The hybrid air-conditioner, where air is cooled both by convection and radiation, is developed. The indoor unit of the air-conditioner consists of radiation panel and dehumidification coil, where refrigeration R-134a is supplied by independent refrigeration cycles. Optimum refrigerant charge was 750g for both cycles. Optimum evaporation pressure was 3.7 bar for the radiation panel cycle and 3.9 bar for the dehumidication cycle. The cooling capacity of the radiation panel was 1.01 ㎾ and that of the dehumidification coil was 0.94kW, which yielded COP of 3.3.

본 연구에서는 18 개 채널로 구성된 수직 헤더 평판관 열교환기에서 냉매분배특성을 R-410a 냉매를 사용하여 실험적으로 검토하였다. 시료 1(8:10)와 시료 2(6:12)의 두 형상에 대하여 유량별, 입구위치변화, 출구위치변화에 따라서 실험을 시행하였다. 유량별 분배는 본 실험범위 50 ≤ G ≤ 70 ㎏/㎡s 내에서는 크게 차이 나지 않았다. 입구 위치에 따른 분배특성은 중력방향의 영향으로 밀도가 큰 액체는 아래 방향으로 흐르게 되며, 윗 채널에는 기체만 들어가게 되므로 입구 위치는 상부에 위치하는 것이 냉매 분배에 좋은 것으로 나타났다. 출구에서의 상태가 건도 1이 넘는 과열증기 상태이므로 출구의 위치가 냉매분배에 미치는 영향이 미미함을 알 수 있었다. In this study, the refrigerant distribution characteristics were experimentally investigated in a 18 channel vertical header of parallel flow heat exchanger. Two samples were tested for a range of inlet location(Top, Middle, Bottom), outlet location(Top, Middle, Bottom), mass flux(50 ≤ G ≤ 70 ㎏/㎡s). Heat was supplied to the test section by plate heaters attached to flat tubes. For the present experimental range of 50 ≤ G ≤ 70 ㎏/㎡s, the effect of mass flux on the flow distribution was not pronounced. As for the inlet, more uniform flow distribution was obtained at upper location compared with other locations, probably due to the action of gravity. The effect of outlet location on refrigerant distribution was not pronounced.

The present study experimentally investigated on flow boiling test using an environment-friendly refrigerant R-1233zd(E) on plain tube. The main dimensions are 4.4 mm in wall thickness, 19.05 mm in outer diameter, and 10.00 mm in inner diameter. The inner groove of the tube was not processed. Test apparatus consisted of a test section, micro-gear pump, condensation section, pre-heater and test section. Tests were conducted for the following range; mass flux 2~6 kg/m²s, heat flux from 5 to 40 kW/m² and saturation temperature 26.7℃. As a result of comparing the experimental data with Chen model, the most data were predicted within ±20%. The heat transfer coefficients of forced convective boiling in a bundle were strongly dependent on the heat flux with negligible dependency on mass flux except for lower mass flux.

This study is an evaluation of the pool boiling heat transfer performance of R-1234ze(E) through Wilson plot method with plain and two kind of commercial enhanced tubes, as replacements for R-134a. The Wilson plot method was validated and used to characterize the inside heat transfer coefficient of the heating water. Pool boiling tests were carried out for saturation temperature 4.4℃ and heat flux form 10 to 50 kW/㎡, based on the outer diameter. Results show that the pool boiling heat transfer coefficients of R-1234ze(E) was obtained slightly lower than the those of R-134a. And it was compared with the existing correlations. Also, compared with the heat transfer coefficients of the smooth tube, the heat transfer coefficients of the enhanced tube 1, 2 were 2.3, 5.0 times higher for R-134a and 2.1, 4.2 times higher for R-1234ze(E), respectively.

Performance of the small built-in ice maker operating with R-134a was experimentally investigated. Optimum refrigerant charge was obtained to be 200 g. At the optimum condition, consumed power was 479 W, consumed ice-making time was 17minutes 53seconds, daily production rate was 30.6 ㎏. Experiments were also conducted at various indoor temperatures. The ice production rate increased as the indoor temperature decreased.
