In this paper, we propose a Cooperative Transmission Strategy using Entropy-based Relay Selection in Mobile Ad-hoc Wireless Sensor Networks (MAWSN) with Rayleigh Fading Environments. The main features and contributions of the proposed cooperative transmission strategy are as follows. First, entropy-based relay selection is used to improve data transmission reliability from a source node to a destination node. Second, we present a theoretical analysis model for the proposed cooperative transmission strategy with the outage probability of the end-to-end performance. The performance of our protocol is evaluated using analysis and simulation.

In mobile ad-hoc wireless networks, one of the most important challenging issues is how to conserve energy, maximizing the lifetime of route (networks) in the view points of both power and mobility of nodes. However, many transmission methods presented in the previous works can not satisfy these two objectives simultaneously. To obtain these two goals, in this paper we propose an architecture to support power saving transmission services with route stability in mobile ad-hoc wireless networks. The proposed architecture consists of two parts, the underlying route stability method to support route (network) lifetime and the power saving transmission methods. The performance evaluation of the proposed architecture is achieved via simulation and analysis.

A wide range of applications for mobile ad-hoc wireless sensor networks (MAWSN) have been recently exploited. Because the main goals of sensor networks unlike conventional networks are prolonging the lifetime of the networks, high energy utilization efficiency becomes a stringent design criterion. In this paper, we propose a Cooperative Communication Architecture (CCA) based on underlying clustering structure in MAWSN. The main features and contributions of the CCA are as follows. First, the CCA uses the clusters as underlying structures to support stable transmission services. Second, the CCA uses the cluster-based cooperative communication to support multi-hop power saving transmission efficiently. Third, we consider a realistic approach based on mobile ad-hoc nodes with sensing function as well as fixed sensor in sensor fields while the conventional research for sensor networks focus on mainly fixed sensor nodes. Fourth, we present a theoretical analysis for the cluster-based cooperative transmission. The performance evaluation is performed via simulation and analysis.

본 논문에서는 레일리페이딩 환경의 모바일 Ad-hoc 무선 센서네트워크에서 네트워크 컨버젼스 및 전송 효율 서비스를 효과적으로 지원하기 위한 협력 라우팅 프로토콜 (CooRP)을 제안한다. 제안된 CooRP의 주요한 특징 및 기여도는 다음과 같다. 첫째 라우팅 경로들은 방향성 안내 라인 영역 내에서 노드들의 이동성 정보를 이용한 엔트로피 개념 기반 위에서 설정되며 경로 설정을 위한 컨트롤 오버헤드를 줄일 수 있다. 둘째 페킷 전송 효율을 증가시키기 위해서 설정된 라우팅 경로에 기반을 둔 향상된 SNR을 지원할 수 있는 협력 데이터 전송 전략이 사용된다. 셋째 제안된 CooRP의 협력전송에 대한 이론적인 분석이 outage probability를 가지고 이루어진다. 제안된 CooRP의 성능평가는 OPNET을 사용한 시뮬레이션과 이론적 분석을 통하여 이루어진다. 성능평가를 통하여 제안된 프로토콜은 안정된 경로 설정 및 협력 전송을 통한 데이터 전송효율을 효과적으로 증가 시킬 수 있음을 알 수 있다. In this paper In this paper we propose a Cooperative Routing Protocol (CooRP) for supporting network convergence and transmission services efficiently in mobile ad-hoc wireless sensor networks with Rayleigh fading environments. The main contributions and features of this paper are as follows. First the routing routes are decided on route stability based on entropy concepts using mobility of nodes within the direction guided line region to increase the operational lifetime of routes as well as reduce control overhead for route construction. Second a cooperative data transmission strategy based on the constructed stable routing route is used to increase packet delivery ratio with advanced SNR. Third a theoretical analysis for cooperative data transmission of the proposed CooRP with outage probability is presented. The performance evaluation of the proposed CooRP is performed via simulation using OPNET and analysis. The results of performance evaluation show that the proposed CooRP by using stable routing routes and cooperative transmission can increase packet delivery ratio efficiently.
ERPM: An Entropy-based Routing Protocol using Mobility in Mobile Ad-hoc Wireless Networks

