ELECTRONIC WORD-OF-MOUTH COMMUNICATION VIA SOCIAL NETWORKING SITES: THE CASE OF E-DA THEME PARK
Anestis K. Fotiadis,Nikolaos Stylos,Tzung-Cheng (T.C.) Huan 글로벌지식마케팅경영학회 2016 Global Marketing Conference Vol.2016 No.7
In today’s digital world the role of electronic word-of-mouth (eWOM) communication has been recognized as an invaluable tool in the integrated marketing communications and promotion activities of a wide range of products and services. In particular eWOM has been identified as a critical component of tourism and entertainment marketing such as that used to promote theme park amusement services. This paper examines the effects of social media (SM) relationship variables (Social identity, information, interaction, structure) have on eWOM communication, with mediators of social networks (Perceived usefulness - PU, perceived ease of use - PEOU and actual use -AU) acting as transmitters of those effects. Although previous studies have strongly supported the importance of social identity and personal interaction in enhancing eWOM communication through social networks, they have not been tested as a specific model that is relevant to the theme park industry. This research therefore incorporates those three mediators to enhance the explanatory value of a proposed model. The findings confirm the mediating role of technology acceptance model (TAM) factors, i.e. PU, PEOU and AU, for predicting theme park visitors’ use of eWOM. It is shown that all four exogenous SM relationship variables exert a positive indirect effect on eWOM communication by operating through PU and AU, but not PEOU. Practically, the study features the role of a set of factors that support theme park visitors’ tendency to communicate their experiences to their online network and describes a model which could offer theme park and amusement venue operators a competitive edge over other direct competitors as well as other forms of entertainment.

This paper is dedicated to the study on the external and internal mass transfers of glucose for succinic acid fermentation under substrate and product inhibitions using a bioreactor with stirred bed of immobilized Actinobacillus succinogenes cells. By means of the substrate mass balance for a single particle of biocatalysts, considering the kinetic model adapted for both inhibitory effects, specific mathematical models were developed for describing the profiles of the substrate concentration in the outer and inner regions of biocatalysts and for estimating the substrate mass flows in the liquid boundary layer surrounding the particle and inside the particle. The values of the mass flows were significantly influenced by the internal diffusion velocity and rate of the biochemical reaction of substrate consumption. These cumulated influences led to the appearance of a biological inactive region near the particle center, its magnitude varying from 0 to 5.3% of the overall volume of particles.
D.C. conductivity and thermal aging of conducting zeolite/polyaniline and zeolite/polypyrrole blends

The d.c. conductivityr of zeolite/polyaniline (PANI) and zeolite/polypyrrole (PPy) blends of various concentrations in zeolite wasmeasured from 80 to 320 K. Moreover, the thermal degradation ofr was studied by heating the blends at 70.C under environmentalconditions for times between 0 and 600 h approximately. The experimental results indicate a structure of the granular metal type, inwhich conductive grains are randomly distributed in an insulating matrix and thermal degradation is due to the shrinking of them.As the zeolite content increases in the zeolite/PPy blends, the separation between the conductive grains decreases, the conductivityincreases and the thermal stability of the blends improves. On the contrary, the behaviour of the zeolite/PANI samples is almost inde-in PANI in contrast to the amorphous grains of PPy.
Unsteady Wet Steam Flow Measurements in a Low-Pressure Test Steam Turbine

An experimental study is conducted for unsteady wet steam flow in a four-stage low-pressure test steam turbine. The measurements are carried out at outlets of the last two stages by using a newly developed fast response aerodynamic probe. This FRAP-HTH probe (Fast Response Aerodynamic Probe - High Temperature Heated) has a miniature high-power cartridge heater with an active control system to heat the probe tip, allowing it to be applied to wet steam measurements. The phase-locked average results obtained with a sampling frequency of 200 kHz clarify the flow characteristics, such as the blade wakes and secondary vortexes, downstream from the individual rotational blades in the wet steam environment.
