Direct tensile tests were carried out for the tensile mmtbers of steel-reinforced polyrrer concrete with different steel diameters and steel ratios to figure out the effect of tensile strength of polyrrer concrete. In the experiments, polyrrer concrete with 1000 kpf/ cm<sup>2</sup> of compressive strength, steel with 5200 kpf/cm<sup>2</sup> of tensile strength, and the tensile mmtbers with 100 cm of constant length were used. Experimental results showed that, regardless of steel diameters and steel content, the strain energy exerted by concrete till the initial crack was 14-15% of the total energy till the point of yield: The energy was much larger than the one of high-strength cerrent concrete. The behaviors of tensile mmtbers of steel-reinforced polymer concrete were in relatively good agreemmt with the model suggested by Gupta-Maestrini (1990), which was idealized by the effective tensile stress-strain relationship of concrete and the load-strain relationship of members, while those showed a big difference from CES-FlP model and AO-224 equation suggested for the load-displacement relationship that was defined as the cross sectional stiffness of effective axis. Modified ACI-224 model code about the load-displacement relationship for the tensile members of steel-reinforced polymer concrete and theoretical equation for the polymer concrete tensile stiffness of polymer concrete suggested through the results of this study are expected to be used in an accurate structural analysis and design for the polymer concrete structural members.

In this study, rrethyl methacrylate (NtMA)-modified unsaturated polyester mortar, in which the .MMA was added to the unsaturated polyester resin, was developed for improving the early-age strength and the workability of the conventional pol~ concrete, binder of which was the unsaturated polyester resin. Then the strength properties of the .MMA-modified unsaturated polyester mortar were surveyed. The experiIrental results showed that early-age strength was greater when the MMA contents were increased in the range of 20-40%, but the strength rather showed a tendency of decrease when the .MMA contents was 50%.

The effects of polymer-cement ratio, antifoamer agent content and shrinkage-reducing agent content on the drying shrinkage of polymer-modified mortars using redispersible polymer powder are examined. As a result, irrespective of the antifoamer content, the drying shrinkage of the polymer-modified mortars using redispersible polymer powder tend to decrease with increasing polymer-cement ratio and shrinkage-reducing agent content. Such a drying shrinkage development is due to the effect of reducing water from incorporation of EVA redispersible polymer powder and antifoamer agent.
MMA 개질 불포화 폴리에스테르 폴리머 콘크리트의 물리·역학적 특성

본 연구는 메틸 메타아크릴 레이트(MMA) 첨가량에 따른 MMA개질 폴리머 콘크리트의 조기강도 특성 및 작업성에 관한 것이다. 시험결과, MMA첨가량 및 충전재/결합재 비의 증가에 따라 슬럼프는 증가하는 경향을 나타냈고, 조기강도는 충전재/결합재 비에 관계없이 MMA첨가량이 20~40% 범위에서는 증가하는 경향을 나타내다가 50%에서는 다시 감소하는 경향을 나타내었다. 따라서 작업성 및 조기강도 증진을 위해서는 MMA적정첨가량이 20-40%임을 알 수 있다. 한편 시험결광 대한 회귀분석을 통하여 MMA첨가량 및 충전재/결합재 비에 따른 슬럼프 추정식을 제안할 수 있었다. In this study the polymer-modified mortars were made in which the cement the polymer dispersions and redispersible polymer powder as binder, the silica sand as fine aggregate. The effects of polymer-cement ratio on strength properties, waterproofness, resistance of carbonation and resistance of chloride ion penetration of polymer-modified mortars are examined. As a results, the flexural, compressive, tensile and adhesion in tension strengths of the polymer-modified mortars increase with increasing polymer-cement ratio. The water absorption, carbonation depth and chloride ion penetration depth of polymer-modified mortars tend to decrease with increasing polymer-binder ratio. The addition of the polymer dispersion and redispersible polymer powder are effective for improving strength properties and durability of polymer-modified mortars.
