Photovoltaic and impedance properties of dye-sensitized solar cell based on nature dye from beetroot

        AlMutairi Mona A.,Farooq W.A.,AlSalhi M.S. 한국물리학회 2022 Current Applied Physics Vol.40 No.-

The present study involves fabrication and photovoltaic characterization including impedance properties of dyesensitized solar cells based on natural dye from beetroot. The electrode of the cell was prepared with commercial Fluorine-doped Tin Oxide glass with 100 μm layer of nanostructured TiO2 whereas, the counter electrode consisted of platinum-coated glass. Fresh juice was extracted from beetroot to use as dye. The dye exhibited high absorption in visible range. Photovoltaic measurements of the solar cell gave a short circuit current density (Jsc) of 130 μA/cm2 and an open-circuit voltage (VOC) of 0.38 V under AM 1.5 illumination intensity. The VOC and Jsc showed linear behavior at higher values of illumination intensities. The conductance-voltage, the capacitance-voltage and the series resistance voltage characteristics of the dye solar cell was measured at frequency range from 5 kHz to 5 MHz to study performance of the dye-sensitized solar cells with natural dyes.

      • Implementation of ML Algorithm for Mung Bean Classification using Smart Phone

Almutairi, Mubarak,Mutiullah, Mutiullah,Munir, Kashif,Hashmi, Shadab Alam International Journal of Computer ScienceNetwork S 2021 International journal of computer science and netw Vol.21 No.11

This work is an extension of my work presented a robust and economically efficient method for the Discrimination of four Mung-Beans [1] varieties based on quantitative parameters. Due to the advancement of technology, users try to find the solutions to their daily life problems using smartphones but still for computing power and memory. Hence, there is a need to find the best classifier to classify the Mung-Beans using already suggested features in previous work with minimum memory requirements and computational power. To achieve this study's goal, we take the experiments on various supervised classifiers with simple architecture and calculations and give the robust performance on the most relevant 10 suggested features selected by Fisher Co-efficient, Probability of Error, Mutual Information, and wavelet features. After the analysis, we replace the Artificial Neural Network and Deep learning with a classifier that gives approximately the same classification results as the above classifier but is efficient in terms of resources and time complexity. This classifier is easily implemented in the smartphone environment.

      • Cyberbullying Detection by Sentiment Analysis of Tweets' Contents Written in Arabic in Saudi Arabia Society

Almutairi, Amjad Rasmi,Al-Hagery, Muhammad Abdullah International Journal of Computer ScienceNetwork S 2021 International journal of computer science and netw Vol.21 No.3

Social media has become a global means of communication in people's lives. Most people are using Twitter for communication purposes and its inappropriate use, which has negative effects on people's lives. One of the widely common misuses of Twitter is cyberbullying. As the resources of dialectal Arabic are rare, so for cyberbullying most people are using dialectal Arabic. For this reason, the ultimate goal of this study is to detect and classify cyberbullying on Twitter in the Arabic context in Saudi Arabia. To help in the detection and classification of tweets, Pointwise Mutual Information (PMI) to generate a lexicon, and Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithms are used. The evaluation is performed on both methods in terms of the F1-score. However, the F1-score after applying the PMI is 50%, while after the SVM application on the resampling data it is 82%. The analysis of the results shows that the SVM algorithm outperforms better.

Voltage dependent pulse shape analysis of Geiger-Müller counter

        B. Almutairi,T. Akyurek,S. Usman 한국원자력학회 2019 Nuclear Engineering and Technology Vol.51 No.4

Detailed pulse shape analysis of a Geiger-Müller counter is performed to understand the pulse shapedependence on operating voltage. New data is presented to demonstrate that not all pulses generated ina GM counter are identical. In fact, there is a strong correlation between the operating voltage and thepulse shape. Similar to detector deadtime, pulse shapes fall in three distinct regions. For low voltageregion, where deadtime was reported to reduce with increasing voltage, pulse generated in this regionwas observed to have a fixed pulse width with a variable tail. The pulse width and fall time of the tail wasobserved to be a function of applied voltage; exponentially reducing with increasing voltage with anexponent of negative 6E-04 and 2E-03 respectively. The second region showed a pulse without anysignificant tail. During this time the detector deadtime was earlier reported to be at its minimum. Thehighest voltage region demonstrated a different deadtime mechanism where the second pulse wasreduced in width. During this time the deadtime seemed to be increasing with increasing voltage. Thisdata allows us to gain some unique insight into the phenomenon of GM detector deadtime not reportedthus far.

