본 논문은 전계를 이용하여 미생물체를 비접촉으로 개별조작하는 초소형 융합기와 선별기의 제작에 관하여 기술하였다. 본 논문에서 확립한 제작공정은 20㎛ 두께의 폴리이미드 구조물 제작공정, 기반층을 사용하지 않는 전기도금 공정, 전극 간의 누설전류 저감 공정 등이다. 이런 단위공정을 확립하고 세포를 Dielectrophoresis현상으로 조작하여 융합하고 선별하는 초소형 융합기와 선별기를 제작하였다. 이 기구들의 전계는 수치적으로 해석하여 설계하였고, 전극과 절연구조물, 유체통로를 도금과 폴리이미드 공정 등을 이용하여 제작하였다. (100) 실리콘 기판위에 높이 20㎛, 폭 50㎛의 유체통로와 절연구조물을 감광성 폴리이미드로 제작하여 공정수를 줄였고, 도금시 유체통로로 금속이 성장하는 것을 고려하여 포토마스크의 전극 패턴으로 보상하여 제작하였다. 아울러, 기반층을 사용하지 않고 직접 실리콘 위에 구리도금을 하여 기반층을 형성하는 공정을 줄였고, 붕소를 주입하여 전극 간의 누설전류를 4분의 1로 저감시키는 공정을 확립하여 실험으로 효율성을 보였다. The fabrication processes of micro biological cell-manipulators are presented. The micro biological cell-manipulators are composed of flow channels, insulating structures and electrodes whose thickness is about 20㎛. The insulating structures and the flow channels are fabricated using a photosensitive polyimide by one photolithography process. Using a conductive substrate(n-type silicon), the electrodes are electroplated selectively on the electroplating site without any seed layers. Also, the boron implantation process is added for the reduction of the leakage current beneath the electrodes. As the experimental results, the leakage current is reduced from 100nA to 24nA. The fusion chamber and the selector are designed and fabricated. The fabrication processes and the fabrication results are discussed.

This study was conducted to find out current status and characteristics, so that the result could provide basic data to establish prevention programs for hip fracture among the elderly. The data were coolected from 199 cases hospitalized in 4 university hospitals in Pusan during three years period from January, 1966 to December, 1998. The data were obtained from medical records and by using questionnaires through telephone contact or direct personal interview with the subjects or their family, and were analyzed with x2-test. The results were as follow: The mean age of elderly hip fractured cases was 75.7 years, and 61.8% were female. The average hospital stay of the cases was 30.8 days, and 73.9% survived. Femur neck fracture cases comprised 51.7% of the toral cases, while trochanteric fracture cases comprised 48.3%. The hip fracture occurred more frequently during the day, shown as 66.9%, and the most frequently due to trips(44.2%), followed by slips(322%), c1ash(14.6%), dizziness(7.5%), and 00 on. Femur neck fracture, however, occurred the most frequently due to trips(51.5%) and, on the other hand, trochanteric fracture due to slips(40.6%) and trips(36.5%). About two third of hip fracture(67.8%) occurred inside of the building. The most frequently mentioned location for hip fractures was rooms or floors(32.1%), followed by streets(24.1%), bathrooms(17.6%), stairways(13.1%), and so on. Trochanteric fracture, especially, more frequently occurred inside of the building(71.9%) as compared to femur neck fracture(64.1 %). The rate of independent indoor walking in femur neck fractured cases reduced from 88.3% to 74.8% after fracture incidences, while the rate reduced from 86.0% to 45.8% in trochanteric fracture cases. It indicated that trochanteric fractures affected the walking ability of the elderly more severely that femur neck fractures. In conclusion, hip fracture occurs as a combined result of aging characteristics, environmental factors, and health related characteristics. Future studies that investigaterisk factors of hip fracture in elderly are recommended.

Chemistry contents in the chemistry textbooks from primary to high school were investigated to consider the effectiveness of curricular articulation. For this purpose, the five subjects of chemistry contests, that is the science of materials, the atomic structure and periodic law, the chemical bonds and compounds, the state of materials and solutions and the chemical reactions, were selected from curriculum of high school, and the learning purpose and contents were analyzed through the classification rules of Ministry of Education. The results of analysis showed that articulation of the four subjects of chemistry contents were relatively effective in step of development, but the inefficiency partly appeared in case of comparing with the level of intellectual development of student. To develope the curricular articulation between the school units it is important that textbooks should be with the consistent plan after the discussion with the actual teachers of the school units.

The invention education should not limit a unit of HR activity but make students the permanent invention-class that is able to offer the chances of the continent and autonomous activities. It is indispensible for students to break up creativity-training. The conclusions of this study were as follows, 1. The permanent-invention class in the primary school was the useful means to let children fulfill the continuous and organized invention education. 2. The invention-worksheets was the useful means to let children have the curiosity in the daily life and improve the creative mind and talent. 3. The Invention-learning that to concentrated program of various creativity developments was to useful means to let children gain confidence in themselves through making and exhibiting their works. 4. Most of children are being increased creative minds by experiencing group-activity and brain-storming activity. 5. The integrated class (third, fourth, fifth and sixth grade) was good at organizing and operating the invention program. In order to verify the conclusions of this study, nothing can be obtained without: first, the various teaching method and materials, second, competent teachers. third, national support. last, development of invention-education programs.
