Dibucaine hydrochloride is an amide-type local anesthetic and it is well known to be a contact allergen. Although there are some reports of allergic contact dermatitis due to over-the-counter medications containing dibucaine in the foreign literature, there is only one report of it in the Korean literature. We report here on a case of allergic contact dermatitis due to an over-the-counter drug containing dibucaine in a 41-year-old-woman. The patch test with the preparation that she had used and the TRUE(R) test revealed positive reactions to the dibucaine mix and Moscool(R). (Korean J Dermatol 2011;49(6):546∼549)

Nevus with cyst is defined as a single lesion in which there is the coexistence of an epidermoid cyst and a melanocytic nevus. Similar clinical and histopathologic changes can be observed when a hair follicle ruptures and subsequent folliculitis with supprative granulomatous reaction occurs beneath a melanocytic nevus. This cystic change due to inflammation is a different pathologic phenomenon from the formation of an epidermal cyst. Hence, it is necessary to differentiate between these two conditions. We report here on a case of congenital melanocytic nevus combined with cystic change due to inflammation in a 39-year-old man. (Korean J Dermatol 2010;48(12): 1078∼1080)

Hypertrichosis is a condition of excessive hair growing in areas of the body where androgen is not predominantly dependent. It has been classified into localized and generalized based on the extent of distribution. Generalized hypertrichosis may occur as part of a syndrome or a metabolic disorder. A 55-month-old girl visited our department with accentuation of thick hairs on her mid-back and face since birth. She was diagnosed as developmental retardation at the age of 10 months. None of her family members had hypertrichosis. No abnormal findings were shown on chromosomal and laboratory studies. Therefore, we diagnosed her as generalized hypertrichosis with developmental delay. (Korean J Dermatol 2012;50(2):171~174)

The fracture behaviors of Zr-based bulk amorphous metals(BAMs) having compositions of Zr55Al10Ni5Cu30, were<br/> investigated under impact loading and quasi-static conditions. For experiments, a newly devised instrumented impact<br/> testing apparatus and the subsize Charpy specimens were used. The influences of loading rate and the notch shape on<br/> the fracture behavior of the Zr-based BAM were examined. The Zr-based BAMs showed an elastic deformation<br/> behavior without any plastic deformation on it before fracture. Most fracture energies were absorbed in the process of<br/> the crack initiation. The maximum load and fracture absorbed energy under quasi-static condition were larger than those<br/> under impact condition. However, there existed relatively insignificant notch shape effect. Fracture surfaces under<br/> impact loading were smoother than those under quasi-static loading. The absorbed fracture energy appeared differently<br/> depending on the extent of the vein-like pattern region due to the shear bands developed at the notch tip. It can be found<br/> that the fracture energy of the Zr-Al-Ni-Cu alloy is closely related with the development of shear bands during fracture.

Recent research has focused on engine combustion technology as well as application of after-treatment in order to comply with emission regulation. However, it is much more efficient way to control emissions from engine itself and furthermore research on engine control will provide the direction of after-treatment technology in future. Furthermore, emission standard regulation for passenger diesel vehicles has been stringent compared to others and nano-particles will be included in EURO6 regulation in Europe and similar emission standard will be introduced in Korea. A 3.0 liter high speed diesel engine equipped with by CRDI system of 160MPa injection pressure, and an intake/exhaust system of V type 6 cylinder turbo-intercooler was applied. The injection duration and injection quantity, pilot injection types which are related to CRDI and air/fuel ratio control applied by EVGT were changed simultaneously. Standard experiment procedure constituted dilution apparatus and CPC system to collect nano-particles and these test results were compared with regulated materials of CO, HC, NOx and investigated their relations and characteristics of nano-particles.
Zr-기 벌크 아몰퍼스 금속의 파괴거동에 미치는 부하속도와 노치 형상의 영향

In order to investigate the mechanical behavior of newly developed materials such as BAMs or BMGs, the evaluation of mechanical properties using small-size specimen is essential. An instrumented impact testing apparatus which provides the load-displacement curve under impact loading without oscillations was used. The influences of loading rate, notch shape on the fracture behavior of the Zr-based bulk amorphous metal(BAM) were examined. In addition, throughout the 3 dimensional topology analysis of fracture surfaces after testing, fracture characteristics of BAMs under different conditions were investigated. The absorbed impact energy in the Zr-based BAM was largely consumed in the process for crack initiation not for crack propagation. The absorbed impact energy increased with increasing of the radius of notch tip. The Zr-based BAM showed a significant notch sensitivity. Fracture surface under impact loading condition was more smooth than that under quasi-static loading condition. Depending on the appearance and distribution of shear bands developed, the absorbed energy appeared differently. It can be found that the resulting toughening of the Zr-based BAM was closely related with the development of shear bands and the fractography.

무안경 3D 입체 디스플레이 장치는 패럴렉스 배리어(Parallax barrier)와 렌티큘러 렌즈(Lenticular lens)의 기반의 장치로 구분된다. 무안경 입체 디스플레이 장치를 통하여 입체영상을 디스플레이하기 위해서는 다중 시점(multi-view) 촬영 영상들의 서브픽셀 인터레이싱 방법을 통하여 하나의 영상으로 합성되어야 한다. 본 연구는 렌티큘러 렌즈 기반의 입체 디스플레이 장치에서 렌티클러 렌즈의 속성에 따라 적응적으로 서브픽셀 인터레이싱 될 수 있는 기법을 제안하기 위한 사전 연구로서 기존에 발표된 서브픽셀 인터레이싱 기법의 종류를 분류하고 각 기법의 특성을 분석하고자 한다.

In order to investigate the mechanical behavior of newly developed materials, the evaluation of mechanical properties<br/> using small-size specimen is essential. For those purposes, an instrumented impact testing apparatus, which provides the<br/> load-displacement curve under impact loading without oscillations, was devised. To develop the test procedure with the<br/> setup, the impact behaviors of various kinds of structural materials such as S45C, SCM4, Ti alloys (Ti-6V-4Al) and Zrbased<br/> bulk amorphous metal, were investigated through the instrumented Charpy V-notch impact tests. The<br/> calibrations of the dynamic load and displacement that was calculated based on the Newton’s second law were carried<br/> out through the quasi-static load test and the comparison of a directly measured value using a laser displacement meter.<br/> Satisfactory results could be obtained. The crack initiation and propagation processes during impact fracture could be<br/> well divided on the curve, depending on the intrinsic characteristic of specimen tested; ductile or brittle. The absorbed<br/> impact energy in Zr-basd BAM was largely used for crack initiation not for crack propagation process. The fracture<br/> surfaces under impact loading showed different feature when compared with the static cases.
