과다 예압을 받는 테이퍼롤러 베어링의 수명단축효과에 대한 실험적 연구

테이퍼롤러 베어링은 축하중과 반경방향 하중이 동시에 인가되는 회전기계의 핵심 부품으로, 자동차 입력축과 출력축의 지지 베어링 등에 주로 사용되고 있다. 특히, 변속기에 사용되는 테이퍼롤러베어링의 경우 조립시에 축방향 과다 예압이 인가된 상태로 조립된 경우 베어링의 수명이 단축되는 결과를 가져올 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 테이퍼롤러 베어링의 축방향 과다 예압에 의한 수명 단축 효과를 실험적으로 검증하고 그 결과에 의한 베어링의 수명 분포를 분석하였다. 또한, 기존의 L₁? 수명식에 비하여 현장 작동 조건에 따른 실질적인 수명을 산출할 수 있는 축방향과 반경방향을 고려한 수명식을 도출하고 이를 프로그램화 하여 설계 및 생산 현장에서 용이하게 활용할 수 있도록 하였다. Tapered roller bearings are core components of rotating machine parts and are simultaneously subjected to axial and radial loads. Life-shortening effect was particularly evident in the case of tapered roller bearings used in the input and output shafts of transmission; this shortening of life was a result of excessive axial pre-load, which is common in the transmission assembly line. In this study, we derived an equation for evaluating the life of tapered roller bearings subjected to excessive pre-load by using accelerated life test data. The DOE(Design Of Experiment) method and FEA(Finite Element Analysis) was used for determining the condition for performing an accelerated life test. This equation for evaluating the service life of the bearings was derived by analyzing the Weibull distribution of the test results. Using the derived equation the life evaluated was 6-7 times longer than that evaluated by the conventional L₁? bearing-life equation. The results of this study will be helpful in predicting the life of tapered roller bearings subjected to excessive pre-load and in designing reliable rotating machines.
볼 베어링의 결함검출을 위한 Adaptive Line Enhancer의 적용

The early detection of the bearing defects in rotating machinery is very important since the critical failure of bearing causes a machinery shutdown. However it is not easy to detect the vibration signal caused by the initial defects of bearing because of the high level of random noise. A signal processing technique, called the adaptive line enhancer(ALE) as one of adaptive filter, is used in this study. This technique is to eliminate random noise with little a prior knowledge of the noise and signal characteristics. Also we propose the optimal methods for selecting the three main ALE parameters such as correlation length, filter order and adaptation constant. Vibration signals for three abnormal bearings, including inner and outer raceways and ball defects, were acquired by Anderon(angular derivative of radius on) meter. The experimental results showed that ALE is very useful for detecting the bearing defective signals masked by random noise.