본 논문에서는 모바일 Ad-hoc 무선 네트워크에서 유비쿼터스 융합 서비스를 효과적으로 지원하기 위한 이동성을 이용한 엔트로피 기반 라우팅 프로토콜(ERPM)을 제안한다. 제안된 ERPM의 주요한 특징은 다음과 같다. 첫째 ERPM은 노드들의 이동성을 이용한 엔트로피 개념을 기반으로 하여 안정된 라우팅 경로들을 설정할 수 있다. 둘째 ERPM은 노드들의 이동성을 이용한 엔트로피 개념에 의해서 경로들의 안정성을 평가 할 수 있다. 셋째 ERPM은 소스노드와 목적지 노드 사이에 다중 경로가 존재할 때 경로들의 이동성 측면에서 가장 안정된 경로를 선택할 수 있다. 제안된 ERPM의 성능평가는 OPNET을 사용한 시뮬레이션과 이론적 분석을 통하여 이루어진다. 성능평가를 통하여 제안된 ERPM은 안정된 경로 설정 및 데이터 전송효율을 효과적으로 증가 시킬 수 있음을 알 수 있다. In this paper we propose an Entropy-based Routing Protocol using Mobility (ERPM) for supporting ubiquitous convergence services efficiently in mobile ad-hoc wireless networks. The main features that the ERPM introduces to obtain the goals can be summarized as follows. First ERPM can construct stable routing routes based on the entropy concepts using mobility of nodes. Second ERPM can quantitatively evaluate the stability of route by entropy concepts using mobility of nodes. Third ERPM can select the most stable route in the view points of mobility of routes between a source node and a destination node where multiple paths are available. The performance evaluation of the proposed ERPM performed via simulation using OPNET and analysis shows that the ERPM can support the construction of stable routing routes and increase the transmission ratio of data efficiently.
모바일 Ad-hoc 무선 센서 네트워크를 위한 엔트로피기반 협력도움 라우팅 프로토콜

본 논문에서는 모바일 ad-hoc 무선 센서 네트워크에서 엔트로피기반 협력도움 라우팅 프로토콜을 제안한다. 제안된 라우팅 프로토콜의 주요한 특징 및 기여도는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 노드들의 이동성 관점에서 안정된 경로의 설정을 위해서 엔트로피 기반의 라우팅 경로 설정 방법을 제안 사용한다. 둘째, 향상된 SNR 을 가지고 데이터 전달 효율을 효과적으로 증가시키기 위해서 협력도움 데이터 전송 방법을 사용한다. 셋째, 기존의 연구가 주로 고정된 센서 노드들로 구성된 센서필드에서 이루어진 반면에, 본 논문에서는 센서필드에서 고정된 센서 노드들 뿐만 아니라 이동 노드들도 함께 고려한 모바일 Ad-hoc 무선 센서 네트워크(MAWSN) 관점에서 연구가 진행된다. 제안된 라우팅 프로토콜의 성능평가는 시뮬레이션과 이론적인 분석을 통하여 이루어진다. In this paper, we propose an Entropy-based Cooperative-Aided Routing Protocol (ECARP) in Mobile Ad-hoc Wireless Sensor Networks (MAWSN). The main contributions and features of this paper are as follows. First, the entropy-based cooperative routing protocol which is based on node mobility is proposed for supporting stable routing route construction. Second, cooperative data transmission method is used for improving data transmission ratio with the improved SNR. Third, we consider a realistic approach, in the points of view of the MAWSN, based on mobile sensor nodes as well as fixed sensor nodes in sensor fields while the conventional research for sensor networks focus on mainly fixed sensor nodes. The performance evaluation of the proposed routing protocol is performed via simulation and analysis.
