Recently, worsening outdoor air environment due to high concentration of outdoor fine dust and ultrafine dust has emerged as a social problem. And students who do not have a fully developed immune system spend most of the day indoors. Because of that, we need to make efforts to maintain a pleasant air environment in the classroom. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze how outdoor air quality affects indoor air quality through deteriorated windows. Accordingly, this study were applied two types of windbreak to the deteriorated windows of the education facilities to measure and analyze air tightness and air quality. Measurements showed that the air tightness and air quality of the coking-type windbreak was not significantly improved, but sealing-type windbreak was greatly improved. However, in case of ultrafine dust 0.3μm particle, it was similar to outdoor air regardless of the application of windbreak, so regular cleaning or air purifier is required.

Educational facilities are a building that needs to deliver and achieve various educating methods safely and effectively. Thus it is important to keep comfort requirement of the occupants. So we classified indoor pollution sources by types and checked indoor air quality and analyzed the result. The occupants comfort requirement is not only effected by temperature, heating but also by air quality like CO₂ and fine dust. Therefore, we need to choose air conditioning which is able to cover not only heating and cooling controling thermal sensation, but also control of cleanness.
