This paper presents the probabilistic analysis for fatigue life of Glass/Epoxy laminates with impact-induced damage. For this, a series of impact tests were performed using instrumented impact testing machine. Then, tensile and fatigue tests carried out so as to generate post-impact residual strength and fatigue life. Two Parameter Weibull distribution was used to fit the residual strength and fatigue life data of composite laminates. The variance of residual strength decreased with increasing of impact energy. The fatigue life of impacted laminates was greatly reduced by impact energy and this trend depended on applied stress amplitude. Also, the variation of fatigue life was gradually decreased with the applied stress amplitude.

The naval structure exposes to a variety of natural and man-made environments during its operational life. Reliability analysis of naval structure designed for long lives should be estimate the fatigue strength at long fatigue lives. For this purpose, the applied stress of structure under the variable service conditions needs to be considered. The fatigue strength of A356-T6 under axial load condition was evaluated by staircase method at stress ratio R=O.1. The fatigue strength at 2.0E6 cycles was estimated by Weibull distribution and compared with load conditions. The reliability of naval structure for long lives was obtained by the strength-stress interference model.
