression of IsFAD4 in Pichia pastoris showed that IsFad4 was able to desaturate docosapentaenoic acid (DPA) to form DHA, and the rate of converting DPA to DHA was 79.8%. These results throw light on the potential industrial production of specific polyunsaturated fatty acids through IsFAD4 transgenic yeast or oil crops.

        Efficacy of Cranial Electrotherapy Stimulation Combined with Biofeedback Therapy in Patients with Functional Constipation

        Background/Aims A large number of studies have shown that function constipation (FC) has an extremely high incidence of mental and psychological disorders. Cranial electrotherapy stimulation (CES) was applied to the treatment of psychological disorders such as anxiety and depression. We explored the effects of CES combined with biofeedback therapy (BFT) on the psychological state, clinical symptoms, and anorectal function in patients with FC. Methods A total of 74 patients with FC were randomly divided into 2 groups. The control group received BFT. CES combined with BFT was carried out in the experiment group. All patients were assessed using the self-rating anxiety scale (SAS), self-rating depression scale (SDS), and Wexner constipation score at baseline and the end of each course. Anorectal manometry and balloon expulsion tests were performed before and after treatment. Results After treatment, the participants in the experiment group had significantly lower score SAS, SDS, and Wexner constipation scores than the control group (all P < 0.05). The number of successful expulsion in the experiment group was larger than the control group (P = 0.016). Conclusions CES combined with BFT was effective in improving the psychological status of anxiety, depression, and bowel symptoms in patients with FC. (J Neurogastroenterol Motil 2016;22:497-508)

      • Product market competition and corporate investment : Evidence from China

        In contrast to recent studies using U.S. data, we find a positive relation between product market competition and corporate investment using a sample of Chinese manufacturing firms during 1999-2010. A quasi-natural experiment and change regressions yield consistent evidence. We contend that China’s high growth rate, as it transitions from a developing economy to a developed economy, is what drives the positive relation between competition and investment. We directly test and provide support for this growth-oriented explanation. We also find that high investment under high competition is a value-enhancing proposition for firms. Finally, we also test to see if there are some firm-types that are more likely to invest under high competition in a growing economy, and we find that firms with high predation risk, firms that are industry leaders, and firms with good governance are the ones that invest more.

        Trajectory Planning with Collision Avoidance for Multiple Quadrotor UAVs Using DMPC

        Trajectory planning with collision avoidance plays an important role for the safe application of multi-UAV systems in low altitude airspace. Although the synchronous DMPC algorithm had been widely applied in multi-agent systems due to its lower communication and computing cost, it generally suffers from the strict requirements. For example, the additional terminal conditions significantly reduce the maneuverability of the UAV in the fleet, whereas which ensure the stability of the algorithm and the feasibility of recursion. To remedy the raised issues, in this paper, a novel set of terminal conditions is proposed, which effectively reduces the conservativeness of the collision-free trajectories and satisfies the requirements of collision avoidance algorithms simultaneously. In this research, we also leverage the theoretical qualitative analysis, and thus providing initial guesses and related parameter settings for the algorithm. Finally, sufficient numerical simulations are proposed to verify the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed algorithm.
