        3차원 공간으로 복제된 인간 형상 오브제에 음악과 동기화한 콘텐츠의 매핑

        현시대의 사회적 환경은 디지털화되고 있으며, 미디어의 발전으로 대중들은 아날로그보다 디지털에 익숙해지고 있다. 그러한 사회 구조 속에서 대두되고 있는 미디어아트는 다양한 작업방식 중에서 프로젝션 매핑 방식이 많이 활용되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 ‘Cloned Me’ 작품을 바탕으로 프로젝션 매핑 작품 구현 과정에 대해 논하고자 한다. 음악을 가시화한 영상 콘텐츠를 제작하고 철 구조물 위에 프로젝션 매핑으로 영상 콘텐츠를 투사하는 방식으로 작품이 구현된다. 스토리를 담은 오브제를 제작하고 그 위에 프로젝션 매핑 방식으로 영상 콘텐츠를 투사함으로써 기존의 미디어 파사드와 차별성을 가진다. 오브제와 콘텐츠 사이를 연결하는 스토리와 구성이 존재하고 상호보완적 수정이 용이하다는 것이 장점이다. 프로젝션이 투사되는 면이 사각형의 고정된 프레임에서 벗어나 독특한 구조를 이룬다. 복제가 가능한 디지털 기술이 발전한 현시대의 상을 반영해주는 작품이라는 점에서 의의를 지닌다. In the contemporary age, social environment has changed from analog to digital. As a media is developed, the public is more familiar to digital than analog. In this society, media art rises as new art. One of the most useful methods in the media art is projection mapping. In this paper, I propose a realization process of artwork ‘Cloned Me’ that is realized by projection mapping method. Artwork is formed by projecting image contents that are visualized a music on a steel structure. It is different from media facade that the object projected contents has a story composition. It is a strength that the object and contents are connected by story and composition. Also it can be modified each other easily for harmony because the structure is assembly-type. A face that is projected by beam projection is consist of unique structure not fixed rectangular frame. Artwork ‘Cloned Me’ has significance that it reflects the present age to develop digital cloning.

        에너지 음료가 치아 법랑질 침식 및 치아성장에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to evaluate the influence of energy drinks on the erosion of dental enamel and mouse teeth growth. Exposure of enamel surface to energy drinks stimulated the release of the calcium from enamel surface of teeth. And the surface microhardness of enamel decreased after immersion in energy drinks. Enamel demineralization effects under energy drinks were observed by scanning electron microscope. Effect of maternal energy drink intake on tooth morphology of offsprings was analyzed. We concluded that the energy drinks produced a significant erosion of dental enamel.

        커큐민에 의한 노치발현 조절에서 Sp의 역할

        Curcumin has diverse anticancer activities that lead to tumor growth inhibition of cancer cells and induction of apoptosis. Curcumin is involved in the regulation of multiple genes via transcription factors including NF-kB, STATs, AP1, and SP. Notch signaling plays critical roles in maintaining the balance between cell proliferation, differentiation and apoptosis, and thereby may contribute to the development of various cancers involving breast cancer. This study was to investigate the effects of curcumin on Notch1 gene expression and to explore the underlying mechanism. Here, we found that curcumin decreased the levels of Notch1 mRNA and protein in MDA-MB-231 human breast cancer cells, along with the downregulation of Sp family genes (Sp1, Sp2, Sp3, and Sp4). The repressive effect of curcumin on Notch1 gene transcription was confirmed by performing Notch1 promoter- driven reporter assay and three Sp-binding sites were identified on Notch1 promoter that may act as curcumin-respose elements. Moreover, treatment with mitramycin A, a specific Sp inhibitor, decreased the levels of Notch1 mRNA and protein in human breast cancer cells. Taken together, our results indicate that Notch1 gene expression is downregulated by curcumin, at least in part, through the suppression of Sp family, which may lead to apoptosis in human breast cancer cells.

        Expression of Stromal Derived Factor-1 is Upregulated in Macrophages during Thymic Regeneration in Adult Rat

