      • 精油生藥의 乾燥條件에 對한 硏究

        The optimum temperature for drying several botanical drugs Containing essential oils was determined by drying at various temperatures ranging from 20° to 100℃ and by comparing the yields of the essential oils after the drying. The results show that the conventional method of drying in shade and at room temperature die not necessarity prevent the loss of the valatile oils druing the drying process and, on the contrary, that drying at 80℃ gave the highest yields of the oils: that is, it caused the least loss of the oils. It is possible, therefore, to point out that the drying method at higher temperatures than the room temperature is a more effective method , since it reduces the long period of drying time needed for the room temperature drying and it can also avoid possible changes in quality of the drugs.

      • Thalictrum 屬 植物의 解剖學的 硏究(Ⅰ)

        In Korea and China the herbs of genus Thalictrum and genus Epimedii are both sometimes used as Epimedii Herba. Before examining the special physiological functions of these two genera,it is necessary to study the ingredients of both of the plants.At first,to identify the species of Thalictrum,I have made histological comparisons in the tubers,roots,stems,and the leaf epidermal pattrens of them. The result of anatomical investigation on the six Thalictrum species,with were collected at various districts in Southern Korea,have shown remarkable differences in the characteristics of tissues,particulary in the root.(Table I) Two species,Thalictrum actaefolium and T.tuberiferum,are significantly different from each other in that they are collected in different area,even though they have the same external structure. The table of identification of Thalictrum species in the root tissues is as follows; 1)T.simplex.....triarch radial vascular bundle,round shaped root,root hairs. 2)T.thunbergii.....triarch radial vascular bundle,round shaped root,no root hairs. 3)T.coreanum.....pentarch radial vascular bundle,very small round shaped,no root hairs. 4)T.aquilegifolium...pentarch radial vascular bundle,round shaped root,no root hairs. 5)T.actaefolium Ⅰ...tetrarch or pentarch radial vascular bundle,square or polygonal shaped root,no root hairs. T.actaefolium Ⅱ...tetrarch radial vascular bundle,squaped shaped root,root hairs. 6)T. tuberiferum Ⅰ...pentarch radial vascular bundle,round shaped root,root hairs. T.tuberiferum Ⅱ...tetrarch radial vascular bundle,round shaped root,no root hairs,no endodermis

      • 韓國産 Thalictrum 屬植物의 細胞分類的 硏究

        Langlet (1927) and Kuhn (1928)found that the basic numbers of chromome are 7 in the genus Thalictrum. The chromosome numbers are studied on 7 species of the genus Thalictrum growing in South Korea. The material plants are listed in Table I. I found that the somatic chromosome numbers are 2n=14 in 6.species of T. ttuberife rum Max. T uchiyamai Nakai, T.taquetii Leveille,T coreanum Leveille var. minus Nakai, T. aquilegifolium L. var. japonica Nakai and 2n=28in T. rochebrunnianum Franch. et Savat. The somatic chromosome numbers of the taxa are also showing polyploid series of 7 and T-type representing short and small chromepomes. The somatic chromosome numbers of the T.uchiyamai Nakai and T. actaefolium Sieb. et Zuca. are showing same number that Kurita has reported.

        The previous studies on the components of the genus Thalictrum in our Laboratory intended to fractionate alkaloids of them by thin layer chromatography. From the methanol extracts of T. uchiyami Nakai var. hypoleucum, presence of 7 known alkaloids was proved by T.L.C. screening methods.

      • 자주꿩의다리(Thalictrum uchiyamai Nakai var. hypoleucum)의 成分에 關한 硏究[第二報]

        著者들은 Thalictrum uchiyamai var. hypoleucum의 Et_2O ex. 중에서 mp 276~278 [α]^25_D=+44˚인 物質을 抽出, 分離하였다. 이 物質은 약간 甘味가 있는 微細한 淡黃色 針狀晶이며 有機溶媒에 대한 溶解性은 더운 ethanol, methanol, ether 등에는 녹는다. Mg+HCL액에 등홍색을 띠고, 1% FeCL_3 액에 汚綠色으로 呈色한다. 이 物質의 化學構造를 化學的 方法과 TLC, UV, IR등을 實施하여 檢討하였다. 즉 Acetyl 化하여 tetra-acetyl 化合物과 alkali 分解物質에서 phloroglucinol을 確認함으로써 자주꿩의다리에서 分離해 낸 物質은 flavonol系에 속하며 5위와 7위에 ?OH 基가 存在함과 p-hydroxy benzoic acid의 生成은 2위에 있는 phenyl기의 4´ 위에 ?OH 基가 있음을 알 수 있었고, 또한 이 結晶의 0.01% alc. 용액의 UV spectrum의 最大吸收는 λ^EtOH_max 265, 365nm이므로 3위에 -OH基가 存在함을 알 수 있었다. 이 結晶을 酸 처리한 다음, mp를 測定하고 UV spectrum을 比較한 결과, 아무런 변화도 認定할 수 없으므로 이 結晶은 酸에 安定한 物質 C_15H_10O_6인 kaempferol로 確認하였다. Phytochemical investigation of Thalictrum uchiyamai Nakai var. hypoleucum has evealed the presence of kaempferol. It was obtained as a yellow crystalline compound, [α]^25_D=+44(C=2, pyridine), C_15H_10O_6 mp 276-278˚ and gave an olive-green color with Mg-HCl. IR showed ?OH & α,β-unsaturated C=O absorption at 3400-3200 and 1655 cm^-1 respectively and UV spectrum in EtOH has maxima at 270 and 365 nm, characteristic of a flavonol having a free 3-OH group.