COVID-19 and Its Impact on the Financial Performance of Kuwaiti Banks: A Comparative Study Between Conventional and Islamic Banks

Humoud Awad ALMUTAIRI 한국유통과학회 2022 The Journal of Asian Finance, Economics and Busine Vol.9 No.1

COVID-19 struck without warning, and by the first quarter of 2020, the world had plunged into a state of total closure as a means of containing the pandemic’s devastating effect. Certainly, the pandemic shook many economies; some countries were able to cope, while third-world countries lost their invulnerability. Based on this, the current study looked at financial reports from Kuwaiti conventional and Islamic banks from 2019 to 2020 (before and after the pandemic) and compared the findings to see how much of an impact Kuwaiti conventional and Islamic banks had during the COVID-19 epidemic. Financial analysis of financial reports was used as a quantitative methodology, and variables were compared and analyzed, including (the liquidity ratio, profitability ratio, and financial leverage) within (14) Kuwaiti conventional and Islamic banks. The study found that the pandemic had a detrimental impact on both conventional and Islamic banks in Kuwait, as they were the first line of defense for the Kuwaiti economy during lockdowns and quarantines. Furthermore, there were significant implications on the Rate of Return on Investment, Debt, Financial Leverage, and Return on Equity.

Humoud Awad ALMUTAIRI 한국유통과학회 2021 The Journal of Asian Finance, Economics and Busine Vol.8 No.12

Based on the Financial Management Information Systems (FMIS) variables and supporting arenas, the current study aims to highlight the importance of FMIS in supporting organizations to achieve organizational excellence (Managing Liabilities, Support Decision Making, Cost Efficiency, Financial Quality, and Security). A quantitative approach was utilized by adopting a questionnaire as a tool. A convenient sample of (249) individuals from different Kuwaiti SMEs answered the questionnaire. SPSS v. 26 was used to analyze gathered data. The study’s findings revealed that FMIS has a significant impact on organizational trials to achieve organizational excellence. This impact was most noticeable on the level of cost-efficiency, with an R-value of 0.583, followed by a positive impact on security, with an R-value of 0.453. Based on the results, it can be widely generalized that FMIS can help the organization reach organizational excellence through managing its financial affairs. As a result, the study recommends paying more attention to the quality of data presented to FMIS, keeping in mind that human errors in data entry might result in incorrect and malfunctioned data, even if it is processed by FMIS. FMIS also improves the ability of an organization to schedule financial information, such as obligations, receivables, debts, payments, and expenses.

Meshari Saad Almutairi 대한환경공학회 2022 Environmental Engineering Research Vol.27 No.5

A new measurement method of weathered crude oil in soil was reviewed. There is no standard method for the extraction of crude oil from soil. Hence, a basic initial test was carried out and several methods such as gravimetric and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) with various parameters such as weight, solvent and time. The gravimetric process was demonstrated to be the most effective for quantifying weathered contamination crude oil in contaminated soil. The dichloromethane DCM, mixture of DCM: hexane (1:1 v/v mix) and the mixture of acetone: hexane (1:1 v/v mix) were used to investigate the ability of solvent extraction technique for removing weathered crude oil from soil under various extraction conditions. The mixture of acetone: hexane (1:1 v/v mix) was demonstrated to be the most effective in removing total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH) from contaminated soils. 5 g and 1 g weights of oil-contaminated samples were studied to select the best weight depending on contamination level. 1 g of contaminated soil was cleaned in three cycles whilst the 5 g of contaminated soil required six cycles. The selected parameters recovered about 97.20% of the weathered crude oil. These parameters were influenced with character of high efficiency, low cost, low toxicity, and short time.
