        By the increasing concern about Sasang Constitution Medicine, its practical use is considered very important in disease prevention and medical treatment. However, the method of constitution classification is depending on the doctor's clinical trials because of the lack of the objective test criteria. This study is trying to improve the objectiveness of diagnosis using a new statistical method, decision tree. Decision tree method-a classification technique in the statistical analysis- was used to analyze the result of QSCCII instead of using discriminant analysis. As a result, 16 among 121 QSCCII questions was selected as important questions and 21 terminal nodes was built to classify the constitution. Using only 16 questions shown in the result of decision tree, we can diagnose and interpret the constitution easily and effectively.

        The Usage of an SNP-SNP Relationship Matrix for Best Linear Unbiased Prediction (BLUP) Analysis Using a Community-Based Cohort Study

        Best linear unbiased prediction (BLUP) has been used to estimate the fixed effects and random effects of complex traits. Traditionally, genomic relationship matrix-based (GRM) and random marker-based BLUP analyses are prevalent to estimatethe genetic values of complex traits. We used three methods: GRM-based prediction (G-BLUP), random marker-basedprediction using an identity matrix (so-called single-nucleotide polymorphism [SNP]-BLUP), and SNP-SNP variance-covariancematrix (so-called SNP-GBLUP). We used 35,675 SNPs and R package “rrBLUP” for the BLUP analysis. The SNP-SNP relationshipmatrix was calculated using the GRM and Sherman-Morrison-Woodbury lemma. The SNP-GBLUP result was very similar toG-BLUP in the prediction of genetic values. However, there were many discrepancies between SNP-BLUP and the other twoBLUPs. SNP-GBLUP has the merit to be able to predict genetic values through SNP effects.

      • 우리나라 外換市場介入의 長短期 效果 分析

        본 논문에서는 VAR 모형을 이용해 外換市場介入이 換率에 미치는 영향을 動態的으로 분석하고, 또한 통화량 및 외환시장개입 등의 政策變數와 경상수지 및 이자율 등의 市場變數가 환율에 미치는 상대적인 영향력을 장·단기에 걸쳐 비교하고 있다. 실증분석결과 外換市場介入의 환율에 대한 영향은 단기적으로 일시 나타나기도 하지만 長期的으로 消滅되고, 경상수지의 영향은 초기 이후 단계에도 다소 남아 있는 것으로 나타나고 있다. 換率變動을 설명하는데 있어 외환시장개입은 별로 중요한 역할을 하지 못하고 있는 것으로 나타나고 있다. 환율변동을 설명하는 데 있어 외환시장개입은 별로 중요한 역할을 하지 못하고 있고, 정책변수 중에서는 通貨量이, 그리고 시장변수 중에서는 經常收支가 상대적으로 중요한 역할을 하고 있는 것으로 나타나고 있다.

        건설산업재해 원인분석 조사연구

        This study was conducted to analyze the exact causes of occupational accidents in Korean construction industry and to contribute to the accident prevention programs. The results and conclusions of the field survey are as follows: 1) The accidents caused by hazardous conditions are 96 per cent, and those by unsafe acts are 97.3 per cent. The accidents caused simultaneously by two categories are more than 96 per cent. 2) The injured workers who were employed less than 3 months are 71.1 per cent. Safety training for newly recruited workers should be required. 3) More than 4o per cent of all accidents were occurred in the morning and more than 30 per cent were in summer. Required caution should be paid for the time and season. 4) Fracture, cut/laceration/puncture and multiple injuries in the lower extremeties, upper extremeties and head as well as many kinds of injuries by the fall from elevation mainly occurred. Safety, shoes, safety gloves, safety helmets, safety glasses, face shields and safety belts should be used. 5) As the sources of injuries, each of building/structure and materials is one third of all sources, and machinery is a quarter. 6) The use of hazardous methods/procedures, defects of agencies and inadequate guarding of building/structure, materials and machinery mainly caused the accident types, such as struck by, struck against, fall from elevation, and fall on same level. Such a hazardous condition should not be used and be corrected. 7) The unsafe acts, such as improper use of hands or body parts, the operation or working at unsafe speed and improper use of equipment manly caused accidents. Safety training for the control of such a unsafe acts should be strengthened.

        대장균 세포내 단백질 분해효소, protease Pi의 정제와 특성

        A periplasmic endoprotease, named protease Pi, was purified to homogeneity from Escherkchia coli by conventional procedure with insulin as substrate. This enzyme degrades insulin and glucagon to trichloroacetic acid-soluble meterials, but shows little or no hydrolysis of bovine serum albumin, casein or globin. Its molecular weight was 110, 000 when determined by gel filtration on Sephacryl S-300 and was 105, 000 when estimated by polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis in the presence of sodium dodecyl sulfate. Thus, it appears to be single polypeptide. This snzyme is metalloprotease, since it is completely inhibited by o-phenanthroline and can be activated by addition of divalent metal cations, such as $Mg^{2+}\;and\;Co^{2+}$. It is destinct from protease Ci, a cytoplasmic insulin degrading enzyme, since protease Pi is localized to the periplasm. Since protease Pi selectively degrades GTP cyclohydrolase I, it appears to play a role in the regulation of pteridine biosynthesis.

        음향방출 및 가속도 신호를 이용한 지하매설 상수도배관의 누수지점 탐지연구

        지하매설 상수도 배관의 누수는 사회적, 환경적 그리고 경제적 문제를 야기시킨다. 이러한 누수에 대한 적절한 대응책의 하나로서 배관의 누수지점에 대한 탐지 및 수리가 해당될 것이다. 누수음은 배관의 누수지점의 식별에 좋은 탐지원이다. 비록 청음봉, 층음기 또는 지상마이크로폰과 같은 누수음으로 누수지점을 탐지하는 몇가지의 방법이 있어 왔지만, 그들은 그렇게 효율적인 도구들은 아니었다. 본 논문에서는, 좀 더 쉽고 효율적인 방법을 제공할수도 있는 음향방출센서와 가속도계를 사용한 누수위치탐지를 다룬다. 누수지점 탐지를 위해 센서로 부터의 입력신호에 대한 필터링, 신호처리 및 알고리듬을 기술하였다. 120 미터 길이의 배관이 실험을 위해 설치가 되었고, 실험결과들은 음향방출센서와 가속도계가 누수지점의 정밀탐지에 이용될 수 있음을 보여 주었다. 누수지점의 탐지에 극히 중요한 지하매설배관 속의 유체의 음파 전파속도에 관한 이론적 해석 또한 기술되었다. Leaks in underground pipelines can cause social, environmental and economical problems. One of relevant countermeasures against leaks is to find and repair of leak points of the pipes. Leak noise is a good source to identify the location of leak points of the pipelines. Although there have been several methods to detect the leak location with leak noise, such as listening rods, hydrophones or ground microphones, they have not been so efficient tools. In this paper, acoustic emission(AE) sensors and accelermeters are used to detect leak locations which could provide an easier and more efficient method. Filtering, signal processing and algorithm of raw input data from sensors for the detection of leak location are described. A 120 m-long pipeline system for experiment is installed and the results with the system show that the algorithm with the AE sensors and accelerometers offers accurate pinpointing of leaks. Theoretical analysis of sound wave propagation speed of water in underground pipes, which is critically important in leak locating, is also described.
