Backgound : With advances in medicine and materials engineering, biomaterials, such as silicone and titanium are used in many tissue regeneration cases. Many studies are being conducted to confirm the reactivity of cells to various biomaterials. Among these studies, fibroblast proliferation and differentiation are known as important factors related to capsulation. In this study, we attempted to determine how various sized polyurethane acrylate (PUA) nanopillar structures act on fibroblast proliferation and differentiation. Methods : The scaffolds were prepared in four groups: flat and nanopillar (350 nm, 500 nm, 1,000 nm). Flat group was used as a control. To evaluate the effect of scaffolds of nanopillar structures on fibroblasts, quantitatively analyzed for the degree of adhesion, proliferation and alpha-smooth muscle actin (α-SMA) expression of cells. Results : As a result of the MTT assay, the proliferation was lower than that of the flat group in the nanopillar group. As a result of staining, the intensity of F-actin was significantly different from that of the flat group. And the intensity of α-SMA was different from that of the flat group but not significantly. Conclusions : The nanopillar structure of PUA material seems to play a role in inhibiting the proliferation and differentiation of fibroblasts regardless of the size of the structure. This suggests that the use of PUA nanopillar implants may be effective in suppressing fibrosis due to fibroblast proliferation and differentiation.
활성탄을 이용한 톳(Sargassum fusiforme) 자숙농축액 내 무기비소 저감 기술

The edible sargasso seaweed hijiki Sargassum fusiforme is known to have high concentration of arsenic, which is a threat to human health, particularly due to inorganic arsenic. In this study, various methods were used to remove inorganic arsenic from steamed hijiki concentrate. The highest concentration of arsenate [As(V)] in both raw and processed hijiki during steamed hijiki manufacturing process was within the range of 8.213-14.356 mg/kg, and it is a potential source of inorganic arsenic, which can result in re-contamination and cause environmental pollution. The removal efficiencies of the various removal methods were within the range of 57.3-83.4%, and 19.0% reduction was achieved using activated carbon and alginate bead. Further, activated carbon showed the best adsorption effect of inorganic arsenic. Therefore, we suggest that activated carbon is a suitable efficient method for removing inorganic arsenic and has low operational costs in field applicability.

Recently, social interest in measures to prevent fires has been increasing due to fires that have caused great damage to people, such as the fire at the Icheon Logistics Center. However, due to the corona 19 virus that started in Wuhan, China, people are crowded and they are refraining from engaging in face-to-face activities. It is required a virtual fire evacuation drill which is a non-face-to-face through the fire simulation, which is a computer program. In the fire simulation, it has not yet been established for quantitative fire characteristics such as the heat release rate, the location of the fire, and the fire growth rate. So, the input variables of the fire simulation are selectively implemented at the discretion of the user, resulting in different results for each user. And the size of the building and the openings are not reflected, and the heat release rate has not been calculated in consideration of flashover. Therefore, in this study, the heat release rate that is expected to occur flashover is calculated though the theoretical equations considering the ventilation factor in NFPA. Finally, it is provided the basic data for virtual fire evacuation drill of the Available Safe Egress Time considering the size and opening the building.
맥락적 사용자 조사 기반의 스마트홈 서비스 시나리오 발굴