        성체흰쥐의 경우 항암제인 싸이클로포스파마이드(CY)처리로 퇴축된 가슴샘은 2주 후에 정상조직으로 재생된다. 가슴샘 발생과정에서 이미 알려진 SDF-1 신호전달의 중요성과는 달리 성체의 가슴샘 재생과정에서 그 역할에 관해서는 알려진 바 전혀 없다. 본 연구의 목적은 발생중인 가슴샘에서 발현이 증가된다고 이미 알려져 있는 SDF-1 이 성체의 가슴샘재생과정에서 어떤 발현 양상을 보이는지를 조사하는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 사이클로포스파마이드(cyclophosphamide: CY)를 투여하여 가슴샘의 급성 퇴축을 유발시킨 후, 가슴샘 재생과정동안 SDF-1의 발현 특성을 면역조직화학, 이중면역염색 형광법, 역전사 중합효소 연쇄반응법을 이용하여 조사하였다. 그 결과, SDF-1은 가슴샘의 급성 퇴축 이후 7일째 되는 시기에 mRNA와 단백질의 양이 급격히 증가하였으며, 이중면역염색 형광법을 통해 큰포식 세포와 위치적 분포가 일치함을 확인하였다. 따라서, 본 연구 결과들을 통해 SDF-1은 가슴샘의 급성 퇴축 초기 과정에서 나타나는 손상된 세포를 처리하는 큰포식 세포의 기능 조절에 관여할 것으로 생각된다. Stromal derived factor-1 (SDF-1 or CXCL12), one of the CXC chemokines, is widely expressed in many tissues, including the thymus. The thymus can regenerate to its normal mass within 14 days after acute involution induced by cyclophosphamide (CY) in adult rats. Despite the established role of SDF-1 signaling in the development of T and B lymphocytes in the thymus, it has not yet been associated with the regeneration of the adult thymus. The purpose of this study was to investigate whether SDF-1, which is expressed in thymic stromal cells, is modulated during thymic regeneration in adult rats. Here, we showed that SDF-1 mRNAs were expressed in high levels in the thymocyte and thymic stromal cells at day 7 of the CY model. SDF-1 protein was shown to be present at the cortex-medulla junction, paraseptum and within the thymic medulla. Double-immunofluorescence for SDF-1 and ED-1 showed that strong SDF-1 expression was detected in the macrophages of the medulla region displaying immunoreactivity for ED-1 during thymus regeneration. Taken together, our results demonstrated that SDF-1 expression increased in regenerating thymic macrophages, suggesting the roles of SDF-1 as a chemo-attractant for damaged cells produced in the process of thymic regeneration after acute involution induced by CY.

        돌연변이 p53 단백질의 Silencing에 의한 사람유방암세포의 in vivo 항종양 효과

        Mutant p53 (R280K) is highly expressed in MDAMB-231 triple-negative human breast cancer cells. Currently, we reported the role of mutant p53-R280K in mediating the survival of MDA-MB-231 cells in vitro. The present study was undertaken to determine whether mutant p53-R280K affects breast cancer cell growth in vivo. To this end, we used small interfering RNA to knockdown the level of mutant p53- R280K in MDA-MB-231 cells. Silencing of mutant p53- R280K in MDA-MB-231 cells causes substantial tumor regression of established xenografts in vivo. In xenograft model for breast cancer, silencing of mutant p53-R280K in MDAMB-231 cells significantly inhibited the tumor growth. Moreover, TUNEL assay showed more occurrence of apoptotic cells in mutant p53-R280K silenced tumors compared to control. Our data indicate that mutant p53-R280K has an important role in mediating tumor growth of MDA-MB-231 cells in vivo. Taken together, this study suggests that endogenous mutant p53-R280K could be used as a therapeutic target for breast cancer cells harboring this TP53 missense mutation.

        유방암세포 성장과 Bmi-1 발현에 대한 레스베라트롤의 억제 효과

        Resveratrol has been actively investigated as an anticancer drug since it induces cell growth inhibition and apoptosis in many cancer cells. Resveratrol acts through modulation of multiple pathways and genes. In this study, we found resveratrol reduced cell growth and mammosphere formation in MDA-MB-231 triple-negative human breast cancer cells. This suppressive effect of resveratrol is accompanied by a reduction in Bmi-1 gene expression. We also observed that knockdown of Bmi-1 gene by small interfering RNA effectively sensitizes breast cancer cells to resveratrol treatment. Our data demonstrate, for the first time, that resveratrol down-regulates Bmi-1 expression in human breast cancer cells and suggest that specific molecular targeting of Bmi-1 can be combined with a chemotherapeutic strategy to improve the response of breast cancer cells to resveratrol.

        트롬복산 수용체 활성화가 인터루킨-8 발현에 미치는 영향

        Thromboxane A₂ (TXA₂) is one of major proinflammatory mediators, plays an important role in the development of vascular inflammatory diseases. TXA₂ acting through the thromboxane receptor regulates multiple pathways and genes in a variety of cells. In this study, we report that the activation of thromboxane receptor with U46619 increases the interleukin-8 (IL-8) mRNA in vascular endothelial cells. We also demonstrated that U46619 produces the activations of extracellular signal-regulated kinase 1/2 (ERK1/2) and p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK), which is required for endothelial IL-8 production. And U46619 enhanced mRNA stability of IL-8 transcripts in endothelial cells. Moreover, inhibition of ERK1/2 or p38MAPK reduced monocyte adhesion to aortic endothelium stimulated by U46619. Therefore, these results suggest that activation of thromboxane receptor promotes the expression of IL-8 via ERK1/2 and p38MAPK activation in endothelial cells.
