중공사막을 이용한 가스분리 공정의 성능예측을 위한 수학적 모델 개발

In this study, a rigorous mathematical model was developed to predict the separation performance of multi-component gases in gas separation processes using hollow fiber membranes. A mathematical model consisting of the mass, momentum, and species balance equations for both bulk flows was developed with consideration of mass transfer across the membrane and the concentration boundary layer adjacent to the membrane. The mathematical model was validated by comparing the experimental data obtained from methane purification with polysulfone. The simulation results were in good agreement with the experimental data, with a relative error of less than 5%.

스마트폰이 대중화됨에 따라 같이 사용되는 보완재들이 등장하였다. IT 주변기기나 액세서리가 그것이다. 이들은 기능적인 면, 심미적인 측면에서 IT기기를 사용자가 원하는 방향으로 사용할 수 있도록 하는 데에 일조하고 있다. 이는 제품에 대한 심적 거리감을 낮추는 방향으로 작용하는 역할을 하며 호텔링 모형에서 이동비용이 낮아지는 것으로 볼 수 있다. 따라서 특정 이동통신기기와 호환되는 보완재가 얼마나 다양한지에 따라 개별 IT기기의 수요행태가 달라질 수 있다. 현실에서 수평적으로 차별화된 제품들 중 선발주자인 경우에는 이러한 보완재가 다양한 반면, 후발주자의 경우에는 보완재가 상대적으로 다양하지 않음을 관찰할 수 있다. 이를 모형화하여 이동비용 측면에서 비대칭적인 상황이 새익고 이에 따라 각 제품의 가격과 시장점유율이 어떻게 달라지는지를 살펴볼 것이다. 호텔링 선형도시 모형을 통하여 각 기업의 반응함수를 도출하고, 각 제춤의 가격과 시장점유율을 구한다. 이때, 부제품이 있는 주제품의 가격과 시장점유율이 그렇지 않은 주제품의 가격과 시장점유율보다 높음을 보였다. With the popularity of mobile devices, complement devices used together have been developed; IT peripheral equipments and accessories. Due to emergence of these complement devices, off-the-shelf mobile devices can be used in the way the users want. In other words, the users can have additional functions or change the design of their device based on their preference. This phenomenon seems to lower the transportation cost in the hotelling model, which means reducing the psychological distance to the product. Therefore, the variety of any complement thaat is compatible with mobile devices can affect on the demand behaviors with each IT equipment. In this paper, I will derive both the price and market share of each product and then find the methods to help the current market in the hotelling linear city model decomposed by several cases. As a result, I showed that the market share and the price of the product with complement are higher than those of the product that dose not have complement.
바이오가스 내 메탄 정제를 위한 폴리술폰 중공사막의 성능 평가

In this study, the separation characteristics of a polysulfone hollow fiber membrane for the removal of carbon dioxide and sulfur compounds from biogas were analyzed using a bench-scale experimental set-up. The permeance of each component was analyzed using binary mixtures (CH₄/N₂, CO₂/N₂, and CH₄/CO₂). The effects of stage cut and feed pressure on the recovery rate and purity of methane and the removal rate of each impurity were then investigated using a methane-rich mixture that simulates biogas (30% CO₂, 1900 ppm H₂S, 100 ppm COS and 100 ppm CS₂). As the stage cut increased, the CH₄ purity increased while its recovery rate decreased. Meanwhile, the removal efficiency of sulfur compounds was improved with increasing stage cut. It was also found that a higher feed pressure led to an improvement in the removal efficiency of sulfur compounds. In addition, a theoretical model was developed, and model predictions and experimental data were shown to be in good agreement.

In this study, we analyzed the dehydration performance of a vapor permeation process using NaA zeolite membranes for the purification of volatile organic compounds. The experiments were performed using a binary mixture (i.e., 70 wt.% isopropyl alcohol (IPA), 30 wt.% water) with shell and tube type modules in a co-current flow configuration (i.e., feed at the shell side and permeate at the lumen side). The effects of feed flow rate and permeate pressure on separation performance were evaluated under various operating conditions. As the feed flow rate increased, the IPA purity at the retentate side decreased, while the IPA recovery rate increased. Meanwhile, decreasing the permeate pressure increased the purity of IPA and decreased the recovery rate of IPA.
통합 VOCs 정제시스템을 구성하는 투과증발 및 증기투과 공정의 탈수 성능에 관한 연구

An integrated VOCs purification system consisting of vapor permeation and pervaporation processes was proposed in this study. The performance evaluation of each process for dehydration of the IPA-water mixture was conducted experimentally and theoretically. Different types of hollow-fiber membranes were applied to each process, namely a NaA zeolite membrane for the pervaporation and a polyimide membrane for the vapor permeation. The two hollow-fiber modules were evaluated in different operating modes with a concurrent-flow: a lumen-side feed for vapor permeation and a shell-side feed for pervaporation. Parametric investigation was carried out to assess the effect of operating conditions on each performance. In addition, detailed theoretical models have been developed to predict the transmembrane flux in both dehydration processes. The model predictions were verified by comparing with measured data, where good agreement between the prediction results and experimental data was obtained.
