Alinezhad, Heshmatollah,Tollabian, Zakieh Korean Chemical Society 2010 Bulletin of the Korean Chemical Society Vol.31 No.7
A fast, efficient, and high yielding method for the preparation of amines by reductive amination of aldehydes and ketones using sodium borohydride in the presence of cellulose sulfuric acid in EtOH and under solvent-free conditions at room temperature is described.

Due to uncertain environment, various parameters such as price, queuing length, warranty, and so on influence on inventory models. In this paper, an inventory-queuing-pricing problem with continuous review inventory control policy and batch arrival queuing approach, is presented. To best of our knowledge, (I) demand function is stochastic and price dependent; (II) due to the uncertainty in real-world situations, a fuzzy programming approach is applied. Therefore, the presented model with goal of maximizing total profit of system analyzes the price and order quantity decision variables. Since the proposed model belongs to NP-hard problems, Pareto-based approaches based on non-dominated ranking and sorting genetic algorithm are proposed and justified to solve the model. Several numerical illustrations are generated to demonstrate the model validity and algorithms performance. The results showed the applicability and robustness of the proposed soft-computing-based approaches to analyze the problem.

N-Bromosaccharin/$Mg(ClO_4)_2$ is an effective and regioselective system for ${\alpha}$-monobromination of 1,3-dicarbonyl compounds. A wide variety of ${\beta}$-keto esters and 1,3-diketones in reaction with this system afforded a regioselectively ${\alpha}$-monobrominated products. The bromination reaction can be conducted at 0-5 $^{\circ}C$ either in solution or under solvent-free conditions.

$TiO_2$ nanoparticles were synthesized and characterized by SEM and XRD techniques. The $TiO_2$ nanoparticles were employed as a recyclable, inexpensive and efficient catalyst for the synthesis of substituted quinoxalines in high to excellent yields and in relatively short duration.

In many ways, the use of high electrostatic fields in the separation of water-in-oil emulsions is a mature technology, with most developments arising from attempts to improve the process of crude oils, in terms of the separation of water, salt or other hydrophilic impurities. In this way, different mechanisms have been proposed until now and several parameters have been studied to estimate the level of separation. In this work, after a review of the process and its application, new results are presented for AC currents under non-uniform electrical fields (dielectrophoresis)on the water-in-crude oil emulsion. Then the effects of voltage, temperature, volume fraction and API are studied on degree of separation. Finally, a correlation is presented among these parameters by an experimental model.

Background Early diagnosis is one of the most important factors in cancer treatment. Unfortunately, despite remarkable advances in the diagnosis and treatment methods of cancers in recent years, these methods are far from being perfect and have significant limitations and disadvantages. High costs and unwanted damage to healthy cells are some of the most important challenges. Area covered With the advent of novel technologies, potentially advantageous methods are being studied actively. The use of bacteriophages is one of the modern methods for cancer diagnosis and treatment. In the present article, we will discuss the potential advantages and limitations regarding the use of bacteriophages in the diagnosis and treatment of malignancies. Expert opinion The use of bacteriophages is one of the more recent methods for cancer diagnosis and treatment. Due to the non-pathogenic nature of bacteriophages, their genetic engineering capability makes them a great option for therapeutic purposes. The exact potential of phages to be used in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer, will be determined with further research in the future.