현재의 스마트홈(smart home)은 주거 공간에 정보기술이 도입되어 가사활동뿐만이 아니라 다양한 분야의 서비스를 제공하고 있다. 최근 IT시장의 동향을 보면 기술발전 가능성에 따른 예측으로 스마트홈 환경에 대한 여러 시나리오(scenario)들이 제한 없이 범람하고 있는 것을 볼 수 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 기술 중심이 아닌 사용자경험을 기반으로 한 스마트홈 서비스를 제안하고 프로토타이핑을 통하여 그 가치를 확인하고자 한다. 이를 위해 스마트 홈에서 확장될 수 있는 커뮤니케이션(communication), 커머스(commerce), 헬스(health) 부분 중심으로 유저다이어리(user diary)와 컨텍스추얼 인콰이어리(contextual inquiry) 방법론을 적용하여 맥락적 사용자 조사를 진행하였다. 사용자 조사를 통해 얻은 데이터를 분석하여 사용자들의 니즈(needs)와 행동패턴을 파악하고 추출된 데이터를 기반으로 공통적인 부분을 발견하고 분석하여 핵심이슈 14개를 도출하였다. 이를 기반으로 5가지 행동패턴의 퍼소나를 추출하고 각 퍼소나를 중심으로 Ideation을 전개하여 스마트홈 서비스 시나리오를 발굴하였다. 더불어 제안하고자 하는 서비스 시나리오를 프로토타이핑 테스트를 통해 사용자들에게 어떠한 가치를 가지는지 평가하였다. 이는 UX기반의 스마트홈 서비스 범위를 확장시키는 기초연구가 될 것으로 기대한다. Current Smart Home System provides services in various areas which are not limited to housekeeping activity since the information technology has been introduced at residential space. According to recently technology development, the scenarios on Smart Home environment becomes too many without any limitation. In this study, Smart Home service based on contextual user research will be suggested, so we recruited 15 users in Communication, Health, and Commerce parts centrally which can be extended from Smart Home. And we investigated those users with User Diary and Contextual Inquiry methodology. Grasping the needs of the users and their behavior pattern became possible through the analysis on the data obtained from the inquiry. As arranging them, we deducted 14 key issues and made the 5 Persona of behavior pattern based on the issues. And it led to develop various scenarios especially on 5 Personas. Moreover, we verified effects of the suggested scenarios through Prototyping. This would be expected to become the fundamental study which extends the service range of Smart Home based on UX.
서비스디자인을 위한 2D 애니메이션 기반의 모션 프로토타이핑 도구 개발에 관한 연구

최근 한국 산업에서 산업 시장에서 서비스디자인이 주목됨에 따라 서비스디자이너의 역할과 그 의미가 확대됨을 인식할 수 있다. 이에 서비스디자이너가 좋은 서비스디자인을 제안하고 창출하는 것이 무엇보다 중요한 시점이 되었다. 서비스디자인은 서비스의 질을 평가하는 프로토타이핑 단계에서 최종 결과물을 평가, 또는 이해관계자들과 공유하여 문제 발견과 대안을 제시할 수 있다. 하지만 기존 전통적인 서비스디자인 프로토타이핑 방법론에서 공간적, 시간적, 비용적 등 다양한 제한 및 어려움을 찾을 수 있었다. 이를 개선할 수 있는 방법으로 서비스의 흐름과 정황을 시각적으로 표현할 수 있는 2D 애니메이션 저작 도구의 방법을 차용한 모션 프로토타이핑 도구를 개발하였다. 그리고 검증을 위해 기존 서비스디자인프로토타이핑 방법론들을 파악하고, 대표가 될 수 있는 방법론 하나를 선정하여 실제 테스트를 통해 문제점과 개선될 수 있는 점을 확인하였다. 결과적으로, 본 논문에서 개발된 모션 프로토타이핑 도구는 서비스디자인 업계에서 서비스디자이너가 빠르고 쉽게 서비스디자인을 프로토타이핑할 수 있는 환경을 제공할 것과 서비스디자이너의 협업 도구로써 활용될 수 있길 기대한다. These days, service design draws a lot of attention in the Korean industrial areas. That is because many firms tend to make investment in service design as a differentiated strategy after technical gaps come to be narrowed in industry As a result, it is considered that the role of service designers who are capable of designing good services is of importance. Service design means designing all tangible and intangible factors that customers experience through services and the services of all paths. In the prototyping step where service quality is evaluated, final outputs can be assessed, or can be shared with those concerned to find problems and suggest alternatives. However, the existing traditional service design prototyping methodology has various kinds of difficulties in terms of spatial, temporal, and cost aspects. As an improvement method, this study tries to propose a motion prototyping tool based on 2D animation tool which can be used to express service flow and situations visually, though it is not aimed for service designers. It is expected that this study will contribute to helping service designers prototype service designs quickly and easily and providing the environment to create more convenient and better services.
