        치자(梔子) 약침(藥鍼)이 백서(白鼠) 모델 足과(족과) 념좌(捻挫) 통증(痛症)에 미치는 영향(影響)

        Objective: Frutus gardeniae, seed of Gardenia jasminoides Ellis is one of the crude drugs used for the treatment of inflammatory condition in oriental medicine. Methodes: The present study aimed to examine the analgesic effect and anti-inflammatory effect of Frutus gardeniae extract FGE) on a rat model of ankle sprain pain, and the relations between FGE-induced effect and endogenous nitric oxide (NO) and inducible NO synthase (iNOS), cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), and c-Fos protein expression in the spinal cord. As a chronic pain model, ankle sprain pain model was used to test the effect of FGE injection applied to acupuncture point. After the induction of ankle sprain, rats subsequently showed a reduced stepping force of the affected limb for at least the next 4 days. The reduced stepping force of the limb was presumably due to a painful knee. FGE dissolved in normal saline was injected several acupoints. Results: After the treatment, behavioral tests measuring stepping force were periodically conducted during the next 8 hours. FGE produced significant improvement of stepping force of the hindlimb affected by the ankle sprain lasting at least 4 hours. FGE produced the improvement of stepping force of the affected hindlimb in a dose-dependent manner. In addition, FGE injection showed inhibitory effect on the paw edema induced by ankle sprain. Both NO production and iNOS, COX-2 protein expression increased by ankle sprain were suppressed by FGE. FGE on combination with electroacupuncture (EA) produced more powerful and longer lasting improvement of stepping force of the hindlimb affected by the ankle sprain than either FGE or EA did. The present study suggest that FGE produces a potent analgesic effect on the ankle sprain pain model of the rat and that FGE-induced analgesia modulate endogenous NO through the suppression of iNOS/COX-2 protein expression.

        자침시(刺鍼時) 탄침(彈鍼)의 수기자극(手技刺戟)이 전위변화(電位變化)에 미치는 영향(影響)

        Objectives: To understanding biological mechanism of acupuncture therapy, we have proposed a hypothesis. First of all, there exists electric property in meridian and meridian point. Second of all, energy flowing in meridian is related with electric property. Third of all, there is electronic interaction between the operator who performs acupuncture therapy and the receiver who is given acupuncture therapy. Forth of all, acupuncture effects may depend on the electric capacity which is transferred between the operator and the receiver via acupuncture needle. Methods: Under the hypothesis, we studied the effects of electric charge in ST37(+) and ST39(-) generated by Tanchim (彈鍼) manipulation which was stimulated at ST36 point. And compared with data on the changes of electric charge from the hand of the operator during acupuncture stimulation. Electric charge induced via acupuncture needle from the operator may be important factor that causes the changes of electric charge in meridian and acupoint in the receiver. Therefore we investigated the changes of electric charge induced by the operator using Maclab 400 by the following methods. The one was in stable electric circle condition and the other was in unstable electric circle condition. Results: In this experiments, the changes of electric charge from the stimulation type of Tanchim manipulation performed in our lab condition in acupuncture therapy was induced at least three factor, one was the difference of bio-potentials between the operator and the receiver of acupuncture therapy, another was the depth of acupuncture insertion from the skin of the receiver, the otter was an electromyogram of the receiver. Conclusion: The data imply that the first factor should make a capacitance current when the operator touched the acupuncture needle which was inserted in the receiver. Therefore, the results suggest that capacitance currents stimulus in electronic view may be important factor in acupuncture therapy between the operator and the receiver of acupuncture therapy.

        족삼음경(足三陰經) 형혈(滎穴) 자침(刺鍼)이 흉복부(胸腹部)의 체열변화(體熱變化)에 미치는 영향(影響)

        Objectives: This study was examined for effects of acupuncture of Hyeong points` Acupuncture of Three Foot-eum Collaterals on the abdominal thermography of health subject. Methods: The volunteers who participating in this study had taken rest for 20-30 minutes in room temperature (23-25℃) before the examination and informed them what to prohibit smoking, drinking and administration of drug for the previous day. The thermography of abdomen including a below part of the chest was taken using Infra-Red Imaging System (IR 2000, MEDI-CORE Co., Korea) by time interval of 15 minutes at 15 minutes before, just before and 15 minutes after, 30 minutes after and 45 minutes after acupuncture stimulation. Acupuncture was applied to the left Hyeong points` Acupuncture of Three Foot-eum Collaterals for 30 minutes. Results: The results showed that acupuncture of Hyeong points had more potencies of changes on all the ROIs of abdominal thermography than those of control group. Also, it was observed that the quantities of thermal changes following acupuncture of Hyeong points been increased comparing that of control group at all the ROIs (region of interest). Observed the thermography classified by ROI, however, it was failed that acupuncture of Hyeong points could modulate the specific areas concerning to the abdominal pathway of Three Foot-eum Collaterals. Conclusions: These results suggest that acupuncture of Hyeong points may modulate thermal distributions and changes of abdominal areas including the below of chest.

        개심술환자에서 Fibrinogen Degradation Products 와 Fibrin Degradation Products 농도의 변화

        There were many researches, which qualitative or quantitative assays were performed about fibrinolysis and the degree of activation of coagulation system. Authors measured fibrinogen degradation products(FbDP) and fibrin degradation products(FbDP) by monoclonal enzymeimmunoassay, instead of polyclonal method in 12 cases of cardiopulmonary bypass(CPB). 1) The increase of FgDP after sternotomy is verifying the significant fibrino(geno) lysis occured by stimulation of sternotomy. 2) By the result that FgDP was significantly increased compared with FbDP, primary fibrinogenolysis is more important phenomenon than secondary fibrinolysis during CPB. 3) FbDP and FgDP were most significantly increased immediately before the end of CPB and after CPB. 4) Increased FgDP was decreased after CPB but FbDP was still elevated 5 hours after CPB. According to the above results, CPB induced primary fibrinogenolysis and secondary fibrinolysis in open heart surgery.

        간절제시 간정맥보존의 의의에 관한 실험적 연구

        There has been a recent upsurge of systematic limited resection for hepatocellular carcinoma in patients with compromised functional reserve of the liver due to coexistence of chronic liver disease. The ultimate goal of this type of resection is to save marginal amount of noncancerous hepatic mass while radically removing the cancerous tissues. When the tumor is located in close proximity to right hepatic vein, i.e. segment VII or VIII, it often becomes necessary to remove the vein along with the tumor. The issue here is the fate of segment VI without its major draining vein. In the experimental study, the rats were divided into two groups: Group-Ⅰ (Gp-Ⅰ) had only hepatectomy and Group-Ⅱ(Gp-Ⅱ) had ligation of one hepatic vein in addition to hepatectomy. The parenchyma without draining veins revealed severe congestion and necrosis, and transaminase in Gr-Ⅱ rose significantly higher than Gr-Ⅰ soon after operation. The hepatic volume of the vein-ligated region decreased considerablely on the 7th postoperative day. The degree of hepatic regeneration had been measured by the proliferative index using flow cytometry. DNA synthesis was delayed and depressed in the insulted parenchyma. Experimental results suggest that the vein-ligated region cannot be expected to contribute significantly to postoperative liver function at least in the early postoperative period, and hepatic failure may ensue in the marginal cirrhotic liver.
